You should try boiling the cobs once you’re done getting the kernels off. I boil them for a long time until it becomes a flavourful corn stock which I then can. You can add it into corn chowder or taco soup or whatever you’d like to get a bit more corn flavour 😊
Try putting a damp dish cloth or towel flat under the container you’re catching the corn in (and under cutting boards). It keeps it from moving, and is much safer! Also, I diced up onions the same way last fall and froze them for use in all the soups and stuff I was making, and it was SO convenient! I found that just putting them all in a big freezer bag together works great-I can just scoop out however much I need. I ended up doing the same with carrots and celery, and will totally be doing the same thing this year.
I love meal prepping bell peppers & onions! I always save the skins & top layer of the onions & cut off the tops & bottoms of bell peppers save them in a freezer bag for bone broth! I also prep my bells peppers all together (yellow, red, orange & green) & freeze it in reusable silicone bags because I love how colorful & beautiful they make a homecooked meal. Prepped veggies in the freezer is a must-have! 🦋
You are a busy young woman and i love that you are carrying on the home preserving that you grew up with . You are a true blessing and i really enjoy your videos.brings back memories of hiw hard but how fulfilling it was to have the fruits of your labour to enjoy during the winter months. I too enjoy having things prepped in the freezer. I often do onions and celery together or onions, celery and carrots for soup or stews. Peppers like you such time saving prep. Have a wonderful long weekend. .God is good
I very much enjoy preserving, canning & freezing videos. The relish looked amazing. I just recently got a vegetable chopper & have really enjoyed it. The onions are a great idea. I may have to do that!
You know what I find hilarious. I consistently watch adelines video with great joy and think yes I need to do something like this, but then I walk into the kitchen look around then go and watch one of her older videos 😂😂😂
Watching this super early this morning and it was much appreciated!!! I have onions, potatoes and some fruit that all needs to be used or frozen and that is what is on my agenda today! Thanks for the inspiration!❤
I truly love your prep videos….well all of your videos!! I’ve been watching since you did daily vlogs at the farmhouse and I adore you and your sweet family. You’ve inspired me to prep my garlic and onions and I’ve been doing it for about a year now and I can’t tell you what a time saver it’s been for me!!! Where did you buy your bags(mesh)that you keep your onions in in your basement? I looked on your Amazon store and didn’t see them and I’d love to get some for myself and my daughters.
If you keep the corn cobs you can add to soups and it will thicken the soup. Also if you take corn cobs water and salt bring to a boil and simmer you can make a corn broth that can be used in recipes.
Adaline we cut our corn off the cob first and fill up a large pan to blanche it. It goes so much faster than cooking the cobs and dealing with the hot cobs.
I love to prepare meals and freeze them. I copied several of your recipes. Thank you. Can you please tell me the brand, size and where did you get the pot you use often. I thin is light blue? Thank you very much. ❤️
Do you ever make granola bars? I’m trying to learn how to make them so they actually stick together but it’s a challenge! I’m using your recipe mostly but I think I need more honey or something else sticky to help them stick together.
Did u know u can cook ur cobs of corn in ur pressure cooker. I cut my cobs in half and put them on a trivet and set for 5 minutes. When we are eating right away, I put in a cup of milk and 2 tbsps of butter abd the corn is buttery and creamy that u don't need to put butter on it to eat. Using the pressure cooker saves having to boil water and watch the corn. I have gotten so many compliments on how great the corn tastes.
oh my goodness chex mix and granola looks fantastic also Adaline can you please kindly share with me the brand , name and color of the paint you used on your parents kitchen cabinet and the paint color you used for your house i’m renovating a elderly family member home thanks
We heard that oats contain harmful pesticides and are afraid to eat them now......what do you suggest???????? We always loved them and have so much in our stock...quacker?????
We buy glyphosate free organic oats from One Degree Organic Foods! They are so transparent with their farming practices and delicious! Costco by me has them but you can get them online
To your dear Adaline. I asked you to add Turkish subtitles option. Because I can't understand the videos I watch. But I look at every video and there are no Turkish subtitles. That's why I decided not to watch your videos anymore. I'm also unsubscribing. Goodbye
Considering this is the first time since starting on RUclips that she has promoted alcohol, yes,it's a little surprising. But you can still great content without buying the wine. It's her free choice to drink it, it's your choice to not, as is mine.

I actually got them at Ikea, all though Amazon carries them as well! Look up mesh market bags.
Thank you so much 😊
Can you share the link to the little lamp you have in the corner of your kitchen? I've looked on your Amazon pg and don't see it.

Great tips!
You should make corn cob jelly with your cobs.
You mentioned you would share the recipe for the sweet pepper relish. Dont see it anywhere. Can you share that please. Looks and sounds delicious
Corn on the cob... microwave 3 ears for 3 min.. the take it off the cob & cool & freeze
Wonderful video
The Amish pick their corn at or before sunrise due for the sweetest corn due to the sugars 😉😊
Very interesting, thanks for sharing,
Glad you enjoyed it
I watch and rewatch your channel. FYI..just saw where Legos are going to cost more. Maybe the time to stock up for Christmas!!

I have decided I defiantly like canning it better then freezing it!
How do you thaw the granola?

Do you mean my dutch ovens? They are from Staub.

I have! But its been a while! So I may need to try it again!

Huh! I never thought of trying that!
You can also microwave it in the husk. 😅 yay for less dishes 😅

Its High Hide white from Valspar at Lowes! Super inexpensive and I normally go with semigloss.

I am not sure if there's something going on on my end, but the audio is strange, cutting in and out.

Wine!!! Your channel has been one of my favorites because you haven't used alcohol! I'm truly disappointed!!😢
Then don't use it. Your disappointed, get over it.

Such a judgmental comment to make. YOU should be ashamed.
Never forget that Jesus first miracle was turning water into wine at the wedding in Canna. 😊
I’m not trying to be critical, but I’m just questioning the judgment of wine in a household with an addict. That feels scary to me.
