In school they say if you type at the right side of they keyboard u have to use the left thumn and vice versa. But i find it better to just dedicate to one thumb like my left
Ik this is late but you can get the same keyboard I believe on amazon for 45.99 and get mouse mouse pad and headphones plus the keyboard which is kinda insane
I've had my Azio L70 for almost 2 years now, and I have to say it's absolutely worth the price. The wrist rest is a HUGE bonus, and I have to agree that the key strokes are exceptional, keeping in mind that they are membranes. I have seen some paint wear on my WASD, but that's a small price to pay. The volume knob comes in handy quite often as well. It's a good option for those looking for a cheap backlit.

Marko Rajić compared to a 8-12 cylinder petrol engine, still not smooth at all. I'm talking more about acceleration, sound, and consistency, not just "shaking". Once you've driven a luxury car with a buttery smooth engine, you'll quickly realize why all cars designed for pure luxury use petrol. I know some Jags use diesel, and it's a crime. I'm talking about Bentley, Rolls Royce, Maybach, etc. If luxury and smoothness is your goal, you buy Petrol, it's as simple as that.
Does it have good keycaps? Is the lighting fully customizeable/have variation? Can it macro? Does it have function keys? Does is have a comfortable typing and gaming experience? Is it too bulky? Does it bend to easily? Does it have an aluminum or similar metal construct? Will it live if I knock my bottle of Coke on it? These and some other reasons perhaps, dunno.
@minecraftace123 None of what you mentioned cost extra money though. Corsair K65 LUX is an example of keyboard that is identical to some of these 20$ keyboards, minus the aluminum which doesn't cost that much. The customizing software sure as hell ain't worth the extra 150$.
You don't have to spend 200 dollars or even 60 to 150 dollars to get a mechanical keyboard experience. Spend 10 dollars more and you can find yourself a slew of Chinese mechanical keyboards that are infinitely better than many 25 dollar keyboards. The Redragon K552, for example.
Exibels line of keyboards and mice are also decent. I started out with those. 20-35 € for a keyoboard and mouse is ok (each). And the quality never gave up on me. I even gave them away to a mate after switching to full on logitech and hes happy with the peripherals.
For a cheap keyboard for $30, I could recommend the Asus Cerberus. It's backlights are a little limited, but it has an amazing feel when typing. It's rebound speed is excellent and its keys have a mushy but clicky enough feel to it, Perfect for shoulder peeking when playing CS:GO. Sure, it's not mechanical, but it may be better than some keyboards that are more expensive than it. I believe it is the best for FPS gaming for you can get an advantage in movement and strafing. It seems better than more expensive keyboards, like the Razer Blackwidow, which I own, I use the Cerberus over it since it has a better feel to it. If you're looking for a cheap gaming keyboard, I surely recommend it. As a matter of fact, I am using one to type this statement.
what about the Redragon Karura K502?? -It always hovers around 23-27$ (Check) -It has 7 deferent backlight colors (Check) -It has an intergrated wrist rest (Check) -Its keys are membrane and feel really nice for the price range (Check) -It has ruber feet that are also raiseable (Check) It's a really nice keyboard and I plan on using it for my first build!
"Redragon Harpe K503" vs "Redragon Harpe K503 Black" I have the first one. I do not have a "lightbulb" button. My ""Win" and "FN" keys are swapped around. Any idea if there is a way to change the color?
The Redragon Harpe K503 is way different than the Redragon Karura K502*. I can't help with your Harpe K503 problem but the buds on the Redragon site will: help:www.redragonzone.com/ *Which is the one that I use
Make a video on how preventing RSI for gamers. That would be a massive good idea for your community. and also put some more insight on ergonomics while working on the PC. Maybe Terran can make it his project.
best simple things you can do is angling your Keyboard towards your dominant typing hand (so generally not your mouse hand) by about 30°. this position will make it very comfortable to use for extended sessions while playing games. for typing, you can either keep it facing towards you and allow your elbows to push out so that you can have your arms coming in on diagonals, or keep it in that slightly turned position and get used to having your hands at different angles. the important parts here: to never make your arms look like you're a T-Rex while using a keyboard, that heavily increases stress caused from using it. and to have your arms supported so that you can type from a more flat position. being high enough over your Keyboard so that your arms are in the air is also acceptable, but can increase stress a bit. this also means having your Keyboard near the edge of whatever table you're using is absolutely unacceptable. push it farther in. no, more than that. keep going. that's enough.
i bought my friend that reddragon back in 17 its still working to this day flawless and non of the keys are missing paint.. hes a gamer and was shocked that it worked this good and the paint lasted.. i think ive gone threw 3 name brands so far and hes still got the same keyboard
He keeps giving out about the "narrow enter key". Firstly, it is bigger than your wide one with more surface area therefore easier to hit when typing with your right pinkie. And secondly, it's part of the UK keyboard layout. It's normal for it.
Damian Larkin That...doesn't make any sense at all. It doesn't have "more surface area". Based on where your hands are when typing and needing to quickly tap the enter key, it has LESS. Having a normal US/CAN format (Linus lives in CAN after all) enter key with it being wide and horizontal allows a person to barely stretch their pinky finger over to tap it, as opposed to "narrow" enter keys where you have to lift your entire hand up and over just to tap it OR awkwardly and almost painfully stretch your pinky finger all the fuck way over to where it is to chance tapping it while still being able to keep your right hand in the same general area. This of course fails most of the time leading to typing errors. The UK narrow enter key is absolute crap for typing. The fact people defend it is like some Twilight Zone episode where they pretend everything is good and great even when faced with paradise right on the other side of the fence, but they say nah we'd rather live in delusion and be inconvenienced :p
any time ive used an ANSI keyboard i have hated it, i constantly skim the key above and because i normally have uk extended on i end up searching with a hashtag on everything
excessmaterial Actually, you're the one that doesn't make sense. It's reachability, or lack thereof, doesn't change the _fact_ that it has more surface area. It's simply harder to reach. And, although it is harder, and definitely more annoying, to type with, it doesn't make it "stupid for people to defend". It was marketed to a certain audience, accustomed to a certain layout style. Taking it out of its target market, and then dumping and reviewing it by someone it wasn't it wasn't designed for is unfair. Since you went for a comparison, I'll provide my own: Polar bears are adapted for the ice, where they camouflage well and their layers of fat help them. Take one out and place it in where grizzly bears live, and of course it's not going to survive for long. However, judging it by how it performs outside it's intended habitat is just stupid
Let's face it, you've got an American standard and an international standard. People are going to defend whichever they've learnt with, both have their advantages, neither are significantly better
HONESTLY, If You're Willing To Spend An Extra 5 Bucks On A TKL Redragon KUMARA. (with full mechanical switches equivalent to cherry mx blues), It's Better In Most Way's. Although It Doesn't Have A Wrist Rest, It Make's Up For It In The Long Run. LOVE LINUS!!!
Here in Brazil we have the Hardline KB-7010. I am using it now, it has good typing experience, comes with red, blue and purple colors, and also has breathing mode that cycles through them. I like it because it does not have the huge borders that scream that it's a gaming keyboard. It's very good for the price.
God how far Keyboards have come in 5 years. I got an aluminum PBT capped 100 key keyboard with Hot Swappable Gateron Brown switches, 4000mah battery and per key RGB lighting for $38 on amazon. It has software, and you can load up to 6 custom layouts that are saved to the keyboard, so they still work in wireless mode.
I bought the Redragon K503 Harpe about 2 years ago. surprisingly, no problems have emerged and the only gripe I have is how bad the keys look when they have grease on them. :)
Ok nerd I will teach how to use you hand to type Step 1: thing first to type Step 2 practice yourself for average typing Step 3:stop study little bit so you fingers are rest and chill
I have the Motospeed K70L and I think it is pretty basic backlit keyboard but it does a pretty good job of not straining my fingers while typing for long hours. I also like the multiple colors despite the lack of any breathing effect. I would love to try the Redragon tho.
you made a video where 90% of the footage is someone typing on a keyboard and you chose a person who types with just their index fingers. are you just trolling us at this point?
I did not say typist but people; very important distinction. And I just reused the made up number the initial poster used (75% of stats are made up right?)
don't belive people who uses % in comments since they just like to exaggerate their statement. example, 95% of people who use computers play either dota, lol or cs:go.
In Europe it can be found under the name: VicTsing® Mechanical PC Gaming Keyboard 87 Keys. For example www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01D64M662/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_4_w

Unfortunately, I've formatted my computer since I discovered it and lost the hard proof (logs and scans). Mine was the Centrophorous driver (downloaded from their site) allowing macro functionality, and my WoW account was compromised for the first time. I do have the circumstantial evidence that 5 days after I received the mouse I was getting my stuff restored by Blizzard. I really wish I had that proof, but since I don't (and to you I'm just a guy on the Internet), if you do buy the keyboard, be extra mindful of their software.
Tony Curson don't...save up and get a decent mouse... the mouse is what matters in games as it's how you aim.. keyboards don't amtter too much though you may find that if your pressing keys quickly for example playing medic on BF1 then a mech keyboard may be for you
Tony Curson I disagree with the other guy, cheap mice can be good. I bought a Sentey mouse two years ago and it's still going fine, it's a great mouse, lots of different custom settings you can switch to and the button placements aren't bad, some buttons are just a bit questionable. The one I got was model gs-3901 that I got for $29.99 shipped but doesn't seem to be available from Amazon anymore, however mice from e-3lue aren't the worst either if you want to go really cheap. Redragon seems to be a good choice though for a bit more.
I got the roccat lua,and that thing is pretty beast for what it costs. It's lasted me two years so far, no issues with responsiveness, and it still acts pretty much like new. It runs at around $20.
Chiptronix kranos is also a cheap and good backlit keypad Also it can be custumized easily, has all the shortcut keys, pretty darn bright, has animation options, beaded cable and has GOOD instructions
I got the 18 button gaming mouse but wanna upgrade eventually, maybe get the logitech wireless mouse. Is that the G502? Thinking of getting a gaming laptop with a 1060 gpu hence the wireless version.
Well if you want a Logitech wireless mice i recommend you to take a look at "Wired vs Wireless Gaming Mice" video of this same channel and take your conclusions.
I bought the Magic Wings keyboard a few years back that came with a 4500 DPI mouse which eventually fell apart but the keyboard is still working (even though a friend accidentally cut the cable in half with a drawer and I had to heat shrink all of the cables back, thanks a lot dude you know who you are!) But yeah it cost me around 15$ for both the keyboard and the crappy mouse. Great deal!
You forgot the motospeed keyboards. I have one for 16€ and its also got led and and those little pegs u can stand it up with and handrest in front of it.
What do u mean narrow enter key? It is literally as wide as Canada! I hate the US enter key because it is so tiny. Luckily here in EU we dont get that sh1t!
More of these, please!
25$ mice, headphones, speakers
10$ fans
125$ monitors

Please and thank you!

rather have rubber dome chiclet keyboards than them retarded old fashioned looking mechanical ones ,
also ignoring the fact that small turbodiesls stop shaking after around 1,2k rpm and that bigger ones dont shake at all.

Dave Sterling not really. If you use it everyday for years (which they generally last for) $100+ is reasonable for anyone with a disposable income
Dave Sterling No they are because there buying something way better, that lasts decades.

In China, $ 25 you can buy a lot of mechanical keyboard, such as the motospeed ck104.
You can buy it on Joybuy or Tmall.

Make a video on how preventing RSI for gamers.
That would be a massive good idea for your community.
and also put some more insight on ergonomics while working on the PC.
Maybe Terran can make it his project.
best simple things you can do is angling your Keyboard towards your dominant typing hand (so generally not your mouse hand) by about 30°.
this position will make it very comfortable to use for extended sessions while playing games.
for typing, you can either keep it facing towards you and allow your elbows to push out so that you can have your arms coming in on diagonals, or keep it in that slightly turned position and get used to having your hands at different angles.
the important parts here:
to never make your arms look like you're a T-Rex while using a keyboard, that heavily increases stress caused from using it.
and to have your arms supported so that you can type from a more flat position. being high enough over your Keyboard so that your arms are in the air is also acceptable, but can increase stress a bit. this also means having your Keyboard near the edge of whatever table you're using is absolutely unacceptable. push it farther in. no, more than that. keep going. that's enough.
your arms being supported rather than your hands having to do that - is absolutely recommended.
My keyboard is by Tecknet and I assume it's cheap because my parents got it for me.
Yes, it is. Tecknet keyboards are pretty much always garbage.
damn true haha
i bought my friend that reddragon back in 17 its still working to this day flawless and non of the keys are missing paint.. hes a gamer and was shocked that it worked this good and the paint lasted.. i think ive gone threw 3 name brands so far and hes still got the same keyboard
Hold on who the fuck type space with their index finger?
everyone
not really xD. im way faster with my thumb. i didnt know that people use their index finger :)
It's more common outside of America
I do 😶
I don't know. I use my thumb.
The fact people defend it is like some Twilight Zone episode where they pretend everything is good and great even when faced with paradise right on the other side of the fence, but they say nah we'd rather live in delusion and be inconvenienced :p
any time ive used an ANSI keyboard i have hated it, i constantly skim the key above and because i normally have uk extended on i end up searching with a hashtag on everything
excessmaterial it does have more surface area
excessmaterial Actually, you're the one that doesn't make sense.

It has software, and you can load up to 6 custom layouts that are saved to the keyboard, so they still work in wireless mode.
try the CoolerMaster Devastator 2
Robert Stokreef I have the first one and it's fantastic. Bought it two years ago and it's still going strong, mouse that came with it was junk though.

you made a video where 90% of the footage is someone typing on a keyboard and you chose a person who types with just their index fingers. are you just trolling us at this point?
Robin Steel of course he is. Linus is too smart to not be aware of everything he is doing.
To be fair ~90% of people type only with 2 fingers. So just picture that the fast typists are in the 10% that he did not show.
wtf, 90% of typists use only 2 fingers? who told u this shit lol
I did not say typist but people; very important distinction. And I just reused the made up number the initial poster used (75% of stats are made up right?)

I really wish I had that proof, but since I don't (and to you I'm just a guy on the Internet), if you do buy the keyboard, be extra mindful of their software.
do a video on cheap mice
I have a rival 95(cheap version of rival 100) got it at 10$ on sale and its pretty good.
