Chris is an ace.... Definitely earning his pay. The whole fleet is going to benefit from an extra pair of eyes and hands doing maintenance, repairs, and assembly when needed.👍
Chris is a true professional that trailer looks amazing, lots of progress at the shop great video Steve got blessed when Chris showed up with all his skill👍👍👍
The step deck trailer is looking great. Chris did a beautiful paint job. The both of you did great work rebuilding the step deck, looks good. Hiring Chris to help you in the shop was a good business decision.
From what I have found about the Cummins motor is the fuel system is taken In air somewhere when the throttle lags like that, or fuel lines are starting to break down causing a blockage in getting fuel to the pump, if it has flexible lines I would look at replacing them after you replace the fuel filter 1st
Steve you fell on your feet when Chris decided to say Yes and work with you He is a PURE GEM and has also turned out to be a good friend that happens to enjoy what you do too. Love the way you bounce off each other too it’s good to see Till the next video God bless you both and stay safe
Me and my brother ranned our shop together. We painted tractor frames, Riggs,, heavy construction equipment, etc, what we can fit in our shop. We also did a 90-ton Grove Crain that was to big to fit in shop so we did it outside in the parking lot. A guy built a step deck trailer and I sandblast it out back then we moved it in the shop and put it up on 12-ton jackstand and we primed it and painted it black it was a 3 axcel trailer with two lift axcel on it. It took 4 gallons of red oxide primer and 7 gallons of black, but we use one gallon pressure pot to paint it was faster than a gravity paint gun because you weren't hitting the cup on frame areas and with a pot you can get in craziest of joints. It took us 2 days to paint,we did the under the trailer first and we laid the paint heavy and 5 coats of paint and the next day painted the top of trailer with 3 coats of paint. And if you wanted to do it even faster, airless sprayer will also work but its a lot messer and you'll have to cover up everything in shop. Criss you did a beautiful job spray painting the stepdeack . So I know what you went through spraying.
Chris is a very hard working guy, I take my hat off to him, he just reminded me of when I was young always on the go, just like Steve & Orwell great guys. Xx
FSC the best investment you made is taking on chris would like to see much more of him he is full of good quality work and experience in the trucking industry looking forward to seeing Chris out in a truck
I would have to agree Chris's wealth of knowledge is worth its weight in gold he is truly a master at fixing whatever it is that Steve needs to have fixed lol.
Have you thought about getting a winch for the shop, or heavy duty forklift to assist in getting stuff in and out of the shop? That is 100% BLUE. I’m seeing a truck and trailer matching. 🎉
Priming & painting a trailer frame is a serious undertaking. Every I Beam of steel has @ 10 sides counting the edges plus they are long. Also being done by one individual can you imagine the back, neck, and arm muscle aches. Rebuilding old equipment is at least twice the work and more if you figure the learning curve. Steve, I know that Chris and you deserve every “Thumbs Up” you receive on You Tube and on the road!! Just notice Chris’s bright blue jeans and work boots!!
I have gotta say that Chris is one hell of a craftsman I don't want to send mechanic cuz his mechanical work is more like craft a fine art if you will. A worker like Chris is getting harder and harder to find. Keep up the great jod
🍭SWEET🍭That trailer looks so sweet!👍🏻So Steve…. When ya going to hire a full time on staff chiropractor for Chris?? Mercy, what a excellent job he did! Stay safe🙏🏼💖👍🏻🇺🇸🌞
@fsctrucking Steve and Chris, that blue is popping on the stepdeck trailer. I had made the suggestion before regarding the wiring and plumbing on the trailer. Stainless fuel tubing for the chassis airlines and thickwall EMT with high-grade silicon wires for the electrics. With the EMT, you can use pull elbows and square boxes with gasketed covers, and any cabling can exit in watertight compression grommets. Menards will have the EMT stuff. And get a 100 foot or maybe 250 foot spool of the half inch stainless fuel line. On the wires, go up 2 wire gage sizes for the full run to reduce voltage drop to the far end of the trailer lights. Edit 2: look for a local guy with one of those consumer sawmills and get your decking that way it should save you quite a bit compared to a box store or lumber supply house.
Since Chris's clothes & boots are already oversprayed, ya might as well mask off some stripes & shoot Elaine blue too. Sort of a match to Orwell. Go Team FSC.
Chris your the man to breathe new life into a now beautiful trailer. FSC. Is the step deck you are running owned by you or the company you haul for? Curious. Thanks.
Steve that Trailer looks great can't wait to see ya pulling it behind Orwell!! Chris is a good all round mechanic and Painter seems like a great guy!!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Steve, Tell Chris he miss a spot on the trailers front extensions as he not paint that part. Awesome work he has done so far give him a raise & insurance benefits. -Cheers!
@FSCtrucking, when I pulled into the shop at Jamestown Transportation’s shop, I would always pray it was him doing any work on my truck. He is a true Rock Star. Tell him that Greg Hyatt said that. Man, you hit the absolute jackpot in being able to pick up Chris. Don’t let that one get away from you!
Hey stave how are you doing I like the stepdack it looks very nice and like the blue and I like watching your RUclips video and I like the way you explain things to your viewers

Steve, get Orwell polished to when you get your “new” trailer attached, that would look mint! Plus some aluminium wheels on the trailer too, you & Chris together are brilliant! Keep up the good work buddy 👍🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
They use an electroplating process to dip prime. The primer is positive charged and the cabs are negative charged. It literally attracts the primer to all the metal. It's basically wet powder coating. IIRC the book in question it was for the KW factory.
Man I hope you are taking good care Of Chris he is a hell of a worker, a man like that is hard to find. Knowledgeable and dependable.
Chris? Is that you Chris?
People like him are very hard to find these days. He shows up and gets to it, you can't even get people to show up
