Wicked cool 😎 I’m gonna try to make another ring with a prong setting soon. A lot of fun. And the pendant looks great 👍🏾 thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

I don't like the tedium of stone setting much but I still like to do practice work, your ring inspired me to try !! Thanks for the gumption, Merry Christmas!!

Thank you !!! And thanks for watching!
I'm the same way I prefer casted, but my hands and heart want to practice soldering and scratch construction.
I'll have to check into that stone.

Its a tedious task for me! Happy with how it came out, not 100% prefect but that's OK!
Glad to be able to give some inspiration ! Thanks for watching!!
I tried hard to salvage this video, hope it looked OK, ran into storage issue, then deleted everything by accident, had to re-edit the whole thing.

      Smart thinker!!!!
I still need to edit mine, need a lathe to mill ends, and then bench grind off the points.

Learned a few things and picked up some good ideas. That’s a good video. What diameter wire did you make/use for your rings and prongs? Same size? What size is that stone? Thanks!

I've since lost this practice piece and the info card I made for it on measurements.
Kinda sad cause I wanted to finish and make a ring of it.
      Pretty sure was 10mm stone
      18 gauge wire for prongs
16 gauge wire for top and bottom rings, with top ring having bigger inside diameter than lower ring.
I'll be doing this over again, getting more loose stones in someday soon.
I have some new practice projects coming soon!
      Thanks for watching.

What gauge wire are you using? Great video! Thank you!

That was a hefty 16 gauge for the practice.
