These are my clutter stoppers (once you’ve done the main declutter, and along the way): If you bring it into the room, take it out of the room. If you drop it, pick it up. If it’s empty, throw it out. If you make a mess, clean it up. If it’s a dirty item, put it in the sink or the hamper. When you’re done with something… If it’s a blanket, fold it up. If it’s a glass or a dish, put it in the sink. If it’s a game, put it away. It’s so much easier to keep the house tidy (not to mention easier to clean) if you take care of the little things when they pop up.
I have 3 key maintenance habits. Daily - the mail is sorted immediately upon entry into house into trash or bill box. Weekly - Day before trash day, after all cans are emptied but if the main roadside can isn’t full. I grab a black trash bag and go searching thru cabinets, drawers, closets, garage, cut down extra boxes, kids help too with etc. Monthly- our 2 growing donation boxes (laundry room & garage) are loaded up into the back of car before our grocery trip run & our 1st stop is the Hospice Thrift. This is our regular maintenance and I’m always surprised how a extra trash bag can be filled whenever space is available in trash can or how we’ve never had an empty donation box on our monthly grocery run. What can go? What can go? 😊
Do you have a capsule wardrobe? Would love to see your closet or clothes tour sometime. I like the look you have today! Maintenance has been the most important step since decluttering the areas that are finished in my home. Excellent tips!
Love the minute to win it. If you have a watch with a timer, set it for one minute. I have a Fitbit and using the timer on that device has been really helpful since it forces you to focus and it’s so handy being right there on your wrist.
Scheduling. Yes to scheduling. I don't always get to it but the fact that it's on my calendar means the chances of actually getting to it are 75% more because now it's not just cluttering up my home it's cluttering up my calendar. I don't want to spend my time decluttering so the faster I get this done means I can replace that appointment with something better next time.
I like the idea of getting rid of things by the date. Good challenge. Going to try that. Tomorrow is the 1st day of the month. Love and do several of your other ideas too.😊
I found I lay things down on places where I am about to use it soon or want to find a place to put it(but not yet know where to store it first. Afraid I forgot to follow up if I put it away……. Hope to remind myself to do small tasks.
I have a friend that fits into all of my clothes. Oh and shoes 👠 also. One more thing. I live across the street from a Goodwill donation center 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Apostrophes are running rampant these days, especially at the grocery store. 3 Apple’s for $1? Unfortunately autocorrect can be a bane to correct grammar and spelling.

@@kiahmadison8541 I’m not being mean or patronizing. I’m just pointing out a fact. I would never correct someone’s grammar while speaking with them. I’ve seen HIPPA on the door of a cubicle in an emergency room. I’d rather have someone point out my error than let it slide.

A swap party! What a cool idea! :)
You tuber Diane in Denmark does swap parties. She focuses on minimalism and fly lady content.
I belong to a Buy Nothing group. We post stuff on-line and then pick it up if we're chosen. It's great!
That's awesome!

Hi! Yes, I have two videos talking about clothes on my channel! 😊
I’m going to search for them! 🤍
Love love love this video…you’re amazing! Thank you for sharing such pearls of wisdom. ☺️
You are so welcome!
My coworkers and I talked about doing a "swap party" type thing after work by bringing boxes of unwanted items for others to look through :)
Love it!

We all should have a Christmas decoration swap party so we can enjoy different decorations instead of buying and collecting more Christmas decorations
Great idea!
I keep a permanent donation bin on the front porch! Side note: I love your earrings! Would you mind sharing them?
That's a great place for it! Also, I can't recall where I got the earrings from 🤪
In my city, it takes a few weeks to get a pick up because there is so much demand. I make this call first, and get to decluttering after.
Wow!
I have a friend that fits into all of my clothes. Oh and shoes 👠 also. One more thing. I live across the street from a Goodwill donation center 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
#winning 🙌😜
My problem with decluttering bin is my children tak the items out and put the items throughout the house.
Definitely a challenge 😜
But what if I want eevvveerryyytthhhiinnngggg loollln

Correct the misspelling in the title
I was vacillating on mentioning it. Glad you did. It's a common error but is important ( esp in the title)
Love this girl❤
Really?
🤪” Then you would hat thus commont. “

There’s a way to be tactful.

‘Its’ - your title say stops clutter in ‘it is’ tracks.
😱
❤❤❤Katy is a hottie 😮
