It isn't actually ^-^ it was actually pretty fun for me. Although there will be bully's and everything, but as long as you stick up for yourself, it'll be a great year for you haha ^-^

I am in 10th so I'm still new to the high school thing but I will tell you this:
1) hang with who YOU feel comfortable with
2) be yourself
3) never let a anyone take advantage of you
4) pay attention to what's going on
Lastly 5) don't listen to what others say.
Have a great high school year
Try and get good grades ! Everyone says this but it's really necessary because the rest of your high school life much easier .

I'm from th uk and in grade 7 we go to secondary school until we are 18 so I am going to be around 18 year olds and I'm 11,and advice to fit in? And also I'm in a all girls school
We go into year seven which is 5th grade. And you are not always with 18 year olds I'm not and I'm in year 7 and I'm 11
I am just going in to year 8 and I am so scared but with year 7 my advice is stick with friends but don't be afraid to mix, don't get to cocky if you get a good score in a test and as long as you pay attention in class you will have gr8 fun! ;)

Year 7 isn't that bad. I was freaking out when I was going to secondary but you have nothing to worry about. Year 7 is probably the most enjoyable year. Good luck.

Nooopppe :) ! I just finished the 8th grade and it was honestly my favourite year. The work was pretty easy just math can get a little tricky unless your good in it ! But besides that it's super fun and it will be a blast :) good luck

Be yourself, do your work and don't purposely piss off the teachers. Make good friends and enjoy the experience but don't let others push u into things you don't want to do. Just be yourself :)

Hey Andrea! I have a question. How do you use bobby pins? I see all these cute hairstyle you do (and I have lots of pins) and everytime I use then the hair comes out and then I get frustrated. I live in Germany, but I'd be in Highschool ;-) and I take my hair into my mouth, too... where else should we take this?!! but I'm so happy that schools in Germany allow us to colour our hair like you did it (by the way the hairs of a friend are pink-purple ;D), cause I like the idea! I know this is really late, but if you ever get paint in ur hair again or on ur skin, you can use baby oil and massage it in for about 30 seconds to a minute, it should come right out. :) But the time also depends on how much paint needs to be cleaned off.

Jimpixx Great advice above! Girls LOVE to gossip about other girls, most of it is lies and/or anger and/or jealousy, but some of it is because girls don't know how to be nice at this age! It is so much better to be known as the nice girl, don't give them any ammo to trash talk you, always be nice no matter how you feel about someone (or at least avoid them politely).
Keep some friends close and don't hold grudges, you will all grow up so quickly in the next 5 years of your life. Try not to embarrass yourself or others by causing a public scene and keep the mood positive and welcoming to all.
At the end of the day try to be easy on yourself and your friends, everyone is still learning how to interact with each other and no one has the answers. Try to laugh at jokes, not at people and youll be seen as a stronger and smarter person in the long run.
i was super scared of grade 7, but i with 4 friends and i now have 15 friends including the 4 so dont be scared

I'm from Trinidad. That's somewhere in the lesser antilies in the Caribbean and we have "forms" not grades. So here is preschool which is ages (2-5) then primary school which is (5-11) then high school or college which is (11-17) and then finally University which is 4 years long.
