Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
You guys are one of the few channels I watch consistently. One of the reasons is because I'm battling depression. I can always count on a smile and hopeful thoughts when I watch. You guys are great thank you for such quality content.

Imagine being lost for days in the Finnish wilderness, starving, cold, and frostbitten, you see shelter in the horizon. You think you're saved and you've found warm shelter for the night, but when you finally make it to the house...it's made of ice.

I love snowmobiling. I haven't been in awhile. Here in Manitoba it's a yearly event and alot of people own them like a second vehicle. People here get dissapointing when there's not enough snow and can't ride. Things on takes for granted 😊
You guys are always delightful people, but something about this episode just goes above and beyond. Such genuine warmth. For a lot of us who've maybe had some real upsets over the past year, maybe some issues with depression, etc... Thank you.

As a Swede I thoroughly enjoy seeing you love the snow so much. I personally love to ski and when the first snow of the winter comes but after a few months of it I always just wants it to melt. Thanks for reminding me not to take our climate for granted and that snow truly is amazing! So glad you are enjoying the Nordic countries!

I’m finally getting around to watching this one. That is awesome! I have found over many years of camping on motorcycle trips that the less you wear in your sleeping bag the warmer you will be! Personally I just wear a T-shirt and a pair of shorts no matter what the weather is like outside! I am really enjoying all of your videos and I still have quite a few to watch!

@@Souliona ^^^ this is nooooooot true. At all. Sometimes even Norwegians from different regions of the country can barely understand each other. And Danish is INCREDIBLY different than Norwegian and swedish. Total rubbish. The only language which is even remotely close to Old Norse now is Icelandic and Faroese.

Hey Kara & Nate, I really enjoyed this video - especially the Apukka Resort section, since it reminded me so much of the two trips I made to Kuusamo during the 2000s. Finland is just a special country - especially the Northern part, which is nonetheless but breathtaking during all seasons. I grew up in Alaska. I laughed in the beginning when Kara was cold. Nothing a little snow machine adventure can't resolve in a few short minutes. Glad that you guys are finally getting to explore the wonders of the norther latitudes in the winter time. Plus, I very much enjoyed the crunch of the snow under your feet in the last video as it bought back may high school memories.
Wow great for you on summer we get 40-50 Degrees Celsius and i wear a coat when it’s like 20 degrees Celsius during winter 😂😂😂 now it’s currently 6/12/20 12:40pm and we’re at 17 degrees Celsius, our all time low this year is 16 degrees Celsius so i’m sure you’re gonna get a good laugh out of that!

Watching this in 92F. It's much easier to stay warm with the right gear than it is to stay cool. Yeah, if I could walk, I'd stay in that ice cabin. As for right now, I'm just going to try to make my cheeks stop hurting from smiling so much at your great footage. The drone shots were beautiful!

I'm shivering just watching this, lol. I grew up and still live in Northern Ontario, Canada, and we made snow forts all the time as kids, with snow furniture, snow lamps, and even a fake snow tv (the shape of a tv with a magazine photo as a screen, lol). We were never allowed to sleep in them though, lol.

Rovaniemi around Christmas it's very special, I went both summer and winter totally recommended. You should go to the North Cape in Norway to watch the Midnight Sun. Road trip in Norway, Finland and Sweden is awesome! The landscape.......AND sleeping in an ice cabin/hotel is the best experience of my life. Warm greetings from Panama
