Brydge also sells a $20 case that is meant to fit with the keyboard attached so there is a way to protect your iPad while using the keyboard

I used the Brydge 9.7 with my previous 9.7 iPad. I loved that setup and found it to be near perfect. The only bugbear was the lack of protection. I have bought a new iPad 7 and could not get the 10.2 brydge so ended up getting a body glove case and keyboard. I cannot wait to get the 10.2 brydge as I have missed it. In my opinion the brydge turns an IPad into a serious contender as a laptop replacement. Where the brydge beats many other solutions is that you can actually use it on your lap. Useful when you need to get a document out on a Friday afternoon while sitting in a crowded airport. All other setups require the iPad and keyboard to be on a flat surface. You can also change the angle of the view and it wont fall over.

Nice review. It really helped me make that purchase decision. I bought the exact same color setup (space gray) as that one on your video.

It would have been nice to actually see the levels of backlight to the keys , also I would suggest including a 2nd camera view when doing the review (or adding extra b-roll footage)

As this connects to the iPad via bluetooth would it connect to and work ok with a windows pc ?

Yes, but if that's your intended use, there are a lot of terrific PC-targeted Bluetooth keyboards that have a better design and layout!

Not yet released for the iPad 7th Gen, but the company has said they'd send me one for review purposes once it's on the market!

A kickstand case + the magic keyboard would a the way to get “a full Mac keyboard” on an iPad. Personally, I prefer the Smart Keyboard so I don’t have to worry about Bluetooth. Shame the regular iPad (non-pro) lacks the smart connector. So owners of that model will need a Bluetooth keyboard such as the Brydge. Great review 😁

That would work if you want to tote around multiple pieces. And yes, the Apple Smart Keyboard offers a smoother interface but... 1. It's super expensive, and 2. Not sure it has the best keystroke experience you can get. Have you tried various others, Jake?

The strange part it has more functionality on androids then Ipad

    • @AskDaveTaylor

Interesting. It's designed specifically to work with an Apple iPad, but as a generic bluetooth keyboard, it would indeed work with either. Are you testing it with an Android phone or tablet?

@@AskDaveTaylor tablet probably android software has better understanding of user intentions. I got for my IPad but my broken down android gives more functions the arrow keys makes scrolling through menu icons and jumping from buttons to scroll bars without touching screen. Probably I am missing something with my IPad don’t know
