I absolutely adore how they do the scene with the two fish talking. Lol sometimes I wonder if/ how much animals talk and tell stories about us humans when we aren't around. Or when we're not aware of it. ☺️
Lucille Ball was their "landlady" as she owned (still with Desi then) Desilu. She was watching Mary on the catwalk and motioned to tell MTM: "you're very good" - Mary claimed that was one of the highlights of her entire career.
Do you think domestic violence is just a modern day thing? They just covered it up, ignored it, or simply accepted it as normal back then. The Honey Mooners were always jokingly alluding to domestic violence: "straight to the moon, Alice" ... "POW, right in the kisser." Ricky was always "spanking" Lucy. I love all those old shows, but they weren't exactly non-violent. Rob and Laura were actually a much needed progressive example of a healthy relationship.
One thing I didn't like about this episode is this does not seem like their character on the show, it seems like the writers of the show wrote this episode to let people know that no marriage is perfect. and there will be arguments and disagreements sometimes
Carmencita Davis Yes! The difference is to learn from it if a couple wishes to. How to make up for having disappointed each other once reunited from their separate roles throughout part of the day. That’s where love & forgiveness comes in & can show its strength & pardon.
This was later repeated on All in the Family involving the repairman and his black helper fixing Archie's refrigerator that was funny when Archie and Mike told different versions.
I always hated Richie...and this just put the fuel to the fire. What's WRONG with this kid? He's careening through the house, messing everything, breaking everything. He's a rather BIG BOY. AND he's snotting off? I can't STAND Richie.
@@intotheabyssoftheunknown4479 I agree with snapepet..that kid has got to go..i find myself lowering the volume and skipping episodes just so I don't have to listen to his freaking LOUD mouth.
Well I guess you loathed Dennis the Menace, then! 😆 Seriously though, are you all from the "Children should be seen and not heard" era? Jeeze. Kids make messes, break stuff, and are loud sometimes. So do Adults!! Nobody's perfect. At first I thought he told Laura to "shut up" about the shaving cream, but I think he said "it shot off." I'm not sure though. In any case, he was being annoying and inconsiderate. Anyway, I liked how they extended forgiveness, patience, understanding, grace and love to each other AND to their child at the end. Rob saved the "loud conversation" with Richie over the spelling test for after they enjoyed their dinner. They weren't being permissive with him, just not overly punishing him for making some mistakes. (Also, he probably spoke loudly because the director told him to project his voice to be heard in front of the live audience. If you notice, all kids spoke really loudly on T.V. and film back then. I think the directors wanted to make sure they got their lines across.)

Loved this show. So much fun to see it again.

I miss MTM. She was so amazing and beautiful.

Too bad Lucille Ball never guest starred on the show.
5:19 -Rob "what do you want me to do, cook it for you?" OMG!
Anyone else wish they’d pause the fight and go clean up the glass? 😂🤦♀️
LOL, finally we actually get to see Rob trip on the ottoman!
The he says/ she says episode, classic!
But the fish told the true story.
I miss us..That era..innocence ..😞 I WANT MY MOMMY!!!
💔
Great episode on perspective. One perspective pro Rob and the other pro Laura. In the end loving compromise instead of modern day domestic violence.

My favorite DVD episode.
best. show. ever
But why did Mary Tyler Moore have last billing, behind Larry Mathews?
im guessing because it wouldn't make sense for it to end with "And Larry Matthews." They needed to end with a BANG so they pushed her name to the end.
And Mary Tyler Muir! - LOL
why did you cut off the rest???????
Copyright, youll find part two on the other video with the same name exceot it says part two and not one
@@mialevi1341 I'm glad you put this up.
Lol, sometimes i don't read the full title on the video either
Laura in a tiara.
Oh You pick the fine 🕙 to wash the 🚗

That was a good one
He's so weird, but in the good and funny type of way.
That argument was so funny, and then Rob and Laura telling different versions where one was good, the other was so MEAN!
I came home, great argument if you want to start working up to 0 from - 100 in ur brown points count
Ritchie is always adorable
except this episode, he's more typical and not the focus
ONly the fish got the story right. Rob and Laura made up one lie after another, but their story was really funny.
Why did Larry Mathews get higher billing than Mary Tyler Moore in the opening?

I remember when I was this mad at the tall guy in this video.

Lay off Ritchie! He's a kid! Give me a living break!😀 No humor for some!😁🤔🤔

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?!
Come on he is just a child. Boy
Start putting a dress on Ritchie to wear...lmao!
