2hp - Slice

Slice is a small Eurorack Module that rhythmically repeats slices of the input signal, allowing to create beat fills, stuttering and glitches. In this video i´m giving a basic overview, followed by a patch tutorial to get independent dry and wet signals.

This is the best demo of the Slice I have seen. I am still undecided on replacing the 2hp Freez with this. The Freez is really fun on drums, but it looks like this one can grab a longer sample. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,i, thanks for the video. What are the differences between this new "slice" and the Freeze (both from 2HP) ?

slice is clockable and repeats in divisions of the clock, straight or tripplets; the output sound is clean.
freez is more like a sample and hold which also can mangle the audiorate, but has no clock input.

@@DominikVogelModular Thanks for your answer. After looking at my Freeze I saw the difference, the timing... Slice is made to this purpose following the tempo, Freeze is more "free style". I love Freeze but I just ordered a Slice that will certainly be better for this kind of effect. Thaks again !
