I can’t stand Lornashore. They don’t make me move at all it’s missing so much power and energy, infant annihilator should have gotten the credit that Lorna has gotten. Even cattle decap should be bigger than shore smh!!!!

Phil Bozeman and Mitch Lucker (rip) from Suicide Silence brought deathcore vocals to the forefront in the mid 2000s they weren't the first but they sure put deathcore on the map

Whitechapel are absolutely the final boss in Deathcore.

Cattle decapitation needs to be on your list of bands to do. Travis's vocals and nuts.

Spelunking is the correct terminology for cave exploration lol anyways here’s my perspective on the evolution of the deathcore genre (brief explanation) it became prevalent in the mid to late 2000’s during the “MySpace era” originally when discovering this music I usually heard the term “grind-core” eventually bands like Suicide Silence and Bring Me The Horizon gained popularity and the term “deathcore” was coined. Whitechappel were definitely a force in the early deathcore scene. Many other bands involved too. The genre has evolved. Like you said, we have the major bands like Lorna Shore and Slaughter to Prevail now, but it’s not really a competition for who’s the best. I believe healthy competition is good for artists to motivate or inspire but the individuality of each band and their evolution is more important.

I think Whitechapel melted your brain: This is the description "On this segment of Rappers React, Smokey and Hollywood took the request of a wonderful Patreon member Aaron Smuk and checked out "A Little Piece Of Heaven" by Avenged Sevenfold!!!" - also, Phil Bozeman is part of the harsh vocal research project run by The Charismatic Voice.

Yes yes yes yes...yous guys will loooooove FFAA!!! Their vocals are the "easiest" for me to understand in the whole scene which is why I dug into them so fast. Heads Will Hang, Hydra, Iron Moon, Thank You Budd Dwyer, The Conquerer, Flatlining... anything really, They are a roller coaster ride of a first listen!

Very interestingly, everyone gets the title wrong the same way. It's actually Hymns in Dissonance. But, I've seen this happen at least a dozen times. Also Phil and WC popularized deathcore in like '07. That's when I first started hearing it.

This is the only Deathcore band I like. I mostly just like death metal, but Whitechapel is never really lame to me like a lot of those bands are. And deathcore is like 20 years old. It was cemented as a genre by 2005 or so, when the first Job for a Cowboy, Suicide Silence, and Whitechapel had their first albums. I'm sure their is more, but I listened to it back then, but fell off.

The three “icons” of this genre to me are Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, and Job For A Cowboy. With Cattle Decapitation being a very high honorable mention. All of which are really who started the genre and kept doing it when it was not cool to much of industry. Check out the interview they did with Chris Garza from Suicide Silence. That’ll answer a lot questions you may have about them.

Two things, the description is wrong and the second one is that the intro speak and other parts is not latin or satanic, its just english backwards, still funny the cross at the beginning, like GET OUT DEMON.

Whitechapel is where Jack the Ripper came from, right? Also, if you want to do a video in a church, it would probably need to be a non sanctified church that's not in use.

Deathcore has been around since the mid to late 90's. It just didn't become what we know it as now until the early to mid 2000's which Whitechapel, Suicide Silence among others were a part of

Mitch lucker from suicide silence and Whitechapel definitely we're the ones that started deathcore as far as getting a popular as well. Other bands would be early bring me The Horizon from their first album and also Chelsea grin. Those are the top three bands. But deathcore as a genre has been around since the early 2000s.

OG Deathcore you need to check out is Despised Icon been around 2002. A Fractured Hand, In the Arms of Perdition, Purgatory are stand out tracks to me. The genre was gaining ground and momentum around then with Suicide Silence, Job For a Cowboy. There’s a band from 99 that gets mentioned forget their name.

Whitechapel is by no means any "Christian band" they actually get there name from the place were "jack the ripper" did most of his killings back in the day. Phil had said I'm countless interviews that this album is a direct sequel to THE IS EXILE. this song is about a cult leader and his followers trying to open a portal. Phil has said this album, it's a concept album, and Phil is a lover of hip hop and rap. You guys might want to do some research on just metal. And fyi deathcore has been around since the early 2000s with being me to Horizon, Suicide Silence in a handful of other bands

Perfectly unhinged, unanchored to anything groovier than a jackhammer. Nice (dis)harmonies, maybe a piccolo solo to cut through the sludge and murk. Something to consider, guys.
