I love that they do acoustic version of their songs. Everytime i compare blackpink to 2ne1 i always feel blackpink member can’t really sing. Sorry blinks. Thats my opinion. I feel like i can compare 2ne1 to mamamoo.
blackpink can sing tho. I think what u want to say is that 2ne1 connects to the viewers/audience more genuinely for whatever performance, like from hype perfomances to ballads and acoustics. blackpink can still improve tho but for whatever reason, they were already popular.
This group always felt like it had 4 main vocalist, all their voices have a different color, probably CL and Minzy are going for a more similar technique and style but then you have Dara and Bom totally different tones and styles, the most important is that when their 4 voices are together the result is amazing, this video is the proof of it. Let's not forget their dance abilities, rap, and charisma on stage. They are a full package

Falsetto is the easiest form of doing head voice. It's disconnected and requires little training and she probably has little control over it. If she could do connected head voice, then I'd give her credit because that requires a lot of control and training. Dara is definetely a below average singer. She has major intonation issues, her breathing technique is non-existent therefore non-existent projection, power and practically non-existent range and she can't do vibrato. I'm not saying this as a hater, I'm a big 2NE1 fan, I'm saying this as someone who knows a little about vocal technique. There's no point in deluding ourselves into thinking she's a good singer. She has talents but singing is not one of them.
