    I have a 5kw in my garden pub, it works great, i only ever use red diesel or heating oil, you can get a kit on ebay which contains a burner gasket set, a glow plug, and the vapouriser Gauze, and the glow plug spanner, for between £8-12.

    When you move the exhuast also the the air intake and run it outside as well. Then you are sucking in cold air to burn the diesel and dumping the exhuast outside wich also keeps the building from being negative pressure. Will help prevent drafts and cold air being sucked into the building

    • @TheRoverspeed
      @TheRoverspeed Год назад +1

      Rules for Red diesel changed recently, I think you have to be VAT registered business to purchase red now or something like that, I know builders are even having issues buying it for plant equipment. I have one on order and plan to use home heating oil as the fuel as its cheaper than diesel.

  • @reidnichol9255
    @reidnichol9255 Год назад

    It depends on the heater running level when the power goes out, if the board gets damaged or not? In addition some MB are potted in epoxy in a plastic box and often do not get damaged when the power fails. In many areas they refine used engine oil, not burn it.

    To keep from havingbto clean up fuel line etc, when burning used motor oil or bio diesel, just add about 30% diesal or kerosene for a much cleaner burn. Also diesel engine fuel additives used every 10 times will also keep your motor cleaner....👍

    do you know if it has an air pump/compressor type injection system as used in the traditional kerosene tube type heaters .

    • @Dirt-Diggler
      @Dirt-Diggler Год назад +3

      No just the fuel pump that pumps it through the injector ( which is basically just a crimped pipe) the air is forced in by the dual fan ( the inner fan blows into the burn chamber, the outer blows air over the outside of the burn chamber) 👍

  • @jonathanbird1534
    @jonathanbird1534 Год назад +1

    Martin such a waste of heat by wrapping the exhaust pipe with heat lagging! Better to keep as much of the pipe inside & fit a mesh guard over it to keep as much heat as possible inside! instead of wasting that high temperature to the outside!!😢😢 ( Hope this helps save even more money on heating space?) Loving your videos by the way! All the best to you Martin from Johnny bird up in cold arse North Yorkshire! 🤜🤛🍻🥶🤣😂🤣

    I'm having a right headache with mine, I bought my diesel heater which came with blue screen and black remote although my blue remote has ( plus & minus) instead of left and right arrows.
    Heater still works fine but I lost my remote. I purchased a red replacement remote but couldn't get it to pair, I have now bought the same display as the one shown in this video which came with black remote but I can't get it to fire my heater up.
    My original blue display with plus and minus keys is no longer showing the signal bars and I can't get it to come up with hfa for remote pair although it works fine directly from the display. Anyone any ideas/help?, it would be much appreciated

  • @charliecoco2115

    Using used engine oil gives out approx. 75% extra heat over diesel. Don't use vegetable oil, it contains moisture and clots and will ruin the internals of your heater.

    • @Aelanna

      I was wondering about that. Doesn't used motor oil have particulates that will plug the fuel filter or heater?

    Hi! I have got a 30 square meter garage. It has 10cm isolation but leaks a little from the garage door. Do you think I should buy a 5 or 8kw heater? Do you have to disconnect it from the battery overnight? Will the 8kw use more fuel than the 5kw on the lowest setting? Thanks:)
