Camila Mendes is a Brazilian-American actress best known for her role as Veronica Lodge on The CW's Riverdale. She talks through her upbringing, her views on romance (including past relationships and current dating life), recovering from an eating disorder, and putting her mental health before fame. She also discusses her role in creating more opportunities for Latinas in entertainment.
I am so fond of Cami, Lily, and Madelaine. I feel like they’re such good people to the core and they’re so aware of the platform and influence they have, and they use that for good! Wonderful role models💖
Ashleigh Murray plus Hayley Law and Asha Bromfield ? Vanessa Morgan? They are amazing and beautiful role models too!
I love how she asks the interviewer how she’s doing
Camila is so well-spoken. Great episode. 💛
I’m love with everything about her but mainly the whole Brazilian-American thing! We are a nuanced and beautiful people and need more representation in Hollywood! Good thing we’re here cuz 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Camila for advocating for body positivity 🙏 Although I don't have eating disorder like you have experienced, I still got to face negative judgements on the basis of the size of my tummy, when it comes to going out to get something to eat, as well as dressing up for some formal event. My parents and some elders of mine judged negatively in words and actions on the basis of my tummy. And I'm sick and tired of that shit, and it hurts. And thanks to you Camila for sharing your message about body positivity
Cami, after 52 minutes of this podcast , i can tell that i could definitely talk with you for hours. Your’e such an amazing person and i can tell that your’e so strong and intelligent. Keep on being the best actress and spread kindness to everyone 💕lysm !
As a brazilian american, the way she calls it, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE AND REPRESENTATION!!!

Thanks for the time stamps! Much appreciated 🙂.
conversations like these are so important, so thank you to the both of you for providing us with such a brave and honest discussion. You’re both extremely inspiring. And a thank you to cami, for sharing her experiences and making people who have dealt with similar, feel that little bit less alone. Trauma is a terrible thing to experience - and to see her thrive afterwards and to take seriously, looking after her mental health, is so comforting to see. The world is lucky to have someone as kind and warm-hearted as cami, she truly is a light for all of us💜
This conversation hit very close to home for me, as a child of divorce that was actually born the same year as Camila. At the time of the divorce it was definitely a whirlwind but looking back on it now I think it was definitely for the best that my parents divorced because they just weren't the best match for each other in the long run. Like Camila mentioned, I too tend to have a cynical attitude towards love, at least regarding myself, but deep down I do crave a romantic connection and love with someone. ❤
I don’t have any siblings nor close friends irl and this talk was a very much needed big sister talk, thank you so much for this incredible interview
Exactly. This is what people like us need to hear sometimes. 🤍
ЖЕНЯ 💔❤️ ЛЮДА 🇧🇾👍🏾

I'm so glad she is at peace with her self, proud of who she is and doing. God bless her I hope she continues to go above and beyond❤
This podcast was so well done, conversations like these should be normalized when I was a tween I had a SA experience but I never saw it as that as the person doing it was also around my age and was 'my friend' plus no one would've seen that as assault back in 05-07 (4th grade -6th so around ages 10 -12) also had a boy at school groping my leg and when I told they wanted to say "no bullying zone " you should've said something sooner. I now know it was at least a form of assault or harassment many years later
about dating: it's better to let a relationship go when it is not supporting your value system anymore and when both partners are not a match anymore ( or never were from the beginning, but you can't always see or feel that )
and before going into a relationship - people, learn about red flags and learn to trust your intuition !
I loveee Camila! I get to see her talk more now!
She is so adorable, i love cami so much 🥺♥️
I have bpd and its so hard , ive only ever met girls with bipolar but not bpd like me so it can feel loney. Elleen makes me feel less alone, okay to be me and open to get help, I love her.

I’m an American Latina, Mexican and Puerto Rican....I grew up in Kansas. I don’t speak fluent Spanish. It’s always been a struggle being accepted by everyone.
I’ve always wanted to be an actress. I love to Bellydance.
I love you guys!! also I hope Camila sees this her dog is so cute 😂🥹

She is amazing and strong
I love camila!!!

I love this
this was a beautiful episode but why did it end so suddenly? it didn’t feel like the conversation was rounded up yk❤
I love her and she is beautiful
Camila se presenta como si no supieramos toda su carta astral
love yaa camila
I had no idea she was from Charlottesville VA , not far from me
I love how Camilla did so much in the span of like a year. Is Riverdale still writing past season 5? If not. I would love to see Camilla Lilli and Madeleine Petsch
It’s ending with season 7.
@@DisportDialogue Oh so is CW going to rework the Camilla story? I would love to continue with what happens after
She’s fast but a blank slate so likeable
Finally I’ve been Fuckin Waitin since da clip went out smh 🤦🏻♂️
The abrupt ending tho
Anyone not LOVE Camilla?
Y are u using jump cuts for an interview ive never seen that b4 lol
I knew she was baaad for a reason she’s Brazilian. Not just Latina but Brazilian sheesh. 🥵😍
I was 8 when my parents divorced I don't remember them even being together.
Her eyes tho 🫠
Cool
She's the reason of my fever after the Bieber fever
Waited way to long to post this for no reason
Lol there is a reason. Her ad deals are through the podcast networks, not RUclips. She has to get all of the initial listens on podcast platforms before posting these videos, otherwise the traffic to where she gets paid would go down
So much editing, it's distracting
I had my cousin sister seen crying 😢when her dad died a couple months ago this year and I was sad 😢😢 as well but I didn’t go to the funeral though but my sister and her mom ( aka my aunt )were really sad and depressed a lot so my uncle was a total like really good father but he was alcoholic a lot so , he was like neglecting everything my aunt did for him and my sister, but my sister loves her mom so much and I love her so much, even though she went through this trauma through a maturity age , she’s growing up but this is one trauma she’s gotta forget for good now but he’s our uncle forever even though he was bad though I respected him all the time so yeah , so many kids out there in the world are facing all these divorce and legal separation trauma because of their parents, many are happening in India almost 80 percent of parents are divorced and some are separated as well so yeah it’s happening In our society so yeah be careful kids be safe may god help you bye
Great Podcast but Eileen you speak SOOOOO low I could barely hear you throughout the whole episode.
I love camila, but Riverdale needs to stop
It is ending or r u just a continuous complainer
Eileen truly stop. haha. really bad stuff. 😬
Chasen, truly what kind of name is that?
@@InTheNameOfLife1 A great one! tell me your criticisms!
@@ChasenElaine let’s just say it’s “really bad stuff 😬”.
