    pretty cool, I ordered Tesla too over a year ago, they came to my house said fix the roof and I did and they signed off. The installers came yesterday and they said hey we can't install the solar you need to fix the roof so the installer gave me his uncles info and said I can pay him to fix the roof and they will come back and install solar. So so far this is not a good experience I have to pay twice for the roof to be repaired. I hope the installers Uncle does it right this time because Ive waited far too long.

    I would have had that Tesla Inverter installed in the garage. It appears your inverter is facing South and with the sun, it will weaken your inverter over time. I would have also told them not to run too much conduit and hide the wires within the walls.

    In just less than a year, the new Tesla inverter has been overheating and will shutdown and restart at least 6+ times a day to cool off. Sometimes when it's really hot it won't come back up and I have to toggle the lever manually to restart it. It's intermittent and has cut my solar production more than half. The worst was a week of ZERO solar production because I wasn't monitoring. The system did not automatically restart. The inverter smells like burnt too and you can hear the fan at full speed through out the day.
    The worst part is, I have been waiting for Tesla to fix this problem for months now. Tier 1 support acknowledged the issue and she escalated it to Tier 2 support. Been months now and Tier 2 support hasn't contacted me not once. The Tier 1 support has also stopped responding and just disappeared. There's no other way to contact Tesla Solar support only through the app and once you have opened a case, you have to wait and wait and wait and I am still waiting for the repair until now.
    I chose Tesla over some small Mom and Pops Solar because I thought they are big and support would have been better and easier. I was wrong.

      @@dadstoyscars Been reading about this issue and it seems that many others suggests that there is a bad batch of inverters that were released with bubbles in the liquid cooling loop. With extreme heat or ambient temperature, it will not be able to cool the system as there's not enough liquid to transfer the heat to the radiator. It's pretty simple fix but I don't understand why Tesla is ignoring it. I am losing money paying for electricity from the grid as I wait.

      I originally had Tesla as my first choice, they came out and stated my 25 years old concrete tiles needs to be reroofed in order for them to install. I then contacted SunPower and the rep stated no issue with the roof, however the price was way too high. I then went me local installer because of price and they had no issue with my roof.

      @@rebeccamorgan3973 Our concern is... we recently had a leak and had to replace part of our roof (not the tiles but everything underneath). What would the roofing company do if they had to repair that leak and it was under all the solar paneling?!?

    Do the edges make the panels less efficient?

    • @dadstoyscars
      @dadstoyscars  2 года назад

      I don’t think the edges would effect the efficiency because they do not cover any solar surface areas.

    So you don’t have a battery bank to store your energy to use but your making energy and feeding back to the grid so your neighbours can use? While you’re paying payments on solar panels

    • @dadstoyscars
      @dadstoyscars  Год назад +1

      Not at all, all the extra electricity that is over produced from the solar panels will be sold back to my energy provider and credit back to my account. It didn't go to waste in any way. The power wall is more than $10K and it's not justify for what I need for my energy uses.

    you said you put 2800$ Down and Will get it back when tax credit ? But don't you have to give that back to pay off your solar so your payments stay at 75.84? Otherwise if you don't give that back I believe your payments go up ? Or am I wrong ? Sorry not too sure on my end. Great video btw!

    • @dadstoyscars
      @dadstoyscars  2 года назад +1

      I basically just fronted the money that I will eventually get back when I do this year tax return as a down payment. Which is 26% of the total cost of the system. That’s how I got my monthly payment to be $75.84. That will also help lower the interest. I hope I answer your question.

    Need to go with solar signature by cheaper inverters that work better that can handle 8,000 watts of electricity coming into it from solar and 500 volts that cost 1300 bucks each that are 6500 watt inverter and only need two of them and 24 and 455 watt solar panels which would all fit on your and is only going to cost you about $4,000 and you're also certified so you can sell them sell electricity to your state if your state buys electricity producing 12 KW an hour. Why didn't you do that that's my question to you?
