Thanks for the great demo and review. Straight to the point without a lot of irrelevant narrative! I just got one used and am looking forward to using it. I have several other similar amps made by Blackstar, Orange and Fender but I’ve heard so many good things about this model that I wanted to see how it sounds first hand. Thanks again and I look forward to more of your reviews.
Thank you! Am still trying to learn and improve my playing so am not actually able to show off very well :) I also try and show off the gear more than the playing. I have seen so many reviews ruined by the ego of the player thrashing out stuff at a million notes a second which masks the actual sound of what you want to hear. Thanks for watching and for commenting, always appreciated.
Have you ever tried to put the phones output into another (clean) amp set to low amplification? Not for more volume (the Micro Cube is plenty loud enough), but to hear how it sounds through a larger speaker? Recently bought a used original Micro Cube like the one in this vid, getting to like it, also through good headphones and backing tracks via the aux in.
@@SaxJockey Yes, I have. Years ago, into a valve amp. It worked reasonably well but I vaguely remember reading something at the time that suggested it might not be very good for the amp you are feeding. Whether or not this is true I don't know. I find the Micro Cube alone is fine for my purposes.
@@xcx8646 Thanks for the response. My other amp is a hybrid (solid state op amp input, tube/valve power section) so might be OK, but I'll keep things simple with just the Micro speaker or headphones.
@@stevegroves The batteries are one of the little miracles of this amp. They seem to run forever on one set of 6 AA batteries, although officially it says they last 6 hours. It is amazing.

Thank you! Really appreciate the comments. Great little quality amps these. Have fun!
I have a red one I bought when they first came out in the mid-2000's still works to this day.
They are very well made, great little amps.
Same here, very solid amp. I still see street musicians using them too.
Have had one for 30 years! Great review! Was going to buy a Yamaha THR but you sold me! My teacher had one today as well. He loves it!\
Thank you! And thanks for the comments :)
Love the Classic stack and JC clean on these!
Thanks for the comment, yeh these are great little practical amps, I was really impressed with it.
THE Classic stack,JC clean and Brit sound is worth the money..great playing! Chorus reverb on the Nirvana sounded sweet
Thank you! Appreciate the comments :) Great little amp@@overnightguitarist5063
After seeing various reviews I purchased one last month for £40 - great little amp!!!
Well done! Great price too, these are fab little amps that punch well above their size and cost. Also thanks for watching and for the comment :)
Thanks for demo. Not too much showing off!

My main practice amp. Love it
Very impressive amps for money and size
Nice demo, thank you!
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. :)
I've gone through lots of small amps trying to better my Micro Cube, including the THR10. All have been moved on, and the Micro Cube remains.
Thanks for the comments! Yeh this amp just delivers far more than the price says it can do.

Wow, that’s a very favorable opinion of this amp. I just got one so I am glad to hear it. Thank you for your comment.
Did you say that it operates on batteries too?
I believe the microcube can run on batteries, think it takes 6 AA ones.

How is it any different than the micro cube gx? Thanks!
Sorry I haven't compared, but the GX has improved FX and amp sims, and has added memory function as well as other interface options for Iphone etc.
one lb heavier..... on watt less.... no tone knob
The only thing it can't give you is Delay and Reverb together.
Thats a good point, thanks for the comment and for watching! Still a fab little amp though.
@stevegroves Yes it is!
Fix your intonation, tune your guitar, please.//////
