Congrats to Mike. Always enjoyed keeping tabs on his game with the O's but then he came to NY and us Yankees fans were very fortunate. I'll tell you exactly what many of us thought as Mike worked the count and battled hitters: Damn this guy knows how to pitch.
don't forget that his entire career was in the AL East During the Steroid Era! and he pitched in Camden & Yankee Stadium where homers fly out of! imo he should already be in the HOF but without a doubt he Will be in very soon
Lol, watching Mussina pitch against Cleveland in playoffs in late 90s is ridiculous. Those pitches are all 8” off the plate but back then, it was fair game. None of those pitches would be strikes today.
My all time favorite pitcher and I love his pitching style.. To me, he was way more competitive than R. Johnson and G. Maddux.. He threw his entire career in American League East! Find a article with D.Ortiz about Mike Mussina.. As I remember Prime Manny Ramirez could not even get a clean hit on him.. Manny hut some when he had a relatively bad year right before the year his retirement.. MOOSE!!! www.google.co.kr/amp/s/articles.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2016/08/red_soxs_david_ortiz_lists_2_yankees_among_toughes.amp
This dude to me was better than Maddux, I know that sounds rediculious, but he pitched in a stacked AL east on teams that just could not score for him. When he went to the Yankees Joe Torre used to mess with his rust to make sure that he faces opposing teams Aces which cost him wins. He threa 95 mph constantly with the same pitching style as Madddux, but Maddux did not play in the ultra competitive AL East. He does not get enough credit.
Mike Mussina was good but he ain’t no Greg Maddux. Mussina didn’t win 4 consecutive CYA awards like Maddox did. Maddux is also a 18 time gold glover and a World Series Champion. Mussina also had way better run support compared to Maddox. Mussina is a better strikeout pitcher that’s about it, although they were both excellent fielders.
@@unclechesterthepester787 Greg Maddux didn't pitch the American League East, against the Yankees, Red Sox, and Blue Jays, and Oreals and the greater American League with Indians crazy good line up, Texas Rangers, ECT, and against DH batters. And Mike Mussina was also 7 time Gold Glover and would have won more had he been able to stay healthy. The AL at the height of the steroid era was a blood bath especially the East.
Always loved his delivery and that hop into fielding position at the end.
I loved watching him throw the knuckle curve
20 win season to end his career. Truly one of the better pitchers to play the game
It warms my heart that he’s a Hall of Famer. Ridiculously underrated!
Mike mussina One of my favorite pitchers of all time just like Pedro Martinez Randy Johnson

The master of the Knuckle-Curve!
And the circle change
너클 커브의 달인 마이크 무시나 말씀이죠 MVPFLF 양반?
That is one of the most over-the-top deliveries I have seen.
One of my favorite pitchers. Thanks for the upload!!!
Very underrated pitcher, with tough company like Pedro and Johnson
Dont forget Clemens
Welcome to the Hall MOOSE!!!
My favourite pitcher !!!!
Rodrigo Ramirez happy I was able to make this and you enjoyed itb
He is a Hall of Famer in my eyes he pitched remarkably consistent in the steroid era.
I loved watching him pitch when i was a kid..Also great video as usual from MVPFLF
Reptilian Shape Shifting Master Race thx. Happy he’s a hall of famer now!

I can't believe he isn't a Hall of Famer yet.
InstantKarma376 he is one now
I'm glad he got into the HOF. I thought for a few years he wasn't going to make it since his era was a little higher.
Soooo Underrated especially as Oriole. Wow I didn't realize he struck out 15 of 19 poss batters in that playoff game. 7th inning only 1 out that's 🤪

Welcome to the Hall of Fame Moose!!!
Love the Breaking Benjamin instrumental. Great video.
I remember when Moose first came up from the minors. He drove a nissan 300z to the stadium. License plate: IPITCH.
4:19 umpire really likes the music
Edgar Ortiz lmao!
this guy was so dominant
BREATH IS THE FIRST SONG! BREAKING BENJAMIN
The Orioles need another Mike Mussina Badly.
Big Mike Congratulations 2U, Love Watching Him Pitch, I’m telling my age I’m only maybe 2 years younger than him, I’m A Huge Baseball Head
Ok he looks good for 50Years Old I’m 43Years Old
he looks like justin verlander, except that he was almost an overhand pitcher
Upload more videos of legends
If he goes into the hall, I hope he goes in as an O, but he could really go in as either
Should have suck around a couple more years to reach 300 wins and would have gotten a championship ring.
Nice breaking Benjamin bro!
I’ve played against the little league team he coaches
Poor guy he could've won a World Series and the Yankees won after he left...
1:03 Dean Palmer lol
Can you do pedro martinez next? i love ur vids

I hate to say it but is this channel dead
Not at all. It's still baseball season. Everyone knows I don't upload much of anything during the season.
