She really has a nice voice and I think they sound great together, but I don't think her image suits with 2NE1. She has this young more cute girl image going on and 2NE1 is more fierce with their looks.

She was in elementary school when 2NE1 debuted, and the 2NE1 members were trainees at YG for quite a long time before they debuted. They (2NE1) had already performed professionally in probably a hundred or more concert performances at various places in Korea and around the world before Lee Hi even made her first appearance on Kpop Star. And this is a 2NE1 song that they no doubt have already performed in public at least half a dozen times, not to mention practicing it together countless times. It always leaves me a bit puzzled why some people always look for some excuse, no matter how minor, to criticize, rather than just enjoying and celebrating how great it is to see Lee Hi and 2NE1 performing together.

If you have exactly the same level of high emotion all the way through it there's nothing dynamic in the way the song flows.

I prefer the body/facial expressions to be a bit more natural and understated, with more focus put into expressive singing. But Lee Hi definitely has expressions in her face and the way she sings, even if they aren't as theatrical as CL's.

I do not think she cried.They sang the song a thousand times at several shows, I doubt she was emotional. Even if music makes you feel that way, it would not have the same effect after so many times. She should be faking it. When you enter the stage singing a cheerful song, you smile even if you do not feel that way. When you sing something sad, it's the same. She's an artist, she has to do this kind of thing to captivate the audience, it's normal.

This performance is the best. I remember back then that I kept playing this. Lee Hi’s voice really blended with them that’s why she’s called the 5th member of 2ne1. I am so ashamed I haven't watched this earlier because this video just made me fall of my chair from fangirling. UGH. Their outfits are great, perfect to each of their bodies and personalities, the lighting was great, the different levels of the thing and 2ne1 in their glory omg. Officially dead.

Lee Hi has the most soulful voice but as a performer she falls behind from the 4 of them.

+Clair Bear I thought she did quite well (expression and performance wise) for the parts she was singing in this song. But, yes, it's no surprise that 2NE1 would be somewhat more polished and animated in their performances. She was in elementary school when 2NE1 debuted, and the 2NE1 members were trainees at YG for quite a long time before they debuted. They (2NE1) had already performed professionally in probably a hundred or more concert performances at various places in Korea and around the world before Lee Hi even made her first appearance on Kpop Star. And this is a 2NE1 song that they no doubt have already performed in public at least half a dozen times, not to mention practicing it together countless times.
It always leaves me a bit puzzled why some people always look for some excuse, no matter how minor, to criticize, rather than just enjoying and celebrating how great it is to see Lee Hi and 2NE1 performing together.

Lee Hi can totally sing..but no expression at all...she better work it..cuz it makes emotionless...and sometimes the songs means nothing without expression..
Her expressions look fine to me and the emotion matches the words she's singing. What does "better work it" even mean? Is she supposed to be tearing out her hair and fist pumping or something? Grimacing like she has appendicitis? The only one who gets more "emotional" in this song is CL...mostly at the end...and that's the way the song is written to go anyway. If you have exactly the same level of high emotion all the way through it there's nothing dynamic in the way the song flows.

Essie Ralte Certainly, it is a matter of taste and opinion. A lot of people like the expression to be more theatrical and dramatic. I prefer the body/facial expressions to be a bit more natural and understated, with more focus put into expressive singing. But Lee Hi definitely has expressions in her face and the way she sings, even if they aren't as theatrical as CL's.

I do not think she cried.They sang the song a thousand times at several shows, I doubt she was emotional. Even if music makes you feel that way, it would not have the same effect after so many times. She should be faking it. When you enter the stage singing a cheerful song, you smile even if you do not feel that way. When you sing something sad, it's the same. She's an artist, she has to do this kind of thing to captivate the audience, it's normal.

Hayi's vocals is suitable for this kind of song but she's obviously too young for it. She lacks the emotions needed to be able to reach out..well, it's just my opinion. I'm that kind of audience who also looks for emotions in the singer to be able to feel it but I'm pretty sure, she'll get there. I find it so cool when 2ne1(the eonnies) appeared on stage..what i love about company concerts are the collabs like this and Daesung and KSY singing "Ugly"..hope I could go to one YG fam concert in the future..YG fam fighting!
