You are the only person who has ever explained the concept of cutting against the grain.on meat. Thank you so much for sharing that! I totally get it now. I only found your channel today, and I love it! Take care, and God bless. I'm excited to go back and watch more of your videos. ❤❤❤
After all my years of cooking, corn cob broth is a first for me. I googled it to see if it was a real thing or just one woman's culinary invention. Sure enough, there are dozens of recipes how to make it! It's great to learn something new!💯
Enchiladas are usually softened in hot oil then dipped in the enchilada sauce then filled with a filling of your choice then covered in enchilada sauce baked then topped with cheese and baked until the cheese is melted
I really like your your comment about cooking and trying new foods. It introduces your children not only to different cuisine and culture but also to a variety of ingredients just like life and all its offerings. Thank you mom . Dinner looks delicious. Blessings to you and the family. Oh and I'm mexican, it's all my favorite.. Peace ✌🏼
Thank you so much!! I grew up trying all different cuisines and crazy ingredients and I believe that really helped me and I love to install that in my kids as well! Thank you for the wonderful comment!

Im new to your channel and I'm really enjoying it. I have a couple of questions if you don'tmind. Everything looks delicious. The enchiladas looked great but compared to the restaurants we go to and also my own cooking, where was the cheese? Is it common in Montana to go so lightly with cheese? I thought the same on the amount of meat for a family of five. Oh my gosh, I'm a fat girl. 😂 I probably should try it your way. Maybe I would lose a few pounds. Lol
Not so traditional but it still looks delicious and I’m sure everyone enjoyed it. As a Mexican, I would definitely eat this and love that you have added your own touch to it.
Spanish is my 1st language so here's a little help lol😂 Oaxaca (Wa-ha-ka) Cotija (ko-tee-ya) That's the best way i know how to explain it w/o you actually hearing me.🤷🏻♀️ I'm Puerto Rican though not Mexican. You should try some PR dishes. It's not hard to make n full of flavors!! Completey different from Mexican cuisine but equally as delicious. Great job Mami.😊
I've heard lots of pronunciationns of Worcester sauce but, who's your sister has to be the best yet... I can't breathe for laughing. Too funny. Great recipes BTW, looks yummmmmmm.
suggestion for BBQ. on memorial day,i made a baked beans recipe i got from the channel SouthernFrugalMomma. however instead of using ground beef,i used diced ham,i also added in brown sugar bourbon seasoning packet and for the bbq sauce,i used famous dave's sweet and zesty. it was a huge hit. to find the video on her channel to see the actual recipe is easy since it was just last month. i think it was titled side dishes for memorial day. something like that, lol.
@@mamabairds yea I think the oil helps a lot especially if the tortilla are not that fresh. Not that I’m calling your tortillas old but you know what I mean. Lol
That looked delicious and fun!! ❤ I bet the kids enjoyed that!! For the American bbq one, you should do Mexican street corn and pulled bbq!! ❤ that would be delicious!
Hi Mama B.!!! Everything you made looks delish. Look up on Google how to remove that white vein from the Chicken Tenders. I cannot stand that in my tenders. I always cut it out until I saw how to do it with a fork. Maybe you don't mind it in then tho. Anyways Spanish/Mexi is my second favorite kinds of food. I'll be making your recipes for sure. Never made frozen ice-cream.YUMS!!! Thank You for these yummy recipes...Great Video!!!...🦋
Wow! Quite a labor of love Mama Baird, well done on the Mexican feast! Looks delicious🎉 😋 Gotta have baked beans for that next feast you mentioned, I do a scratch made big batch in my Instapot with a leftover ham bone and then freeze it in portions for the summer, but even a doctored up can of Bush's is awesome 😁

Every time I try to toss around food in the pan like you did with the fajita meat, I just very awesomely tossing the food on myself 😒I am coking for a while by now but I started to accept the fact I'll never succeed on that tossing movement 😆You did a great job! I'd feel like I am in a high quality restaurant if I had these meals. ❤
I just came across your content today and I’m so here for it! Where did you get your cutting board with all the cutting mats? I just watched the Chinese buffet video it was awesome.
Great job! I love watching you taste test the items. You always give an honest review. Like the taquitos might have been better fried in oil. But they looked fine from the air fryer, and probably less calories. We do our chips in the oven for the same reason. They turn out fine. Really good themed video. Thank you.
Everything looked amazing and yummy! Hope you and your family are having an amazing weekend! Was going to say bye in chat but had to help load car with moving boxes
Yes! Has mango, bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, jalapenos, salt, lime juice, and a little honey. Make it as spicy as you want :-). I could just eat it with a spoon, lollol.
You soften corn totillas by putting in a small amount of oil flip over and drain on paper towels. Don't do too many ahead. If you use the yellow corn tortillas they are a little more firm. Hope you enjoy your feast. I live on the Texas New Mexico Border so Mexican Food is as common for us to make as American Food or Southern food (for me, that's where my family is from)

Exactly 💯 I was taught this way like my Madre taught me when I was very young 11 yrs old ...
The corn tortillas are usually cooked real quick in hot oil...not microwaved. And the white rice you have to toast in oil first for Mexican rice..😊
Yessss thank you😊
It helps to keep the tortillas in a warm damp towel to keep them from cracking
My gosh that was a lot of work! I hope your family really enjoyed!
Thank you! They were well fed that night!

Great video thank you. I used to cook like this for my family when my kids were growing up. Its a labor of love.
the corn flakes make a great coating for oven fried chicken (use an egg wash to double bread them). I use them often and the crunch is amazing.
I'll give that a try with my left over corn flakes!! Thanks!
Love that flip!!
Just now getting to watch this and you did a great job again! I love this series ❤ makes me so hungry 😅 🤤

And co-tee-ha

A tip : corn tortillas are traditional mexican enchiladas not flour tortillas !!
Thanks for the tip!
Many an authentic Mexican food restaurant in Texas sell enchiladas made with flour tortillas.
@@truthspeak9966 That's more like "tex-mex" food. Which isn't bad tbh, but fairly far from being genuinely authentic Mexican food.
