Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic power metal band, formed in 1996 in the town of Kitee, in eastern Finland. Nightwish is considered one of the bands responsible for the development and rise in popularity of symphonic metal at the end of the 1990s, as well as the creation of the subgenre symphonic power metal. Although the band has been prominent in their home country since the release of their first single, "The Carpenter" (1997) and debut album Angels Fall First, they did not achieve worldwide fame until the release of the albums Oceanborn and Wishmaster, which were released in 1998 and 2000 respectively.

Amaranth is the anthem for the Anette´s era, she is so perfect for this song, everyone already in DPP and Imaginaerum, her voice, charisma and performance is that Nightwish needed...
Anette has something that Tarja and Floor can't have (Not hating on them), and the songs sung by her are my favorites
I love Floor, she is the best thing that could happened to NW. But this song is Annette's song. I love Amarnath and no other singer sings it like Annette

I enjoyed Dark Passion Play... that album had a lot of good songs which Tuomas composed around annette's vocal style. Floor is a better singer in my opinion, but the album which Tuomas wrote around floor's voice style is not as good as Dark Passion Play. The only one I like on Floor's album was Elan...

I think she may have been sick for this performance. She coughs two times before the first chorus, and she doesn't sound as powerful as usual.

Glad I saw them with Floor Jansen. Would have surely walked out and not put up with such a performance. Reinforces their mistake in the first place. I'm sure Annette is a nice person, but as a singer fronting a metal band? Case closed!
Annette is good. But so many off notes here.
The truth is that Nightwish fell very low by changing the versatile voice of Tarja for Anette. It is very sad to see that Tuomas also made that decision and that is why many Nightwish fans gave up on Nightwish because without tarja it is not the same. It is possible that they have other songs, but it does not sound true in Nightwish with the versatile and magnificent voice of Tarja.
Yes Annette has completely different voice from Tarja, but likely Annette had 2 different but very powerful albums with NW best selling. Did you imagine Imaginearum or dark passion play with Tarja? Me not,i can imagine Sahara, scaretale, slow love slow,escapist or amaranth without her voice. Tuomas knew well..
