@@flyguyry1 That’s really why. This was around the time the NFL was in a lot of hot water over concussions, so ESPN had to stop doing the Crashing Helmets in the MNF intro.
This is random but at 3:04 you can see Patrick Willis being right where a WR makes a catch 50 yards downfield. Idk if he had a deep drop in cover 2 or what but that’s insane that he’s down there. That guy was crazy fast for a linebacker
The last play call was very questionable, running the ball 3 yards from the goal line with no timeouts and the last play of the game. They could’ve thrown the ball or spiked it
Thanks for the upload NFL Throwback! Does anyone happen to know any divisional games from 1980-2008 that represented a rivalry where a brawl broke out? Here are a couple that I know: 1. Steelers-Oilers 1996 2. Raiders-Broncos 1993 WC 3. Eagles-Cowboys 1989 4. Cowboys-Redskins 1984 5. Bills-Dolphins 1995 6. Chiefs-Raiders 1986 7. Jets-Bills 1986
Here are some NFL Throwback ideas for Week 12: Raiders vs. Seahawks, Week 16, 2000 (Seahawks get controversial safety and come back to win by 3). Chargers at Cardinals, Week 17, 1998 (Cardinals go to the playoffs for the first time since moving to Arizona on a GW FG as time expires).
Even though the Niners lost this game in the closing seconds of the game, this was after the infamous, "I want winners!", speech, which was proceeded by a bye week. This game showed a 180 that the Niners were starting to figure it out with their interim coach, who then became their permanent coach for the next 2 seasons, even though they still fell short. This game, and for the next two years, set up for Coach Harbaugh to come in, with the template already in place, to be able to, "coach them up". If anything, Coach Singletary brought toughness, and physicality out of these men. Coach Singletary to Harbaugh, reminds me so much of the move the Warriors made from Mark Jackson to Steve Kerr.
Those 03-10 niner teams made me age by 20 years smh. They were so dreadful to watch on offense lol. The Shaun hill, jt o Sullivan, ken Dorsey, Tim rattay, Trent filter, even fuckin Chris weinke played a game for us if I faintly remember lol 😂
Holy shii at 4:16 Warner throws to Boldin on a curl to backside double covered, don’t matter perfect throw perfect catch and boldin just absolutely manhandles them 9ers
They used to be a NFC bigger team now they are not and smaller than the cardinals used to be the biggest team in the leauge with the black extra thick shadows non afc font
12:58 this is a PI because Bruce knocked the defender over first and he tried to make the refs think it was defensive PI but the refs knew it right away.
This is a real throwback! And I miss these days in high school just smoking pot drinking every night and watching college and nfl football with no responsibilitys .... Getting old sucks !!!
How in the heck did it take the 49ers 25 seconds to snap the ball just to spike it??? The completion to the 1-yard line was with 45 seconds left and for some reason the QB was insisting on shouting out directions at the line of scrimmage instead of just snapping the ball to clock it. Since they planned on running the ball with no timeouts they needed those extra 15-18 seconds.
This was the last good season for the 49ers After this season it was down hill they were on there way to winning the superbowl then they ruined the uniform and never could get back
We We lost something way worse than this game and Thats that uniform that is obiosly better and u all try to talk about my tattoo wit that puke Gold and no bigger NFC west ness
Love those crashing helmets in the MNF intro. It’s a shame they were retired in 2010 due to concussions.
Thats really why? Or a joke?
@@flyguyry1 That’s really why. This was around the time the NFL was in a lot of hot water over concussions, so ESPN had to stop doing the Crashing Helmets in the MNF intro.
What’s amazing about the Cardinals (outside of them making to the Super Bowl) was that they had 3 1,000 yard receivers.
This is random but at 3:04 you can see Patrick Willis being right where a WR makes a catch 50 yards downfield. Idk if he had a deep drop in cover 2 or what but that’s insane that he’s down there. That guy was crazy fast for a linebacker
The Cardinals are who we thought they were but the 49ers let them off the hook
THERE'S YOUR I.Q.,BUDDY! ZERO!
An Emmy-worthy performance by Fitzgerald! 7:14
What a flop lol
Shaun Hill the GOAT!!! Miss that legend as the lions backup QB
When they had Mike Martz?
One of the 4 Niners QBs with a winning record....al time.
Thanksgiving Throwback suggestions:
1995 Vikings at Lions (44-38)
1990 Broncos at Lions (Elway vs Barry)
Love how they used Anquon Bolden in so many ways
Former fsu QB
Some of the worst clock management you'll ever see at the end by San Francisco
Mike Singletary was as clueless a coach when it came to this kind of thing as Nate Hackett. Simply inexcusable.
I forgot how awful the 49ers were before Jim Harbaugh
2003-2010, known as the lost decade for the 49ers before Harbaugh took over.
And they still had frank gore
Yeah but that's the era FAITHFUL was born..2005 we ended up drafting players that are part of the era... BANG BANG NINER GANG 😎
I’m glad we’re much better right now! #empire #redandgold
Boldin was a RB impersonating a receiver. He was so physical after the catch jeez!
The last play call was very questionable, running the ball 3 yards from the goal line with no timeouts and the last play of the game. They could’ve thrown the ball or spiked it
Horrible coaching
@@flyguyry1 indeed
The fact they didnt even run with their best offensive player tells u everything u need to know about that team at the time too
@@kidvarye3231 exactly
Definitely had time to spike it and then call a play on 4th down with 1 or 2 seconds left

4:47- 4:53 I didn’t know Shaun Hill had guts to play like that!
This is will be a great mnf game tonight
Agreed
Who was the guy Singletery was referencing when he said “i want winners” ?
The tight end who caught a TD
Vernon Davis
What an exciting fucking game!
I remember this game like it was yesterday but it indeed was not yesterday lol
Watched this game when it happened. Mike Singletary couldn't game plan a Sunday dinner.

Before they changed kickoff rules because of damn CTE

That last play could not have been the play call. No way.
Tony Kornheiser was terrible.
Kurt Warner was so freaking accurate.
Gawd we sucked back then lmao. At least the 49ers got the W tonight :D

They used to be a NFC bigger team now they are not and smaller than the cardinals used to be the biggest team in the leauge with the black extra thick shadows non afc font
I wish they need a San Francisco 49ers Old Uniforms back.
Why was Alex Smith not starting?
He missed all of 2008 with a shoulder injury
I had no idea
Fun fact: one of the guys commentating this game actually commentates Sunday night football games

I’m glad my 49ers are much better now.
I can see why Mike Singletary didn't last. 4 seconds left at the 3 yard line with no timeouts and you call a _dive_ up the middle? Come on now.
Where's the HD broadcast?
The camera quality makes it look like the 1980s
This game WAS in HD, along with every ESPN/ABC game since 2003. Idk why they used the SD version.
