Mary's Test Kitchen | Vegan Cooking Yeah it's good, But i mean the BBQ only adds the smokey note, a griddle pan works just as well for charred veg. Nom nom.
Try roasting aubergines whole and then take the skin off. Mash and mix into it lots of roasted garlic and either tahini or yogurt or even both ... it's to die for. Totally out of this world when BBQ'd as opposed to fried or even baked.
Thanks so much for doing this gents. When it comes to BBQs I usually stick with the veggie sausages / burgers but I got really hungry watching you cook the veg :D When I go to the coast next week I'll definitely be trying this!!! Love your videos. Don't stop.
4:37 Hey Mr. Cameraman/woman, we might want to see the food while he describes it, ahaha. :P BBQ veggies sounds pretty great! I think I'll try it out next time we have a BBQ! Cheers! :)
Considering we are experiencing a very cold winters here in Melbourne I have grilled veggies inside on the griddle pan. So good!! Thanks guys 😀😀😀👍🏻🍠🍆🍅🍋
i adore halloumi but i thought it had diary so i take it that is more for the vegetarians and not the vegans would i be right? halloumi is also amazing pan fried with a hot and sour dressing omg im hungry now and want some great vid guys keep them coming
We love to make onions on de BBQ! Just wrap it with aluminium and put it on the grill for about 20-30 minutes, have you ever tried it? Also, we use a cheese that is similar to halumi but it's called "queijo coalho" :)
Fotografando à Mesa We'll have to check out that cheese, if it is like halloumi we'll love it. Sometimes we but the onions into the hot coals with no foil on it, the same thing with peppers it's delicious.
We do this quite often when we have a bbq, grilled veg are so good. We put dried herbs on ours :). I'm also in Italy right now and have had bbq veg (that look like yours) as a side dish at a few restaurants. Hope to see it around more :D
looks good guys. The other day I threw some roughly chopped red onion and huge mushrooms on it. Was't bad either! Do you have an other option as cheese to throw on there beside Halloumi I couldn't find it here in Holland! Peace
Love your recipes guys but I have one question here. How is this any different from roasting the same veggies on a frying pan? Where are all the salt, pepper and masala?
OMGosh ... what do you mean by the cheese being "very similar to flesh"? Eeek. :D I adore BBQ veg. When my hubby makes a steak and veg on the BB for himself he makes sure there are tons of onions, peepers, tomatoes and courgettes for me too. I just get blissed out stupid on that stuff.
so just wondering, if you're vegetarian not vegan with the haloumi cheese? I thought you were vegan but quite a few of the recipes I've seen have dairy in them. cheers

Mary's Test Kitchen | Vegan Cooking You can buy a small one quite cheap and test it out and see if it's worth investing in. :D
The Happy Pear Thanks for the tip! I think that's the way I'll go :)
Awesome. Good luck. :D

Sweetcorn is delish lads. I love it on the BBQ. Maybe that's in part 2 or 3! Also veggie kebabs work pretty good.
Eggplant; zuchinni; green beans
Separated by common language indeed :) and then brought together again by tasty food!

I love grilled eggplant!! Especially when you dip it in to soy sauce with calamondin and some chilli! Yum!
J Daily It's so delicious. Vegetables are amazing how different they can become cooking them differently.
Top form.

andreamoboe Delicious. :D I wish we had public BBQ's down by the beaches in Ireland.
Thanks for this!! I struggle getting my veg grilled properly so this is quite useful!
Nicole Romero Glad to hear it. ENjoy your lovely grilled veg. :D
The Happy Pear Thanks! I certainly shall now!
i need to try haloumi!! Is the trick for making ooey gooey eggplant is slicing them very thin?

Tofu on the grill is amazing, especially if it is smoked first. Extra firm tofu.
Martini Chip Lovely. :D Nice and charred.
Cool
Great vid guys! Keep up the good work. I was wondering if the halloumi cheese in the video is vegan? Cheers!

This is a vegetarian bbq! 😄😋🙌
Have you ever tried Portobello mushrooms? They are awesome grilled. Just add some chimichurri on top
What kind of grill do you use? Tell us more about your grill please.

Is there an alternative to using oil?

Jess Noack Us too. :D not looking forward to the rainy winter, we'll be craving our bbq veg.
That's why our bbq is under cover ;). We change the veg we grill in winter, and it's different but still good.

***** It's the only cheese we really eat. It's hard to find something similar to it. :(
Yummy 👍😄💕
i'm building a barbeque so i can do that and so i can smoke stuff too. smoked tofu and then barbequed with the veggies is the bomb!
kokoro nagomu Sounds amazing. :D
what is that background score towards the end?

Tigerdeer Halloumi just has that fleshy bite to it.
What do you call Zucchini everytime? Corset? :O
courgette
"It's really quite similar to flesh"
Haha
Is that a vegan cheese ?
And bring the kids back ... we miss them! :)
Tigerdeer We're trying to do some really special videos with the kids soon. :D
The Happy Pear Yay. Sorry to say those are my most favourite ones :p

"Lots of people don't like peppers" what!?!? Who doesn't like pepper???
Happy Pear- can you guys do a video for a high protein vegan meal and snacks??
Will put it on the list Richie! 😘🙌😄
ditch the dairy!

Stacey B yes!
Can’t believe these 2 eat dairy 😳
"FLESSSHH !" Lol no
I think I just decided to be a vegetarian after watching this video...
I'll marry you 🙋🏽
Hahahahaha 😂😂
Haloumi? Are you guys no longer vegan?
Cooking on the grill isn't BBQ. Eat a steak.
