Great to know the actual ratios, i used the 370 to upgrade my mn99s and it now has plenty of torque and climb really steep angles. However the pay off is that the top speed is severly reduced to a slow walk. This is why my next trail truck i want with high/low gear select.
I get all of what you are saying, I just have a question. These results are asuming that both motors have the same rpm before the gear reduction. I have found out that you can get 370 motors in different rpm. Did you measure rpm before reduction? Thank you.
No bro, you are right both gearbox should be test using same motor rpm. But the gear ratio of the gearbox aftermarket single speed has a higher torque, this gearbox is great to parter a highspeed motor. The silver motor has high rpm than the black one. Some seller of aftermarket motor don't put the details.
I swear by the 370 single I use one in my semi one on my 5kg dump truck and can hual 9k my lowboy trailer has one to work in tandem with the semi tractor unit and I'll be beua duel 8x8 370
You forgot to mention the wpl gearbox is counter rotation meaning it eliminates torque twist on throttle preventing load on one side of the suspension. I would want the the wpl gearbox but it is very rare online on cost basically the same as 2 speed wpl so i chosed the aftermarket 370 gearbox which is way cheaper🤣
Pwede ba rektang palit na from 180 to 370 motor na aftermarket? Hindi na kelangan palitan yung stock na ESC? WPL C24-1 RTR yung nabili ko. Balak ko mag upgrade to metal parts tapos ito sanang 370 motor.

Never mind, I understood that gear reduction has nothing to do with initial rpm.

In terms of torque, If using straight axle 370 all metal single speed. If using portal axle the other one is fine.

Yes bro. Mas malaking motor mas mabagal pero mas malakas ang torque. Kapag nagcompare naman ng the same size motor sa rpm naman nagkakatalo.
