Looks like they changed it up a little bit, the 2 gears you hold at 0:57 are molded as one gear on mine. Also the plastic is not as white as seen on video, its a lot more yellow-ish. Maybe they saw that as a weakspot and fixed it.Quite impressive.
Sorry for the late reply.. only recently im active again on making content after being away for quite a while do to work. Yes, you're right.. on this earlier C54 rtr single speed gearbox had a hollow gear.. the newer batch had solid gears.. the new one will also sometimes slipped out if you punch it too hard especially when your rig starts getting heavy. The method on fixing that is the same but you skip the filling the hole part. The latest C64 also have the new solid geared single speed gearbox.
Hi uncle, my name is Wahid, I'm from Singapore, thank you for the tutorial, I just added gluing with super glue to each gear iron rod so it's strong enough to climb 40 degrees.
This probably quite a late reply.. haha.. been busy lately with non RC stuff.. but im glad my repairing method works. I will post more videos in the future.. stay tuned!
I still used the stock gearbox even after 6 months.. but i jusy swapped it with the C34 gearbox and put the C54 gearbox on my C24.. i love that gearbox especially with a 370 motor.
This is a great fix! Have you ever repaired the stock plastic wheel hexes this way? My C24 rear hex is slipping on the axle. Do you have a link to the 370 motor you used on your C54-1? 👍
Yes.. that is also an easy fix.. kept the wheel screwed on the hex and pull it with the loosen hex.. put a dab of super glue and let it cure for 15 minutes and you're good to go..
Could i just buy a new gearbox motor im pretty young and dont know how to do it and i was wondering if i can just replace it whole? And i was wondering if you could make a tutorial
@@Simnotfound2012 you can install the WPL 2 speed gearbox.. its plug and play and its the easiest way to solve much of the gearbox issue.. you can still shift the gearbox manually even without a 3rd channel on the transmitter.. as for the motor, any 370 motor that came from the wpl stock 2speed gearbox will fit the new single speed gearbox.. i have a lot more content to share in my channel but im usually busy with outside work but stay tuned.. 😁
Sorry for the late reply.. only recently ive been active on making content again. Yes, the counter rotating gearbox eliminate most of the torque twist.

Great vids, i still waiting for your next c54-1 tips or trick vids.
Thanks for the tip! I have the same problem and was considering replacing the stock gearbox with the 2-speed gearbox, but I will try your idea first!

This one really helpful thank you for those idea bro😊
Thanks! This also applicable on your wpl axle gear.. Instead of using superglue, you use red threadlock..
Handy!

And also could you recommend me any motor?

Their new update to the gear box has changed that the gear has a additional shaft to it
Hey mate what brand wheels and tyres are you running they look sweet .. 👌
They're wpl C34 wheels.. i painted the mid section in chrome.. tires are B36 kit tires
What motor are you using have any links to it
Any 370 motor would do.. the one i have here is something that i found in my toolbox of parts.. so i dont exactly remember where i got them.
Does the counter rotating gearbox eliminate torque twist?

The stock receiver can handle a 370 motor? WTF?
