      Yes they do blame you and then make you go through all transactions and mark the one s not authorized by you making

I m gonna quit direct express & put my money in a bank bc it's BS what they're doing They got some schemes going on.

      They absolutely do. I am about to close my direct express account and just use my regular bank account because they’re customer service couldn’t get any worse. It’s -4 stars and that’s being generous. This company needs to be shut down immediately. The fact that they have the audacity to sit there and then mark purchases or transactions that a customer makes as fraudulent when they weren’t fraudulent to begin with didn’t make the customers submit ID, which could take upwards of over 48 hoursto access their funds is absolutely outrageous and this is a practice and policy that seems normal to them. Pathetic and disgusting.

      What you explain here describes a very poorly run company . One that absolutely has no business having access to people's funds and is being tasked with running that system properly and efficiently. The host is right. DE never answers the phone in a timely manner,, and when they do they are no help at all much. They've even hung up on me mid conversation. I had this problem a little over a year ago and neither I. or anybody else I got to try to help. could get through to them whatsoever. Morning, noon, or night they wouldn't answer. It took me over two weeks into that month ( May 2023 ) before I got access to my money. And this has got to be the fifth time over the course of just two years, that this has happened. So I feel it's fair to say your system of customer service is broken and smashed beyond repair. . But as of right now it's your company, and not money belonging to the more vulnerable, that needs to have a hold put in it !!

    Customer Service is beyond worthless, and very rude. They told my gf that her being unable to access her money is because Mastercard is showing fraud, but there's nothing they can do about it. I'm in the process of switching her over to Walmart card. I receive my SSA through them and have NEVER had issues.

    I agree bro. I've been unable to access my money for days for no apparent reason. Put on hold for nearly 1 hour at a time. Still waiting for replacement card. Had no idea so many people had this problem very frustrating. Thanks for video.

    They screwed me good...no problems til July 1st then I couldn't make any online payments or purchases...I called them and was told that couldn't fix the problem...I changed to Chime...direct express sucks they treasury dept needs to investigate

      Strangely ever since I've been to California.I've had about 4 fraudulent situations within 6 months.And it's usually the worker behind the counter like a target or the grocery store

They think we're all dumb w/ our money bc we're on SSI, the direct express workers knows everything about ur info.:My proof is I never ordered stuff online w,/ this card & I dont use my card in stores I take it out on ATM before shopping , I use cash. That's how I found out who else would of done it are the direct express workers let me make that clear.

    I had to get a newcard. New card works so far but I'm nervous about next month. I was late on all bills. No explanation was given as to why old card suddenly stopped working and none of the reasons in this vid applied to my situation. The card just stopped working even though customer service said there was nothing wrong

    It's just happened to me was supposed to be on there Friday the customer service number isn't answering I can't pay my rent now. I contacted social security and they said it's supposed to be there

    Me and my mom who is my payee both recive ours money on same card have since my dad died last year. They sent mine on the 3rd but not hers. We went to social security office 3 times they finelly said it was on direct express that it was sent along with mine we called customer service on back of card they sent us a code and wanted us to email it back to them along with my moms full name and id we did what they said and waited a day and then called back when we called they said moms id verification had been denied and they was locked out of seeing our accounts and that we needed to go back to social security office again i dont know what to do our bills are past due and my check alone won't pay them and seems we cant get any help or answer s of why it didn't come and why we cant get it back its very frustrating and stressful on me and my mom

    I never have trouble with someone answering I have a problemwith them not getting the paper work to unlock my card . Ive sent it 4 times in the last 2 months now I started thing who the hell is getting my documents. They told me it was better to go in the office so I called CoAmerica bank and was told that they dont have nothing to do with the accounts and can't do anything about the card being locked or giving ordering me a new card . So what niw Im getting all my things shut off and about to get evicted.

    Hello my name is Darnell Hannett I just recently try to order door with my direct Express card and it didn't work so I transferred the funds over to my PayPal they let me transfer the money and when I needed a little bit more money to be transferred because I also was trying to pay bills you told me that I couldn't and then I and if I told me that due to too many failed links I'm unable to access the card at that time I called a 24/7 customer service number and got hung up on due to too many people calling it is 5:00 in the morning where I'm at and I have bills to pay rent to pay and I have to pay for my son's birthday party stuff the car will not let me purchase anything offline won't even let me pay my bills online the only thing that I haven't tried yet was to use an ATM this is like the second time that this has happened to me and a video you could make sense the only thing that I didn't have to do was talk to customer service cuz they activated my card

    It took me 12 hours to get through when I finally did she said she couldn't resolve it so I had to go to the social security office which I did the next morning they told me that they resolve the problem and the card would work went to the ATM it does not work I don't have my phone because I can't pay my phone bill to get my so I can't call them I had to borrow a phone from somebody and I don't know anybody the problem is the issue was supposed to have been taking care of but the card doesn't work

    I went 6 months locked out they wanted I'd after 6 years of using the card it took 13 weeks to get a new passport then they denied it I then filed a complaint and was finally allowed to access my funds this is ongoing as I had to open a new account with ss and iam waiting for my new card here overseas in philpines should be settled by Oct 2023 its a real headache

    The number one problem I have is that I can't pay my bills with the card. I works periodically at grocery stores and the like but if I go to a different grocery store near my house and spend a few dollars, locked out. Only one free ATM withdrawal is allowed a month. To pay my gas bill I have to pay 2 ATM fees, one to the ATM, one to Direct Express then I have to take the cash and pay to buy a money order or cashiers checks. Direct Express does not provide a monthly statement unless you can somehow get them on the phone and agree to pay $1.75 a month. This is a problem if you need to prove your income to apply for Energy benefits, food stamps etc. Oh and the nearest ATM that does not charge extra is in the next state.

      I foyu have a Simmons bak use that one. All withdrawals from there are free. Also at many stores like wal mart you can choose cash back and that is also free

    I have been calling direct express because I can't use my card and they want me to send then a picture of my ID and they won't tell me how to send it to them. So in the mean time I can't use my card. What can I do ?

      Unfortunately, without your card, there's nothing you can do. You have to get a replacement card.

    I had to get a new card because the bank that the card comes from issued new numbers but they didn't tell us or send new cards it took me 3 days to get in contact with direct express

      Same here we'll mine I can make online purchase but getting money from the ATM it keeps saying I need to contact my bank ect I can go like into dollar general and swip the card on there michean but can't withdraw from atm

      Your experience is not unusual. Unfortunately, it's really hard to get a hold of Direct Express customer Service. You just have to keep trying.

    How come someone cannot put a money into your direct express card why is it only direct express say if my mom wanted to send me money and she want to put it in direct Express how come they won't allow that if I'm trying to get a loan how come I can't get a loan sent to my direct express card

      You cannot add money to a direct Express card because they are only designed to accept government benefit payments that you've been approved for..

    Sorry but gotta share ...a car cut infront of causing an accident. Wasn't my fault by law everyone has to have car insurance so they had to pay me...totalling out my car...SSI stopped my benifits because a car wrecked into me ...They said it was earned income😂😂😅 omg

      You're just one of the super lucky ones who weren't affected by it. It's happened to me several times. What causes my anger is when after that I can't get in touch with anybody at DE. Online doesn't work any better , which is basically your only other recourse to take. This happens too often to believe it's just a chink in the system to straighten out. Seems closer to me to have more to do with actual company policy or agenda behind the cause of these " hiccups " DE keeps having.!!

    These issues are not common problems. The card works fine if you don't try to do something illegal.

    I don't believe most of these comments. I had that card for several years and never had one problem. I also figured out how to get customer service on the phone....some people do shady things with their card and it gets shut down.

      I have mixed feelings, I worked for Social Security and ppl complained a lot about them. It’s crooks in every company. I was in the military and the financial soldiers created a whole soldier and got paid 2x for years until he go caught. That was in the 90s🤦🏾‍♀️

      Bologna, mam. DE isn't safe. And I can assure you I have zero interest in getting you to sign up for a different card. Getting people away from banks and cards is a business I'd be interested in being a part of if anything.

    I can't get my money from direct Express for January because I gave them the wrong email what verification of who I am I since then have disqualified myself from them and cash my March and April check it quick check cashing and they run fingerprints and my fingerprints guess what I am who I say I am is that not reason enough for me to get my January and February
