Thank you so much, Ron. As it happens I got paid to teach in the classroom for 15 years, so hopefully my in-person students felt the same way. Have a great day! You've made mine. ☺
Hi Marlene. What a great review. I've seen a few YT reviews of the BCL9 and 15 where people have completely missed the point of these lenses and completely dismissed them as being not being good lenses. One of the advantages with MFT is size and these lenses help even further to reduce the size of the system, something you've proven perfectly. As for sharpness, I personally think that these lenses are fine. Maybe the only draw back is that you need a lot of light, but this is just a simple a case of choosing the right tool for the right job. I also personally think that these lenses have their own look as well with colour, this is probably due to the cheaper optics but I think it works very well in giving a certain 'look'. Great tip as well for exposure. Letting the camera balance with the shutter really does make this lens very easy to use in good daylight and leaves you to only have to worry about getting focus. The 9mm is also a fantastic lens for vlogging, especially when paired with a tiny camera like the Z Cam E1. You may find this comparison video interesting ruclips.net/video/IledQJ9Ei3Q/видео.html Cheers, Dave.
Oh dear. Wish I was better at skating! ;) Have fun with the lens. You can do some really creative stuff with it if you take advantage of that curvature.

Thank you for this. I'm not really a review type person so your feedback is great to have. Cheers. A friend of mine has a Laowa 7.5mm fisheye type and it's much sharper. Three times the price, but likely worth it if you're into this type of photography on an ongoing basis.
@@ImageMaven yes, I'm almost a professional photographer, and i find that you provide the right amount of technical detail (not too much and not too little).

Good one, I think I need to reorder this one, bought one in 2016 when I got into the M43 universe, but havent seen it for some years. The drawback of buying it, is that I probably find the original one within a week of the new one arriving... It filled the Ultrawide slot in the traveller kit, consisting of 9mm, 12-32 and 35-100 F;4-5,6 very nice. If I needed to, the pictures taken with it could be defished in LR using a Nikon lens profile for one of their UWs, I think it was 10,5 mm or something odd like that. :-)
Hi Jens, Funny thing, I have also "lost" this lens somewhere in my office. FYI, there is now a better lens out there. But it does come with a larger price tag: Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D - Might be worth a look too. Unless of course you find your lens! Thanks for stopping by to chat!
