I think this would also be a good option for people who have already gotten curb rash , cheaper covering it up with this vs getting them professionally repaired
Great video, I’ll have to use the information in the description and order one for my Model Y. May I ask, co you by chance know if they’re any extra steps needed if you have the change the tires? Please and thank you.
I live on the East Coast where it snows frequently, leading to the salting of the streets. I'm concerned that dirt and salt could accumulate between the wheel cover and scratch the rim.
Hey thanks for the great video ! I appreciate and learned a lot of things for my new MYLR 2024 (black on black like you previous one) thanks to you. I have a question, when I washed my car today, I noticed that the 20 inches Tesla induction wheels keep a lot of water just inside the wheel after a wash. Did you noticed this ? What would you suggest ? Thanks
@@Myksgarage ok thank you. I ordered a YLR, and the local dealer offered me a free upgrade to 20 inch and I took it. Now I’m reading I might be sacrificing comfort and range. I’m not sure how much it’ll really matter though.
@ I do not regret them. They look way better. Hard to compare as far as comfort, because I don’t drive on the 19s. I would say the suspension was pretty stiff, not sure if it has loosened up or if I’ve just gotten used to it. Overall, I love the car. I love the car with the 20s.
I really don't understand how most tesla owners seem to have never had another car before that had low profile tires. Why is the rim protector even a thing? How are these people constantly curbing their rims? I can count on one finger the amount of times I've hit a curb with my tire in the past 30 years.
Sorry Evbase cheap plastic rim protector does not protect the rim. My tesla rim got scraped when piece of this cheap EVBASE rim protector piece broke off. It was from just a slow wheel turning movement when exiting the parking. Just stay away from the curb and protect your rim. Evbase does NOT post my negativ ereview at their site too

I would think they would need to be removed when changing tires, but they are simple to snap on and off

Well they do snap off easily so they could be cleaned regularly if needed
Unfortunately, the padded double-sided tape they use will hold onto salt deposits.
When clipping on the rims .. have you removed and checked to see if it hasnt damaged the rims when clipping it on ..
Not yet, I'll have to check that out

Hi- this is a video for installing the Tesla Tim protection
Rim protection, yes
hi my friend
i have Tesla model 3 highlight 2024 performance,
should i remove Aero Wheels that comes on the wheels before install MagBak?
Will those Magbak covers fit over the covers?
So what happens when you replace tires will it get ruined ?
It just come off when you replace tires
If you could get the 20 inch wheels for the same price as 19, would you take them? Or do you prefer the 19’s?
20s all day long, they just look so much better

Every car I I have owned over the past 20 years has had low profile tires. The problem is those dang Chick-fil-A drive thrus!
@@Myksgarage I don't even bother anymore. I park and walk in.
Some of us have wives 😅
I have a similiar product on my Taycan as does many in the community. This is not just a Tesla thing. You're clearly just projecting.
@@Dark_Vader888 How am I projecting? I'm not the one that can't avoid curbs and is trying to blame the rims for user error.
just don't hit any curbs and you won't have to put plastic on your rims, lol.
My wife drives this car......

I've had good a experience with them
Nothing can really protect a rim if you scrape a curb.
I guess we'll see
