  • An end of the year winter day hike in central Washington. Steamboat Rock State Park and Northup Canyon. Both are beautiful places, they are day use only which is kind of a bummer. The Steamboat Rock State Park Campground was nice and vacant, every time we've driven by in the fall or spring it was always packed to the brim. We enjoyed the solitude near Banks Lake and Grand Coulee.

This was the area on "ancient apocalypse." This is the land that was formed in the great upheaval when the ice age ended the prior advanced civilizations.

Great video! Eastren Washington is special. I love to see no one at Steamboat Rock usually very busy. I live in the Spokane area. If you haven't checked out the Fishtrap Recreation Area, you should it's similar to Steamboat Rock. Thanks for sharing!

Nice. I did this over the summer, way out of shape and massively hungover

Looks like a nice area to hike. It was so great that there weren't many people around. Thanks for sharing! 😊

At 4:30 Lacey is walking past what looks like a large piece of granite erratic. Probably dropped by the ice sheet on top of steamboat rock.
