thnx for all of this info man tis really helpful. I just feel like im lost cause I made a great beat but the vocals don't add up with the ones in my head.
It all comes with time man no worries, people spend years coming up with voices, tones, and skills with vocals to get the best ones possible. Thankfully you can get there, for free, but with time, just don't stop the ideas from coming in♥️
Yo I took in yo advice and copied some of the templates and the mixing was elite❕❗️🔥🔥 Thanks my g but quick question tho…How do I denoise the background noises or static sounds?
if use a brighter it make low bass or bright sound to your voices without adding another volume even chaning the bass soundtrap fun if you know how make music with effect the effect help changes where can take travis scott beats n changes to your voices
Thanks bro! The beat was downloaded, not me, but all of the vocals are mine. I maybe should do a beat breakdown of that, it would be cool, shout out to @Aiden Kenway
Hey man just checked out the vocal on your tunes. Good stuff I wanna give u advice. I hear it bein overly compressed RN and over EQ tbh. I'd totally recommend trying to get the best vocal sound with 1 EQ and 1 compressor. BIGGEST TIP THO, I hear you boosting alot around the 1k-5k region (the 5-7th band on the Soundtrap EQ) and I think you're looking for the highest band instead (9-10th band). A LOT of people boost too LOW when mixing vocals and thats what I'm hearing with yours right now. It was a mistake I made in EVERY vocal coming up and I reconized it super quick, flow does have a shimmery top buzz but it's around 8k-20k, higher than you'd think. It's such a common problem and here's a good start.
Frog Tone - Mixing thanks man I’m trying hard on understanding how to lower the compression and EQ but I’m having trouble mixing with your instructions from the paragraphs, if you can? Can you make a video on Flows type of style, most people listen and are inspired by his type music, and would be more recommended from people.. please bro most needed :(
@@ysnclixs8343 for sure man I'll go more in-depth in that video, might do one on a bunch of rappers like him bc alot of ppl have his vocal production sound, heard👍
Hey man, one major difference I heard in that song was the reverb on his voice is super SUPER big, wide, large, and not too noticable. Definetly creating a seperate track and having the reverb volume lower than the original vocal sound is a huge player in the big homie sound. Soundtrap reverbs won't be able to get that detailed, but they can still work very well. If you want to use the audacity/3rd part plugins like I explain in the "vocal part 2" video, then follow the steps and download valhalla supermassive for a good, clean, FREE, huge reverb sound. JUST REMEMBER THAT 90% IS THE GOOD PERFORMANCE AND EQ AND COMPRESSION ON HIS VOCALS!
Pretty specific question so ill do my best to answer here. For the most professional sound id cut the low end, and boost the high end like i do here on the eq. Boosting especially the highest band on the Soundtrap eq. But if you want the most pro sound, and you have alot of room sound in your recording, EQ wont save it. Check out my video on recording to get the best FREE sound from any mic, without good recording you cant get a good vocal. What kind of space are you in and who do you wnat to sound like?
Oh sorry just reread the comment, I'm charging for individual mixes now, thought you meant the video my b, instagram is @frog_tone if you're interested tho!
Putting him on the list for this series right now to make a video on, I got alot of artists to make video like this on he's in there now for sure. For now tho tips on just sounding like him, I hear not alot of compression at all on his voice. Along with some subtle auto-tune, use that dynamic comp but don't go low on the gain reduction (GR) at all, and keep the ratio high. I'd say ~4.0-9.0 of the ratio setting, and letting the "GR" meter not go below 6. Mess with the Threshold knob to control GR.
Thats what I'm hearing after listening to the vocal on the box, keeping in mind 75% of a good sound comes from a good performance/recording. More tips when I make a full video tho👍
Just listened to back for my ends RN, very decent compression, medium attack time (~50ms), I'd probably do 2 compressors, bring the threshold down to taste and follow just like the Travis vocal. Make sure to EQ before the compressor, cutting out a good chunk of the low end, do it to taste, and boost some highs just like the Travis vocal. These two aren't incredibly different, remember it's 90% bout the performance👍
Frog Tone - Mixing Thanks man!!! I needed this for a feature that I have to get in tonight! Thank you! Im a returning subscriber for now on! Notifications on and will never miss one video!!

The generals of this video should stay the same to sound like trippie (parrallel comp and reverb tracks, eq and compression) but here are some things to sound like him specifically He usually leaves the bottom end out, so when eq'ing, cut a tiny bit more of the bottom end eq The performance is always the most important thing, so make you you comp and great take The auto tune is the medium setting in Soundtrap's autotune (lmk if you want the exact numbers) The adlibs are usually reverbed out, and mono, esspiecally in new songs like Weeeee, hell have these high energy, high end adlibs Hope this helps!
If your beat has a key and it says it in the title that'll be what you set it to. If not, use this video to find the key of your melody ruclips.net/video/9bQouq9a_CA/видео.html Hope that helps!
