I respect the silliness of this, followed by some genuine mastery of the form when you put it together. Sometimes the best way the to take the piss out of something is to come from a place of genuine love for the genre.
Check out Melt Banana from Japan. I saw them twice at 7th Street Entry in Mpls. Husker Du got their start there. It’s a club in 1st Avenue where Prince filmed Purple Rain. M. B. Are amazing.
@@davidbourgoin523 They did form before, but their first noise record, the one attributed to inventing noise rock, came after Les Rallizes Denudes' debut.
Hey, how do you get your vocals to sound like that? I use bandlab and I've been messing around with it for about an hour and I still can't figure it out. Could you please tell me the preset settings you used?
I use GarageBand. To achieve that type of vocals, you need some distortion and, if you want, some overdrive. I don’t remember the exact settings but I think the gain is on max and the “tone” (I believe) is at, like, 75-90%? I hope I helped! If there are any questions, feel free to ask!
I think I prefer post-rock, which is kind of a branch off from noise rock. Need moody ambience and trippy sounds as opposed to just loudness and aggression.
@@ShitNoiseOfficial Well it’s just that whole no wave scene. They are definitely a bit noise with solos but overall I don’t think of them as a noise band. Younger me “Thurston is soooo cool”, older me “Lee made all this possible, he’s the chosen one”. My Bloody Valentine I felt wielded noise in to beautiful melodies. Anyways! Love Sonic Youth.
A speech from the 1940s??? If you mean the lyrics, no. It’s a modified version of the classic nursery rhyme “Ring Around The Rosie”, as mentioned in the video.
I thought the song sounded good. 🤷 I mean, rock & roll is supposed to be rebellious, anti-society and grandmaw-offending, last time I checked. I have that Data Corrupter..imo it would be more usable if it had a "wet/dry" facility. I've never got it to sound 2% as good as the LubedTube demos make it seem. Good post.
When it comes to noise rock, I was thinking more so earlier Oxbow. Does noise rock have to be fast-paced? Because Oxbow is very slow compared to the bands in the video.
Good remark. Noise Rock can be both slow and fast. I was concentrating more on the "Noise Punk" side of noise rock in this tutorial. Stuff like Metz or Midori.
@@ShitNoiseOfficial do you want an actual example of “noise” rock? Go to a My Bloody Valentine show and attend the final 15 minute segue way for Make me Realize. Its a jet engine in your face. No music, just pure unadulterated noise (about 180 decibals give or take nightly) blasting your eardrums. I would actiully put a couple songs from the Cherubs in that category. But just because music is loud and dissonant doesn’t make it noise.
@@thesean3194 I mean this whole tutorial is partially satirical so what do you expect lol. Of course dissonance and loudness aren’t the only thing in noise rock. The tutorial is “shit” for a reason haha
Wow, this sounds like noise. That means you did a great job! Keep up the good work \m/
Omg! Thank you so much man! I got inspired by you a lot for this tutorial :)
Would love to see a similar tutorial on your channel!
Oh shit
damn you are everywhere

Thank you for the kind words mate. We really appreciate it!
We need more Noise rock bands 💀🔥
I love all the bands you referred to in this video but omg you fucking smashed it. So hilarious!
Thanks man! I appreciate it :)
Midori is fucking underrated
i fucking love midori
I love Midori too!
I love this kind of music too... im experementing circuit bending my pedals to create weird sound ...
FUCK YEAH! I love experimenting with pedals! I play guitar in the band and I sing and I use pedals in a weird way constantly

Yeah we are hahah, we have some upcoming material soon ;)

Melt-Banana are amazing! Love the new album. They were one of our earliest inspirations for noise rock!
Genuinely a good tutorial
Thank you!!
MIDORI MENTIONED :D
Fucking love that band

Lol it could! Check out the full track tomorrow! You’ll like the music video :)
Les Rallizes Denudes are the pioneers of Noise Rock. Also, great video.
Ooooo never heard of that band! Thanks!
@@ShitNoiseOfficial Yes they're fucking great. They basically started noise rock before The Velvet Underground did. Back in 67'.
@@tarunchandrasekaran7701 damn, never knew that! But I guess The Velvet Underground popularized the genre

Gilla Band - good call
They are the best band in the world!! Saw them play in Lyon, met Dara, nicest guy ever!
Noise grind 💀🔥

Don't forget very early Deerhoof.
I should check them out more… never listened to them properly

Can you do a tutorial for music like Deftones if you haven't already?
Thanks mate!!
Oof how can that style be classified as? I don't even know where to start... 😅
My favorites have always been Zeni Geva, Unsane, and Godheadsilo.

Where did you get the mic from? well 'mic'. I don't know what it was
