Ok I have tested this out just a little bit since I watched your video the other day and I have tried the “window” of contract opportunity doing about ten minutes on either side of any half hour period and in 24 “windows of opportunity” in owf or dungeons, I have gotten four contracts! I have had three different weeks since the familiar system dropped where I didn’t get ANY contracts at all, and I have been lucky to get only ONE in a week so this is a huge improvement and it’s only Friday! Thank you so much for detailing this process! You are a treasure!

Thank you so much for this video. I have got more contracts this week than the entire time since they were introduced. Just a small note, today I got one at 1:07pm. I was just about to quit and killed another pack of blues and it dropped.
You are welcome! As I said in the video small shifts are possible. XX:29 - 36 and XX:59 - 06 time frames are most likely attached to the time of "daily reward" server restart (while making video it was 2:59am). I noticed it is not fixed always to 3:00 am. Anytime they do some hot fixes or updates that restart moment is shifing +/- 1 min. Basically if server restarts at 3:05 am most likely time frames will shift + 5 min as well. Such big shift didn't happen so far, so I can't be 100% sure. Just by adding 1 min tolerance, you avoid any issues it seems.

Since I saw this video, I did countless cursed towers runs during the timeframe, and some out of it too, and I got ONE contract (yesterday). 😭😭😭 Its very rare for a orange elite to even show to me and now I read comments of ppl dropping contracts from packs of blue monsters, come on... D: I might start another account, mines probably not made for that. :'(
@MyHappyUnicorn yeah I did notice some people reported that didn't work for them. As far as we tested 1 guy get first contract after 3 days but same day he recived another 5. I think you have to keep trying. But still it's wierd that some people got 5 out of 7 runs while other like you got nothing. A bit similar like with legendary crests.
@@vk.videos while doing bounty's with several wb buddies, I told them about this and I had them come do a loop during the window, all 3 got contract within 3rd elite spawn. This was at the 13:00 clock, but later afternoon couldn't find any while farming ow in party 3/4 this time with different friends, time range was 14:30-17:40 during the 3hr should've had 7 windows for drops, nobody else got any either and they definitely weren't convinced as intended, talking about all just being superstitions. Now I'm wondering there could be more to this, perhaps something similar to fishing the special ancient catches that only occur during certain times of the day in specific zones. VK Perhaps you could investigate through your records to see if there's any noticable pattern tied with that, it may be set during times there are other activities going when people are less likely to encounter elites for example bg times 8:00-10:00, 12:00-14:00, 18:00-20:00 or certain other time frames in addition to just the (X:59-X:07) because familiar contracts dropped a long time before there were terror rifts so basing timeline on them can't be accurate. On another more significant topic, need to decode the theory's of mechanics for increased quality on legendary gem drops, which I'm sure these mechanics do exist just haven't had enough recorded data for an analysis to be able to successfully pinpoint on them. Surly will be a much more difficult project, however it's something that can be solved by enough involvement, would take more than a handful of people perhaps even several hundred involved in an organized data collection, etc.. but I'm sure you know what I mean
New development for you.. this also works when trying to get legendary pets with savior.. do all your contract summons and all your conversions.. at the same magic times.. 59-05 of the hour and 29-35 mid hour..
You are really amazing coming up with this. My efficiency got a huge boost thanks to you, i am very grateful. I tested it the last days, it is just like you said. I spent 1h at a time in tower a couple of times while waiting during the droptimes: no contracts and very few legendaries. Afterwards i did the opposite, went in at droptimes and waited the rest of time: Contracts started dropping and also more legendaries. In the earlier time window at around 9pm alone i got 2 contracts and 2 Legendaries. (It was my first attempt this week)
I think this may appply to elder rift drops as well, I have had similar experiences as a whale. Never had proof but had a similar theory. Thank you for the info and effort bro. I’m the guy in the echo vids.
Amazing breakdown! I was looking for a more consistent way to farm contracts and this video definitely delivered. I have tested this out for 2 days now and I have managed to get 5 contracts so far. The only thing I would like to add is that one of the contacts did not drop in the timeframe, I recorded its drop at xx:08. Also, another contract dropped when terror rifts were inactive for the day. Looking to test this out with my clan mates and you earned a sub from me! Cheers 👍

I got a contract right at 6:03pm server time tonight and then nothing at the next half hour bc I didn’t take a break apparently. Tomorrow, will try about ten minutes surrounding each half hour. Bad to hear that but still thanks for your feedback. I was wondering how many people gonna say so. During my tests one guy didn't recive any till day 3 but then got 6 in one day. I have no idea why it works like this... some people are getting them quite easly other people are struggling. But it's still working.
Continue farming in the timeframe and got maybe bout 10 contracts or more with my 3 heroes in total for a week, but noticed that at night, late night after midnight very very hard to obtain, I’m nightshirt and almost none after midnight, but during the terror rifts hours, lot. Most of the time when I hit the timeframe and I see in the world chat terror rift open, almost instantly I got a contract
In the first 6 mons of the game there was a mechanic in elder rift that if you equip leg crest when u enter it counts as part of your pity drop you dont need to finish the rift you just need to exit. Then you have to count how many times you equip and enter exit the rift and finishing the whole elder rift with a leg crest on your 50th. System will count all times u entered with leg crest
I'll have to try this. I've never gotten more than 3 in the same week, but they've dropped in towers, E-rifts, dungeons, and open world. Mostly towers, as there's lots of elites in higher density.

Towers: don't get shards or time gather hordes and use the pillers as a dps kill point of u keep tapping they'll follow u.

My observation and experience on 5s gem drops: At least one 5s drop in every five 3-LC solo run. For some reason, running with a partner or a party makes the chances of drops very rare to none at all.
I hear some clan mates reports that they shifted it however all contracts I got were exactly in the middle of time frame. I didn't do much attempts lately, but drop chance seem to a bit lower. Can't confirm it 100% yet.
For the gems drop rates. I spend about 100 legendary crest. On elder rift. With randoms/WB/ friends. And only got 3 5* 2 And those past 3 days. I spend about 40 leg crest. And got 6 5* 2 4 5* 3 1 5* 5 But i did it solo. Dnt remeber the time. I decide to do mine solo bkoz i watch a vid on yt And the guys each of his x10 run. He was getting atleast 1 5*
@@thauronn Were you only running towers? I was and I think they removed contracts from the loot pool in towers. Clan mates have told me they got drops at these times in dungeons and rifts but no towers.
So in this video you say its a 7 minute window but i just did tower and got one at 6:11 and my server resets at 3am, so i think the window is 13 minutes or when terror rifts end . So if you dont get one in the 7 minute window keep killing elites until 13 minutes
The question is, how many contracts were you able to obtain out of time frame? Are you sure it dropped at 6:11 or you picked it up at this time, but there is a slight chance it actually dropped earlier. About Terror Rifts I doubt, I noticed and started testing it way before Terror Rift has been introduced. Another thing is that we can't be 100% sure if there is some kind of contracts pool released every half hour, so as long as it's not drained out, there is a chance to drop. It's difficult to say. Just wanted to be as precise as possible, but obviously I couldn't investigate every single case. With that being said most of my contracts drop at 00-03 and 30-33 so far. Way less at 04-06 and 34-36. After this time I dropped none. (Countless attempts) so to be most time efficient I decided to not run any longer than 7 min. Occasionally I do though but since all my items are ranked up to 30lvl I don't see any reason to do so, unless I run for regular gems. Remember that there is ten contracts per week limit or at least I haven't hear anyone could get more. So there is no point to farm it endlessly.

So best thing do to is play 24/7 😂 just in case ,damn so much overcomplicated cr*p in a mobile game when its obviously just done on purpose to create full 24h grindfest.
Thanks for info. But this reinforces my view that nothing in this game governed by rng is flat. It's always going to be weighted in some manner. It's been my hunch and experience. Furthermore having been in the software industry for a long time, I've come to know several programmers and level designers. They basically tell me the same thing: If you believe an aspect of the game is completely random, then we did our job by fooling you.

server Azmodan, following the timeframe. doesn't work. For the contribution, I've recorded the time i got 4x contracts within a day. I got a contract 13:22, 15:18, 17:19, 21:22... but does it work the following day within the timeframe that I got the contracts? Answer is No. -+3-4mins of those times as well.

Is it only just me? The contract no longer lights up on the ground like legendary items, so I couldn’t tell if I got one until I look into the inventory Anyways I can almost confirm this method works for me only during terror rifts hours……so either farm terror or farm contract which is a shame
For familiar contracts - it is! Just give it a try, go tower and run hard this ~7 min and You will see. Boss and rusty give biggest chance, but yellow and blue can give as well :) Only in time mentioned in video

tried it in tower from x59 to x:15 no luck- had an orange between 59-07 but no contracts

Try tomb of fahir or mad king's dungeons. 1 lair . try to spam kill elites and reset dungeon, no need to kill last boss

Can confirm this method works, tried this method 30 mins apart and got two drops basically instantly.
Im not receiving any familiar contract at cursed Tower, starting when the new event goblin treasure.
Any confirmation if this still works? Hearing reports they either nerfed it or switched the drop window as a result of this being exposed.

Since changing class to Tempest, I can't seem to get contracts to drop. Did something change or is this a Tempest bug?

Another thing is that we can't be 100% sure if there is some kind of contracts pool released every half hour, so as long as it's not drained out, there is a chance to drop. It's difficult to say. Just wanted to be as precise as possible, but obviously I couldn't investigate every single case.
With that being said most of my contracts drop at 00-03 and 30-33 so far.
Way less at 04-06 and 34-36. After this time I dropped none. (Countless attempts) so to be most time efficient I decided to not run any longer than 7 min. Occasionally I do though but since all my items are ranked up to 30lvl I don't see any reason to do so, unless I run for regular gems.
Remember that there is ten contracts per week limit or at least I haven't hear anyone could get more. So there is no point to farm it endlessly.
@vk.videos I'm sure cause I commented as soon as it dropped. And the other thing is I kept killing elites after time expired so for 5 minutes I wasn't getting cursed shards.
I bet Magic find% has something to do with increasing drop rate, just like hidden lairs spawning.

First run; unfortunately no contract drop - however 4 legendaries within those 7 minutes in accursed tower.
So best thing do to is play 24/7 😂 just in case ,damn so much overcomplicated cr*p in a mobile game when its obviously just done on purpose to create full 24h grindfest.
I didn't know you could farm contracts. Have got 2 with spamming dungeons, just 1 each day.

Thanks for info. But this reinforces my view that nothing in this game governed by rng is flat. It's always going to be weighted in some manner. It's been my hunch and experience.
Furthermore having been in the software industry for a long time, I've come to know several programmers and level designers. They basically tell me the same thing: If you believe an aspect of the game is completely random, then we did our job by fooling you.

Testing the whole day in Germany but it don’t work well…i was wrong ..got 4 Contracts in 2 Days and iam Running with 10 red Crest at 7:02 and got a 5/5 Blessing of the Worthy if the Blessing is a Coincidence i don’t know…Thank you Sir
I tested that strategy and the contract drop is slightly less than 10% in a week I got 4 contracts in 90% is legendary items

server Azmodan, following the timeframe. doesn't work. For the contribution, I've recorded the time i got 4x contracts within a day. I got a contract 13:22, 15:18, 17:19, 21:22... but does it work the following day within the timeframe that I got the contracts? Answer is No. -+3-4mins of those times as well.
Has anyone tested if the 3 contracts you buy from Nisza count towards your cap? Someone was mentioning in world chat, Ill test it next week. just wondering if anyone knows. Might be able to squeeze a couple more out
In my opinion they don't. This week I already have 8 dropped + 3 from Nisha.
Maybe next time I should buy Nisha's contract at Sunday

They are just inside time frame it means you can drop any minute between 59 - 06 and 29 - 36

Exactly trying is all you can do. If you do it in the time frame it should finally work out.
Is it only just me? The contract no longer lights up on the ground like legendary items, so I couldn’t tell if I got one until I look into the inventory
Anyways I can almost confirm this method works for me only during terror rifts hours……so either farm terror or farm contract which is a shame

For familiar contracts - it is! Just give it a try, go tower and run hard this ~7 min and You will see. Boss and rusty give biggest chance, but yellow and blue can give as well :)
