Man, just compare Aragorn and Legolas to these 2 clowns. Hard to tell if Galadriel or Isildur is more miscast. I feel nothing for these characters, while I felt everything for the characters in Jackson’s Trilogy.

Okay so what was this scene useful for? For me there was no tension at all, because we know Isildur will live until the day he cuts off the ring of Sauron. They survive almost a MINUTE being submerged inside swampy quicksand INSIDE of a swamp worm? And the reward they get? Some meat? Cut this scene, go to the next scene we see this pair and nothing will have changed to advance their characters or plot. It's such bad writing and so much unnecessary filler.
I really am not quite sure what he's pointing at tbh. Shows back in the day always had filler content, sometimes characters would banter for 5 minutes and nothing of importance was said. Not every episode and every scene needs to have a meaning and be high paced action, that's why it's a show. You have time to add filler since you're not limited with time.

Seriously look at those mandibles. That had Isildur by the legs and he is completely fine. Not only that but the acting in this scene and the scene where the Elf gets shot with the arrow is laughable.
That creature's mouth did not look big enough to swallow two people without having to chew them up into pieces first, surely Isildur would have had half his leg ripped off for a start... still, although this show is nowhere near as good as the Peter Jackson trilogy in my opinion and some of the acting, writing and fight choreography is questionable, I still find myself watching it every week so I must somewhat like it 😂
@@danielfraiz74 Because if the makers of this show can't even hold to the simple, clear descriptions of the different species that Tolkien provided, then why should we trust the show makers to be able to depict the more important aspects of Middle Earth with any integrity or respect to the source material?

In ogni caso, in questa particolare scena mi vorrei complimentare con lo staff di VFX per gli effetti speciali utilizzati sul verme, davvero ben fatto, il fango, le mandibole i movimenti, pazzesco un lavoro favvero sorprendente... Quanto al resto della scena beh, fate voi, basta dire che non é all'altezza

It's low level entertainment. It's not sincere, it's not structured well, they're laying the tracks in front of the train as it's coming, it doesn't care about the material it's based on, the acting is atrocious, it's shallow and ankle deep, they blatantly care more about dei than anything else, it's overall just a bad, bad show.
