You over heated it the battery would be my guess. The lithium battery has a smart ABS battery monitoring system on it for controlling the battery discharge and charge. If you take a temp gun to it the next time it quits see the battery temps. Either cut at a higher setting to lower the load on the battery or a cooler day to keep the battery temp down I would think would get it done for you without quitting. Just my guess. Lithium batteries with their monitoring system so they don't do a thermal runaway melt down and catch fire is kind of industry standard on a lithium battery pack

Could be the handles were not fully extended. I will shut down for that.
Did the battery come wet in the box? Literally jus bought this mower but the battery had some sort of liquid on it smh

Mine is just a year old and stopped working. Handles extended and all. Trash product.
