Hey I just want to say “Thank You”. After watching your videos about your boots, I went ahead and called Franks and ordered a pair myself. I just received them and I am blown away by the quality and detail to the craftsmanship.
Back when you got that first pair of brown commanders with the lineman patch I was on the fence between nicks and franks and I took your advice given from your video and now I got a couple of pair of commanders and I couldn't be happier with franks boots. They do the same thing every day and are dependable and tough. I won't put anything except franks on my feet. Thank you man for the videos, stay safe out there.
Brother I dig your straight shootin approach. I am recently retired from IBEW local 47 as a Groundman. So let me start with saying Thank You for what you do. I admire the skills Lineman poses. Now ,I believe the Franks will be my next BIG purchase for my tired size 12s the man upstair fitted my 5'8" body with. Some comedian he be at times. How could I not believe a Lineman when he take the time to clue me. Be safe out there.
For leather goods... I love my Mr Lentz chain wallet. Found them off Facebook, best wallet I've ever had. For PNW boots JK bison OTs have been the best thing I've ever put on my feet... lots of hours walking around and riding motorcycle, but not a lot of heavy duty shit kicking. I'm a trucker. I have Frank's Patriots on order, looking forward to breaking them in. I liked your review a lot.
Hey welcome to the people’s republic of New Jersey. Good review. I’m curious to see how your first pair of type 1 commanders are holding up. I ordered a pair a couple of months ago.
I agree with you on leather appearance. Marks or blemishes add character. Some perfect leather cuts looks kinda fake to me. Guess I’m blue collar, aww shucks! But, I did just put an order into Frank’s for some Wicket & Craig Wilshires. Thinking about a pair of Patriots for riding my Harley. It’s a lot of boot for summer riding, but the price seems like a deal. Your opinion? Think it would be too hot in the summer? I was kinda thinking about an 8 inch boot with a v-bar or mini-lug sole, but you got me considering the Patriot.
I ride my Harley as often as I can, and I wear boots this heavy every day of the year, including on the bike. I do find that I want any lace-ups I wear to be plenty broken-in b4 riding with them though.
I think for someone interested in there first pair of handmade boots these are a great option. Not only are they stylish but functional for years of abuse.a damn good quality boot for the money
Some Gorilla all purpose glue budd, will seal that slash on your toe cap. I have a pair of Newbuck hiking boots that i used that on it, and those boots have another year of constant use in them 👍
The good word about the quality of Frank’s Boots is getting out! In the last 3 weeks I ordered Front Range, Awesome Boot, Patriots and T1 Commanders. Michelle, Veronica and Ashton invest time with their customers BECAUSE THEY TRULY CARE. I attest to this fact. The truth is easy to speak.
Not putting those boots down at all I can tell you from experience though that my Chippewa super loggers are super tough and very waterproof. I have two pair of them and have been in ankle deep water in transformer pits for hours. Never had wet feet. Buying some Nicks just to see what all the hype is about, but my 10 yr old Chippewas set a very high bar. We'll see.
Great review, I prefer blue collar workers reviews! I’m a Nick’s and wesco fan boy but thank’s to you review I’ll be looking into Frank’s. Thank for sharing and knowledge of leather I’ll definitely looking at this boots.
@@meancuisine8 pretty sure "Blake stitch" is a machine stitch type that stitches from the inside thru the insole... ruclips.net/video/kA8Mkl2N3g0/видео.html
How is the sizing? I always fit in a 10 US, in sneakers and a 9.5 in Dress shoes and 9 in timberlands. But I recently got my feet measured with a Brannock device and it says I’m a 10.5/11 with thick socks. This just confuses me cause I’m so used to wearing 10s across the board.
There are a lot of "American leather companies" that are made in Mexico. Pretty sad, really. Buffalo Jackson Trading co. Almost evey item, made in Mexico, or made in India.
good video as always, weird thing is you mention customer service - I reached out to franks a long time ago to get that wedge sole warehouse boot and they just didn't answer my email or seem remotely interested in selling me a product, which was the opposite of my experience with whites and JK boots. Also you mentioned whites sold out, but the stitching and finish on my whites boots is exponentially better than any other brand I own, not that it matters for work boots, but my JK boots just looked sloppy if you were to compare the two. I am not a leather worker like you, or a boot craftsman, but if I made boots like my JK and stitched them in that fashion I would be embarrassed to send them to a customer.
White's still does a decent job, but since they got bought out by a Japanese company they seem to have missed a step too often. Terrible to hear tour experience with Frank's. It is very rare I ever hear anything negative about them.
Awesome video brother. Agree 100% with the “character” of leather
When are we getting a patriot review big brotha???

Nick's customer service was a nightmare to deal with. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
Ordered Frank’s Patriot Boot Today. Thank you Keith.

Great looking boots !! and hats off to you for recognizing that it's just a COLD !!!!
Thanks for posting this, I didn’t know about this line and it is a great alternative.
I just looked them up on the website and the Patriot is showed to be offered in Black and Brown. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I ordered a pair of Nicks before I found out about franks patriots .
I’m going to order a pair of Patriots as soon as I can

I've got them in my cart. I think I'll order these. Thanks for the review!
Some holes on the sides would be cool like cowboy boots, so that you can pull them on. Idk what they’re called “pull holes”…
Instead of a pull loop
thanks for the video. are they ready stock or is there any lead time for it?

I ordered a pair for myself I can’t wait to try them out!

Great review! I'm debating on getting these. A bit overkill for use in aerospace but would last me a few decades.

If you are debating, you should just do it. You wont be sorry, and it's cheap money to get into a boot of this caliber. I love my franks

Good info because I have been looking for a pair but don’t have 600 plus $$$ I work with a chain saw a lot live in the mountains of n Calif 👍👍😎
Are these better than Red Wings?
Can you get roughout leather for $350 ?

What’s the heel height?
What’s the shirt/jacket?
IBEW 702 hand here. Check the tag in that hat it will probably make you sad. Been supporting filson since 99. Now I’m finding out they moved out
JK Boots are very good too.
How did it size?
Can I get no pull tab and all loop holes... 3 days later Nicks customer service will be like I refund the order for you 😅
I like mine. Prefer my wesco’s , but these are tough as fuck
