Wes Soflomia I don't know if sand blasting will help much. I have always just done a rough sand with 200 grit and got good results. Also I leave the plastics in the sun for a few hours before spraying for better adhesion.
I know this is old just painted my frame with this stuff came out great dunno how it's going to hold up in the dirt bike but I'm thinking better then regular spray paint by far
Thanks for the video. Have KLR #1 in the garage needing some style!
Great Job Tito! May think something similar for my Gen 2
Looks great, thinking of sandblasting my Kawi plastic first then rhinoliner (or similar) kinda like the rough texture it leaves. Any suggestions?

Nate Allen has it held up good?
how hard is removing and installing the parts again? I have zero maintenance experience that worries me.
It is not that hard at all. Just take your time and you will be fine. I have done it a couple of times and can disassemble in about an hr.
+Tito Sean that's good to hear, bout to purchase a 2003 can't wait to join the klr club
How many layers?
1 light coat and 2 top coats
@@ebay111978 thanks I’m only painting my rear and front fender and side panels since those are already scratched
Its been 2 years, how has it held up?
Still looks great. No pealing or fading.
Are those two different types of paint? The cans are different.
Different brand but same product. It does not need to be same as long as you put one coat of each on every part. It will come out very even.
Okay thank you
Same brand rust-oleum
