    Thank you! This video is so excellent. You've answered every single question I had. The 99s is still special in its own way.....but the 78 is the revision of every thing that could use improvement over 99s. The top heaviness of the 99s is solved by tire size, servo on axle and overall just a bit more sturdy driveline.
    I'm going to order a 78 now. It'll be mostly stock but to really enjoy it for what it is. My 99s has become... a longer wheelbase option for a low center of gravity modified truck. Great Video!

    WPL needs to up the game, MN has taken it to another level. The new transmission go through screws is what I like the most. Pity about the tires, not much choice to upgrade unless you cut. Thank you.

    Thanks alot man, I'm going brushless with a cheap 2208 1400kv outrunner motor, wanted to know the pinion gear size, so it's a 10t 0.6M? I was able to find one with a 3.17mm hole so it should be an easy swap!

    I have a mn82 and I recently bought the mn78, it hasn't arrived yet, so I have a question. I consider the modulation and torque of the MN82 to be adequate, but practically every review of the MN78 says that it is underpowered and the modulation is bad. Is this discrepancy real or does the MN78 just lacks power for being heavier than the MN82?

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  5 месяцев назад +1

      The modulation of Mn82 is a little bit smoother than mn78.

    Thanks for this great video. I've just upgraded my motor to a 370, but i need to know, what is a "propeller gear"? I need to upgrade it?

    • @morrisrc

      The gear that driveshaft hold.

    • @acroyear23

      Fantastic. I actually have that arriving today. Metal gears for inside the gearbox. I may replace the drive shaft next

    • @acroyear23
      @acroyear23 7 месяцев назад

      It didn't go well. The 370 motor felt way more powerful, and was faster than the stock motor. When I ran it outside in grass, the stock motor climbed far better. The 370 motor actually stalled out. I think the 370 motor I purchased may have high rpm but low torque. Should I try a 35t motor? Is that considered high torque? Or do I need a 40t or higher?

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  7 месяцев назад +1

      Mine I used 370 motor from wpl 2speed gearbox that has long shaft.

    • @acroyear23
      @acroyear23 7 месяцев назад +1

      That's very helpful. I ordered a 34t 370 motor. I hope to get similar results. If I don't, I'll have to figure out where to get the same motor you used

      I think it is closer to 1:12, The wheelbase of 1:1 jeep cherokee xj is 2,576mm as I see in google, if it is converted to 1:12 using model scale calculator the result is 214.66mm.

    • @morrisrc
      @morrisrc  Год назад

      Sorry the caption in the subtitle is wrong. All motor gearbox there is 370 motor except the gearbox of MN78, it is 280 motor. Very slight difference in appearance but if you measure the diameter of the motor 280 motor is 1.2mm smaller than 370 motor. There difference is the 1st digit 3 and 2 and it is the diameter of the armature.
