      @@MYAutoimmuneMD The occasional unexplained shortness of breath and the allergic reaction to biologics (escalated recently to skin ulcerations) are not surprising but concern me. The long duration of the flares is also concerning me a lot. I haven't felt "good" or "alright" and haven't been able to resume my ordinary life ever since my flares started. Steroids make me feel bettet, but once stopped, I relapse which affects me physiologicallly and psychologically.

    I have rheumatoid arthritis and antisphospholipid antibody syndrome. I have tried several different medications. I’ve been on methotrexate for a long time, and I was on Enbrel for almost 14 years till it quit working. Since then I’ve tried several different medicines with no success. The pain is awful and very isolating. I have not given up but sometimes I would love to just crawl in the bed and just stay there. 😡

    Yes....i've known this for decades...i was diagnosed with it in my spine at age 13....they said it could attack my internal organs...and they said it's not a real Arthritis..& it's not. It's an Autoimmune deficiency, where the body's reaction to imbalance is to attack itself....i had Rheumatic Fever as a small child & I remember the family Dr said i would have Rheumatoid Arthritis when i grew up.....TODAY...Doctors argue that is false, but, it did happen..just as he said it would.

    I have been living with RA since 2015. There were many things in your video i was not aware of. Thank for helping us to be more informed about this disease so we can be sure to bring our concerns to our doctor's attention rather than brushing them off.

  • @bg5760
    @bg5760 3 месяца назад +2

    Autoimmune disease is poorly named…should be named immune dis regulation. It’s not just genetics, it’s generally caused by infection, or other environmental toxicity.
    Also RA can be effectively treated many ways including stem cells to modulate the immune system response.
    The challenge for you as a practitioner is that us patients have a quick fix mentality vs a healing one. Many diseases can be drastically improved but it takes time. Those are my challenges

    I was diagnosed with RA two years ago at 55. And the worst I also have thrombocytopenia (platelets below 50) which makes it impossible to have a good treatment. Feel my case is related to menopause and covid vaccine that messed up my immune system. Symptoms got worse daily and depresses. Used to be extremely healthy and energetic. 😂

    • @bg5760
      @bg5760 3 месяца назад

      Think positive? Go to a good naturopath or Dr. Yu/functional Dr and get all the testing…mold, heavy metals, Lyme, food sensitivity, etc and look into stem cells. Healing is possible…and think positively while taking those actions.
      Traditional md’s don’t get this training that dr’s like Dr. Yu have added .

      Me too. After several years of seeing different Rheumatologists with the same diagnosis I’m trying to accept it. My first diagnosis was Sjogrens in 2008. My new Rheumatologist #7 upon consult basically said after looking at my hands that he was sure I a didn’t have RA. After labs he said you have RA and MCTD. I said but I don’t have swelling in my hands and his comment was hold tight it’s coming. I now wonder after this video if it’s effecting organs as first dx was 2010 and still no swelling which is why I didn’t believe I had RA. I have lots of symptoms but is it RA. My neck is very crunchy and hurts as does my back. Aside from steroids and Plaqenil which I don’t like medication I’m trying to lower Inflammation without meds. I heard long term plaquenil causes cancer. Not sure that’s true.

    Thank you doctor for the informative videos especially this one. My RA started with shortness of breath which my doctor diagnosed as acute bronchitis. Afterwards my ankles started swelling and hurting then my elbows and wrists.... I was then diagnosed with RA and sjogren's syndrome. This was around 8 months ago. I'm still struggling despite taking medications, biologics and steroids, however, your videos helped me in understanding my disease and most importantly "accepting" it since I started my journey with the disease in denial. Thank you once again.

    Excellent information and advice.I was taken to hospital on the 10 May 2024 and put on a painkiller anti biotic drip and was told my blood analysis was unusual. I have the symptoms of this disease. My left knee was swelled up and locked and was very painful then my leg and foot swelled. Now June 15 2024 I am a lot better even though my ankle and foot are slightly swollen and ache and itch they are nothing like they were before. I went on a vegetable diet and its definitely working after reading an amazing book 'Forks Over Knives' At this stage I am about 80% cured and soon hopefully it will be 100% !!!!! I still get the tingling in my left foot and the aching that is not so bad as it was and I don't need pain killers for. A year back I had gout which I cured by natural medicine but none worked this time. After looking at this video I realised how serious this disease is. My next course is to follow this hospital plane I have been informed of which is another blood test. So here's hoping I will be free from this soon!!!!
