My model railroad dream layout: Märklin k-track switches ballasted & with servo drive (English subs)

- In this video I present my approach for a conversion of the Märklin k-track switches to servo drive, which is much more reliable and quieter than the original Märklin drives, makes it possible to ballast the switches without gluing the drive and also saves a lot of money!

Saubere Arbeit. Das K-Gleis ist das beste, was Märklin je hervorgebracht hat.
Ich würde anstelle des Stellhebels eine E-Antriebsattrappe einbauen.
Danke 🤗 Für Weichen einer modernen Epoche, die durch ein Stellwerk gestellt werden, sind solche Attrappen top 👍 In meinem Fall sind die Weichen in einem verschlafenen Privatanschluss und werden alle von Hand gestellt 😅
I don't mind the visible drive, as there can be clever ways to disguise it, painting it grey can make it appear to be a concrete cover for a hidden emergency switch lever.

I use Tortoise motor with piano wire at 0,7 mm and Woodland Scenics fine. Tortoise motor with piano wire are much more easier for the wagons and small locomotives by pass through the turnouts without derailment.
Piano wire would be better to prevent derailment, good idea! How do you connect the wire with the switch, through a hole?
@@1_87-enthusiast Hello! Sorry for late answer. Yes i borr drill a small hole through gear drive. I use 0,7 mm borr. 👍
Guten Morgen Jörg, sehr gut gelöst. Ich würde vielleicht die Plastik Überschüsse mit dem Dremel und einem Stechbeitel raus nehmen statt mit dem Bohrer. Aber sonst sehr toll. Liebe Grüße Jörg
Hallo Jörg, mit Bohrer habe ich tatsächlich Dremel und kleinen Fräsaufsatz gemeint. Aber Stechbeitel ist eine gute Idee für die Plastikteile, da kann man sicher geradere und sauberere Kanten (Schwellen) erzeugen als ich. 👍 Viele Grüße, Jörg
Schön gezeigt, funktioniert aber bei einer schlanken Weiche mit beweglichem Herzstück nicht. Deshalb habe ich den Mitnehmer, wo der originale Antrieb reingesteckt wird, angebohrt und dort den Stelldraht durchgesteckt. Dann wird auch das Herzstück mitgewegt. LG aus dem bewölkten München, Klaus

@@1_87-enthusiast Ist schon richtig, es wird schwieriger, weil ja die alte Mimik verwendet werden muss, aber ich habe sonst keine Möglichkeit gesehen, die Servoführung zu installieren.
