I do agree with you that Minzy is the best singer in the group and Dara doesn't have a nice range, but there's always going to be that person in the group who's vocals aren't as good as the others. Dara is probably the person out of the 4, but people make It sound like her voice is horrifying.

+ALWAYSOT12 EXO it would be boring if all have the same capacity..for a good music you need some variety in tones..Like BigBang..TOP's voice is so different from the rest-low, G-D is high, Taeyang has the pop voice and Daesung has the cool voice which is very nice for easy listening music. It up to how they can harmonize their voice..
+ALWAYSOT12 EXO Dara does most of the background harmonizing. When you hear their recordings, her voice is always layered to the other 3. It sounds so ridiculously good.
to me, Dara gives that sweet quiet break to every 2ne1 song... All of the girls have very unique voices, but the other three all have very powerful voices, not that it's a bad thing, but i imagine without Dara's sweet voice with the mix, it may get too overwhelming.

im a blackjack and honestly, i think 2ne1 would be a mess without dara. i mean i love the other 3's high voices specially bom's (bc she's my bias) but dara gives the control and balance the group with her sweet and "cold" voice.

She may be a decent vocalist but her tune and tempo is not off or all over the place plus she said that picking her (she didn't know that they were a group) to sing with the 2 powerful vocalist (minzy and cl) is a good choice because she's keeping the song not too powerful or calm for the song since the song is not supposed to be powerful and the other girl (Bom) is a good choice too because she's keeping the emotions balance since her voice is very good and very emotional (vocal tone/color) and that's making this acoustic version very balance with Powerful-Emotions-Calm. So try harder next time when you're trained and knew more about music.

Bom has such an original voice, Dara, while perhaps being the weakest in terms of singing talent, adds a great light feel to their songs, and CL is of course a brilliant rapper, singer and dancer. Minzy, however - the girl is consistently amazing live and she's a fabulous dancer. I'm hella surprised that she doesn't have a solo album yet.

Apart they’re still great, and no other female group can rep,ace their sound, or their awesome stage presence and charisma. Even stripped down to simple accompaniment and their voices, they’re fabulous. Legendary and untouchable-that’s 2NE1.
I love Dara. She may not be the best singer but she is an inspiration. My inspiration. I watched her and followed her journey from Philippines to Korea and now worldwide. She is the living proof that hard work and dedication can make one's dreams come true.
