I ended up with Soundcore 2 speaker to replace my 10+ year old Bose SoundLink mini because of its battery finally letting go. Replacing it is quite a hassle from the research I've done since you basically have to take the thing apart and do soldering. But mainly there's no direct Bose battery replacement, just a bunch of Chinese knockoffs from Amazon. And speaking about knockoffs, I actually tried to buy a new SoundLink but Bose doesn't sell them anymore and I got stiffed getting a complete fake of Ebay. Anyways, I got my Anker from Walmart for $50 bucks. Figured you can't go wrong. And obviously the sound quality is nowhere near as good as the Bose, I was pleasantly surprised with ease of use and quality for the price. But again sound quality is not the best therefore its more of a audiobook, video watching use than music. That's why I'm looking for something a bit better. Looks like this X600 would be a good bet but I wish they haven't done that handle thing the way they did. Spoils the look for me.
I got a powerbank from this brand as a gift for free when I was ordering a soldering station from Weller (I could choose the gift) I´m very happy to see other products from them and I´m very happy with the gift I got from them, nice build quality, it´s the Powercore 20100

This was the only thing I noticed about the Soundcore depending on what I was listening to, which was why I didn't keep it. Out of the group the best sounding overall to me was the LG and not by a large margin at all mind you, but I will say this: if you are someone who primarily listens to beat heavy music like Hip Hop, EDM, instrumentals, or just doesn't put alot of value in vocal clarity then the Soundcore is very VERY hard to beat especially for its price

Yes , has better presentation for music just by not downmixing the music to mono like revolve does and more clarity. Bose is just better in 360 sound imaging but the music feels convoluted in mono mixing. I don´t have the x600 but a familiar has it and I test it a lot of times.
Great review, but you should clarify that this is a sponsored video and the terms of the sponsorship, as in that you are giving your opinion under no condition that Soundcore or whoever is buying a positive from you.
There's a sponsored bug that runs on the screen at the beginning of every sponsored video. No one gets any kind of editorial say over what I say in my videos unless I actually get something wrong. I find that the people who do give disclaimers in their videos make me more nervous than those that don't. At the end of the day, I don't do anything in sponsored videos that I wouldn't do in unsponsored videos. There's always a conflict when the power dynamic is out of balance in the way they are when money is involved. I'm an adult. I can maintain my credibility in the face of commerce.
@jamesmichael900 I was not instructed to hit talking points. I maintain editorial control over my content as a matter of course when I work with any brand. and to imply that getting paid to do my job in some way invalidates my ability to be honest is, frankly, insulting.

Soundcore - just like Wiim, Fiio and dozens of other Chinese audio brands - can do it for the price because they don't pay the wages we expect in developed countries (offtopic, but China and India are still considered developing countries). They also have efficiencies of scale that Western manufacturers can only dream of. The question then becomes how much of the cost of an iPhone made in China is the dreaded 'Apple tax' ? A debate best left for another day, but you DID ask how Soundcore do it for the money.
How are you a tech reviewer and actually think that your hi-res lossless tracks in Apple Music are actually outputting that way over Bluetooth? Apple only uses the AAC codec for Bluetooth which maxes out at 320 kbps.

Im sorry but you talk about reviewing audio for 10 years but started your video by describing the upward firing driver as a sky channel 😁
its a driver that faces up, lol, nothing groundbreaking here and why are you calling it a sky channel like its some sort of new technology? you got the speaker for free and are using their affiliate links, shouldn't this video be labelled as paid promotion??
Not even mad at all the devices you have on your Bluetooth list but just know you are one of my favorite content creators and I’m here for you you do not have to live this way 😂 great review as always
That handle really needs to move out of the way….
Great video, thank you.
I have their liberty 3 earbuds and they are incredible
Is it good for outdoor
can you plug a usb in the back and play music via the usb rather than the bluetooth?
I used Anker flare2 ,motion+ and now X600 NO need to spend fortune for other brands ....
Is it good to practice singing with?
Is better than Bose sound link plus 2?
Torn between this and Harman Kardon Aura 4. Can you help me decide?
Made my mind up. Thanks.
So is the Soundcore a huge shit?
@@Xtremefox7 no I ended up buying two motionbooms, very happy, in fact am blown away by them for the price.
@@HuSiaCat Cool. I'm looking for something to use inside my room only, but I can't decide between X600, Motion Plus, or even Bose Soundlink.
@@Xtremefox7 I had a motion plus and sent it back ! I settled on the two motion booms because on their own their amazing, in a pair are really impressive when linked together, and they're £53 each on Amazon !
@@Xtremefox7 I'd say x600 but don't rule out what I did, 2 motion booms and you've got a perfect stereo, depends on the size of the room!
100 000 years from now aliens will dig ground and will find a thick layer of bluetooth speakers from year 2000
I wonder how it compares to the TDK A34, which sounds amazing and it's very well made?
What's the point of having those sound options if it sounds crappy w/o them on?
I think they're making normal enhancements seem awesome when they're really same ol, same ol
I have the soundcore boom.
The soundcore motion +
Is it worth looking at this when i have these 2 already?
It's a different beast alktogether. More refined sound and the spatial audio functionality.
I love soundcore
Hi how are you ? Sorry just wondering I already have a Motion+ and Not sure if I should buy one more or buy two X600 while its on sale in Australia Thanks
cool. now how long is the life of the battery? my JBL lasted 2 years.
Mom, can we have Adam Savage?
No, we have Adam Savage at home…
*Adam Savage at home (Painfully Honest)
Who's Adam Savage?
Using iphone doesnt support major dac settings such a aptx or ldac so potentially you could get even more out of the speaker
Potentially, but I'm not sure it would be a super big difference.
Re-Packaged Roland BMT-1, but enhanced for better sound.
Where do I put the cassette in?
In your mind.
Sir Sonos Era 100 Denon 150. Compare Plz Reply 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Does it better than divoom tivoo max ?
impressive!
How many portable speakers have you heard?
Please fiddle with your noise gate and compression a bit on your mic. I can hear some background noise whenever you're talking (fan? heater? ac? not sure what), then a hard cut to silence when you stop. I really want to listen to you, but that's all I can hear.
Congrats. You can hear a noise gate at work. I do this by myself and make every effort to get it as right as I can. Sorry it didn't live up to your standards.
At 4:15 how did the iPhone play hi res over Bluetooth?! iPhone doesn’t have LDAC Bluetooth codec does it?!
No, but the iPhone has its own hi res codec
@@thejasontlewisno. Apple can’t play hires over Bluetooth. It’s limited to AAC over Bluetooth which is still 320kbps but sounds better than mp3. ALAC is their hires but is pointless unless you’re wired. Can you wire to iPhone with USB somehow
You can’t hear lossless via Bluetooth connection. Needs to be wired in, I believe. I could be wrong; not an audiophile.
That would make sense since bluetooth (given the way it works) compresses the audio anyway.
If you use L-DAC you will get full res lossless won't work with iphone though and will half your battery life
Soundcore - just like Wiim, Fiio and dozens of other Chinese audio brands - can do it for the price because they don't pay the wages we expect in developed countries (offtopic, but China and India are still considered developing countries). They also have efficiencies of scale that Western manufacturers can only dream of. The question then becomes how much of the cost of an iPhone made in China is the dreaded 'Apple tax' ? A debate best left for another day, but you DID ask how Soundcore do it for the money.
Why doset iPhone support LDAC??
@PAINFULLYHONESTTECH can you check the VIFA brand in some of their speaker , please let me know, thanks
130 in the Netherlands right now
Intriguing, but I’d like to know what sounds good at the 100 USD price point
This doesn't compete with the JBL Hyperboom right?
I'd get one, but I can't do that handle.
Bought the x600. Returned it the next day. Completely underwhelmed by its performace.
There are so many qualifiers after that worlds first it is completely meaningless
Not sure what you mean.
Why they don’t add (FM radio) on these bluetooth speakers ???
It's not 1979?
@@thejasontlewis well nothing good in 2024 either
Non disclosed sponsored video?
Hi, someone try to connect electroacoustic guitar by jack cable to it? Is it work for simple garden "play"? :)
I don't think so.
need a pre amp
Maybe for the price. But if this is the best portable speaker you've ever heard, you haven't listened to many
Why was the uploaded again??
Can anyone tell me how to add a subwoofer to a Bluetooth speaker?
rca to sub input or sub out
Only compact stereo speakers like monitors shelf speakers or book shelf self powered speakers if those has the Sub RCA output.
How are you a tech reviewer and actually think that your hi-res lossless tracks in Apple Music are actually outputting that way over Bluetooth? Apple only uses the AAC codec for Bluetooth which maxes out at 320 kbps.
Never said that.
