Just so you know Shmee, if you go past the first click on the fuel pump, you start to fill up your filler neck rather than your tank, and you have fuel sitting where it's not supposed to be. (this has actually caused some of them high value car fires you hear about spontaneously combusting on drives before).
That's quite good for the performance that you get out of the car and it's awesome the total spec of that car. I would love to see how they would detail that car after a trip that you've had. Glad you've had a good n safe trip.
Tim, I’ve had a couple odd faults with my SF90 spider. One that occurred only once while rolling down the drivers side window. The other is related to Bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone and is entirely random. Anyway, it’s been great to watch your journey. I agree that this car is incredibly comfortable to drive. In fact, it’s my favorite to drive among the Ferrari’s I own, including my F8 and Portofino M. Cheers!
I’ve also had a couple of weird ones with my SF90 spider. The fuel filler cap keeps opening on its own. Usually about ten minutes after I’ve dropped the roof
Best looking Ferrari in years. I always hated the stretched out front lights that cars like the 458, Lusso and such. The only car is looked good on was the F12, though the F12s are a lot less stretched and closer to the look of the 599 which I love.
@@bg22757 Im afraid I have to disagree with you on that one! What is it you dislike about it? The diffuser is the only questionable thing about it in my opinion, its height makes the back of the car look a little disproportional, but seeing a black one changed how I saw it - I realised that it was intended to look resemble the aero of an F1 car. You should have a look at the Mansory version, it's insane.
Deep Pearl Blue is my 2022 Nissan Maxima Platinum, 300 horsepower very light very quick, the front looks like the SF90, Love it can’t stop driving it! Miles of Smiles, I’ve had it a year and it has fifteen thousand miles on it already.
I'll say, being an 80's kid watching my favorite movie "Better off dead" seeing an unconventional yet beautiful car run up the snow and slopes makes me super happy. I'm having a hard time finding a roof rack for my 2016 mini clubman without rails. I'm DYING to get a roof set up because I absolutely love the look of it. Growing up in Mammoth Mountain I always love seeing unconventional cars with roof rails.
Beautifully done sir. Quite awesome to see these machines getting some touring done. Amazing stop at the old raceway. What a nod. Thank you Shmee150!!!
Hey shmee i love your videos, your voice is so pleasant to hear, so calming and your explanation on automobiles are so detail. I just hope u would upload more as i have finished binge watching literally all of your videos 😅
Hey Tim This video just made my day so much better, especially after the day I've had, I got into a car accident today, got T-boned by a reckless driver who was speeding, my car is a complete write off, I'm currently in hospital with a broken ankle, I was eagerly sitting and looking forward to your video, just wanted to say thank you so much for always keeping me entertained, especially through hard times, with your amazing content
Shmee150 Great Video I'm glad you made it home safely and that your SF90 Stradale made it through the Entire Winter Eurotour without any problems and I can't wait to what your plans are for your Zenvo TSR-S
It's fundamentally aerodynamic & tuned for Euro6 compliance at lo rpm. Good to hear some info on the general fuel efficiency & general environmental responsibility of the fleet
Another great video, FYI, truck drivers on the eurotunnel don't stay in their cabs on the train, once parked in the train they get a shuttle bus to a passenger carriage at the front for the duration of the journey.
Regarding the fuel efficiency: Ferrari has done a lot of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel engineering to make the SF90 very aerodynamic with a low drag coefficient. The hybrid power unit has also had a significant role in fuel efficiency. Yes, the unit is capable of 1000 hp, but you drove it in the most fuel saving way. Partially because of government regulations modern cars need to have set fuel economy. You drove the car in this exact perfect speed range. Obviously driving in electric mode helped significantly. Something else to consider: A powerful engine pushing a car though the air at a relaxed pace is more efficient than a small engine struggling at high rpm to do the same job. 😊
For the manufacturer I work for, the delay on fuel release, is to allow venting. Presumably to get rid of the 'whoosh' of fuel vapour from the pressurised tank.
We were in Morocco last week and saw a Ferrari California T and an Aventador. I think you could make a trip there work. Lots of French and Spanish licensed cars there. We only saw one Tesla so I don’t think an electric car might be happy there. We’re in Tunisia now which honestly might be a great spot as well for a Schmee-adventure. Big open roads with lots to see
it has cylinder deactivation, so its essentially a 4 cyinder on motorways and when you're crusing at below 2-3k rpm prob, like the hurrican does, it turns off half the engine,. plus the electric power part has contributed. so it makes sence
Am I the only one that notices Tim’s sweater is getting shorter and shorter in this trip! 🤔😂✌️ good euro trip, more city driving please with your awesome cars
I'm over here in the US and I've got a 2008 Ford Taurus X station wagon as a daily and a 1992 Nissan March as a weekend car. I find it interesting that the Ferrari falls right in between the two with fuel economy. I see about 27 - 30 mpg in the March and 19 - 23 mpg from the Taurus. 65k miles on the March and 247k on the Taurus.
I did 10k km in my sf90 in one year. i have been to nurburgring (same day as you) I have made a small euro trip from monaco to lugano to stelvio to munich to Warsaw back home all together with my wife 9 days of fantastic trip. no failures there but some time later i had hybrid drivetrain failure and my entire electric engines pumps etc was replaced under warranty. car had other small issues but most of them i was able to fix by restarting 12v battery. totally agree: no garage Queen. fantastic car to drive, to own and to have.

Been following your channel for the past decade mate. With all respect mate, excercise, hit the gym. You should look into buying a home set up. Loom up the REP Ares, it's a multifuncional and you can start strength training. All the best Shmee!!
Very few big marks on the PPF Top box restricting the topspeeds you can drive, which probably means softer acceleration That might be the reason for such impressive mpg... Same road trip with no top box and you'd lose at least 5mpg (as you'd have a heavier right foot)
I have a C8 Corvette with a 6.2L V8. I got 4.2L/100km from Kamloops, British Columbia to Hope, British Columbia (206km). Yes you read that right, 56MPG. How? It's 1000ft downhill from Kamloops to Hope, but still, amazing! It's locked in the car's trip computer, so I can prove it to people. Lol!
Not really important but regarding trucks and the euro tunnel. We actually don’t stay in our cabs, we ate picked up by minibus and taken up the front of the train where there is seats abs vending machines. From stopping on the train and starting your engine to get off the other side we only just get our 45 minute break to clear our driving time.
That would need a towbar, that would be virtually impossible on most cars like this, they need to be mounted on structure thats very strong, it would also need body work alterations and the electrics would need fitting. For most road cars which have them, they have specially designed products, they wont have for supercars..
I'm confused...how is mpg there different from the US? Is it just because of the difference in liters/gallons or is there a difference is the measurement of a mile?
I'm still surprised that some skis and poles and boots didn't get packed into that roof box. I certainly looked like they could have fit, though perhaps the jackets and other outer-wear required might have made it too tight.
All modern cars should be driven straight away from start up but low revs, the reason is because there’s more wear on the engine internals when cold and the quicker you get them up to normal operating temperatures the better,by using only low revs will make sure the pistons and cylinder walls heat up at around the same temp/ time
Tim..... Your presence in totally needed at he International Amsterdam Motor Show this coming April ( pref april the 9 th LOL ) My son ( with Autism..all so named Tim) would LOVE to meet YOU!!!
That roof box must have hit economy a fair bit. On trips to the Alps I get 30mpg from my McLaren. Much less on the mountain roads, countered by 33mpg cruising at 130kph for hundreds of km.
Found your spot Tim. Took a while have to say. Won't say exactly how, but shall we say a really short stretch nearby that's almost only 'over the top'. If I was you mate, I'd check pre-upload for location gimmies and scrub them out discreetly and just not record there, just be a bit more mindful of it mate if your worried (I see a label arrived then disappeared on Google Maps). Maybe ask the lads to lift the gravel off the entrance by the main road, save picking any of that up on the way in with warm tyres ;).
My golf 6R gets over 12 liters per 100 km and can barely do over 400km on 50 liters so whenever I get it to 11 I start to think if something is wrong with it haha. So yeah, seeing a 1000hp Ferrari do 12s makes me kinda sad, knowing that my 270hp s box costs me more to run
I saw you at st moritz at the ice event you were filming the new maserati granturismo i wanted to say you hi but since you were working i didnt want to disturb you 🤗
Tim, could you consider a video with all your cars "full send" on a race track or something? We haven't seen the SF 90 or any other, giving the full juice out of it
do you even know what it cost to put a car on the track, if you want to be able to sell it again.. tires oil change and so on, if its a car you want to keep.. (the tires you use on your vw polo does not match) and giving a expensive car the full juice is not something a investor would do, to much risk.. a investor will drive it to norway with a roofbox on it 🥸
Good evening Shmee 150 absolutely loving your videos. Keep up the fantastic work very interesting on the C63S AMG really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your videos.
Did you miss the fact that it's UK MPG? 23 translates to 19 US MPG, and that it's a hybrid? I can think of A LOT of cars that get quite a bit better, including my big boxy SUV, a BMW X3 M40i. The 3.0T sedans do way better too, such as the Acura TLX Type S, Audi S4, BMW M340i, Toyota Supra, the Mercedes C43 AMG, E450, etc. And if you go into hybrids with a 3.0T I can't think of many but the BMW X5 45e gets about 30 US MPG (36 UK MPG) combined, and that thing weighs 5000lbs. The roof box probably doesn't help, and he did drive it pretty hard many times I guess, but still, eh. It's good compared to other supercars, but compared to normal cars, including SUVs and even with a 3.0T, no it's not great...
Sorry Shmee, international truck driver here...we don't stay in our cabs. Once stationary on the train we get out of the cab, a bus then collects us drivers and transports us to a carriage at the front of the train. Once journey is over then its all done in reverse, dropped off at our trucks one at a time.
@Philip Hudgens no worries Phil, it's a tight fit getting on those frame carriages....only a couple of inches either side 😳 On the carriage where we did are a bank of screens, just before journeys end all of our lorry registrations are displayed...Next to green or red blocks....to customs or not to customs...lol I'm back on there on Monday, quick run to Barcelona, should be home Saturday 🤣
You also get more weight with the batteries, which must have a knock-on effect on the handling. I'm sure it's an amazing handling car because it's a Ferrari, but would a lighter non hybrid one be even better?? Perhaps we'll never know
@James R Sort of buy I'm really getting at something with that power 1000 but without the batteries. Also, when they're flat, they're just weight making the car slower. I'm sure they're great for 5 minutes in performance until they're flat.
Just so you know Shmee, if you go past the first click on the fuel pump, you start to fill up your filler neck rather than your tank, and you have fuel sitting where it's not supposed to be. Having to fill up the car at every petrol station is annoying even if you are rich, so using less fuel is always great. That mpg was really good.
Especially if you are rich as time is money. This is why luxury cars would benefit the most from hybrids or electrification

I'm confused...how is mpg there different from the US? Is it just because of the difference in liters/gallons or is there a difference is the measurement of a mile?

Remember back in the day, when clarkson chased a prius in an M3 and the M3 used less fuel. It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it
Doesnt it hurt the engine cold starting it on the move and getting revs straight away without warming up?
You'd think so, I try to avoid it normally, but I presume that if this is the standard behaviour in normal mode, that it must be fine
All modern cars should be driven straight away from start up but low revs, the reason is because there’s more wear on the engine internals when cold and the quicker you get them up to normal operating temperatures the better,by using only low revs will make sure the pistons and cylinder walls heat up at around the same temp/ time

and giving a expensive car the full juice is not something a investor would do, to much risk..
a investor will drive it to norway with a roofbox on it 🥸
Tim, that box would looks sweet on top of my blue HHR.
They're lorries, Tim, you're English.
Haha, did you know 3x as many people watch these videos from USA than the UK?
@@Shmee150 Irrelevant. The English language is something you should be proud of, not something you sell for RUclips.
@@Shmee150 Then educate them to use English correctly 🙂
your clio 1.2 is a garage queen, you never go on a road trip in clio. 😁😁
Great journey, I enjoyed it!
Petrol kiosk indeed the door is low, but you also had lot of room on the left side as well 😂
Would love to see the Zenvo go round the Nordschleife
Good evening Shmee 150 absolutely loving your videos. Keep up the fantastic work very interesting on the C63S AMG really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your videos.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support
That MPG is crazy. Basically +/- any modern 3.0l petrol engine with 330-400 hp has the same or worse.
My F-Type P450 AWD gets about that.
Sorry Shmee, international truck driver here...we don't stay in our cabs. Once stationary on the train we get out of the cab, a bus then collects us drivers and transports us to a carriage at the front of the train.
Once journey is over then its all done in reverse, dropped off at our trucks one at a time.
Thanks Carl, I always wondered about the wagons. 👍
@Philip Hudgens no worries Phil, it's a tight fit getting on those frame carriages....only a couple of inches either side 😳
On the carriage where we did are a bank of screens, just before journeys end all of our lorry registrations are displayed...Next to green or red blocks....to customs or not to customs...lol
I'm back on there on Monday, quick run to Barcelona, should be home Saturday 🤣
Wow that looks so cool ❤ i need one of Those
Man i envy you, beeing able to have all those cars at just 35. God damn
You also get more weight with the batteries, which must have a knock-on effect on the handling. I'm sure it's an amazing handling car because it's a Ferrari, but would a lighter non hybrid one be even better?? Perhaps we'll never know
That would have to be the equivalent of the F8?
@James R Sort of buy I'm really getting at something with that power 1000 but without the batteries. Also, when they're flat, they're just weight making the car slower. I'm sure they're great for 5 minutes in performance until they're flat.
A lighter non hybrid version of this car already exists, it’s the F8 and it’s an amazing car.
Hey Tim, when's the next project car coming?
Gonna need that ski box for Gumball Europe!!!!
The door sensor probably went a bit haywire due to the cold weather.
Beautiful spec shmee. Love it
Thank you very much
Why don't you get a set of Black Floor Mats for winter? Or some of those clear rubber matts?
Your’re more than welcome in 🇲🇦❤
