Saw a German goalie documentation that revealed: The idol of Schumacher was Sepp Maier, the idol of Olli Kahn was Schumacher, and the idol of Neuer was Kahn. Each of these keepers dominated a decade of their profression in Germany, where usually a bunch of 3 to 5 of great goal keepers are usually quite to these top goalies (Maier - Junghans, Schumacher - Uli Stein; Kahn - Lehmann, Neuer - ter Stegen) But only one can be on top....
Kahn was not the number one choice for germany till after 1998 world cup and he had to wait until kopke retired to become first choice. So he was not as dominant as the others....
