Here is my "mystery can" story: Our Kroger store has a clearance section of almost expired food, dented cans, overstock etc. Hubby finds a mystery can without a label and convinces the checkout lady to give it to us for free, He brings it home and we decide to incorporate the contents into our supper. So we open the can and ... it was canned dog food! We had to go to plan B for supper!

They cut my funding for my daughters disability in half this month with no warning, I have 14$ for food after bills and medications for her, I appreciate your videos I just went to the food bank and I felt awkward but everyone was so so nice the main guy running it even gave my daughter and myself some candies while we waited in line and now I’m gonna have enough to feed my family. Thanks 🙏

Free food is everywhere, I don't understand why a lot of people that cry hungry don't go get it. Some places will deliver to your doorstep, helped some of my neighbors find resources close to home, but it seems as if they always want me to take them or bring it to them. I believe in helping those that try to help themselves. They told me as a child, you can take the horse to the water, but you can't make him drink...........

the closed jar of artichoke hearts will usually be best between 3 to 5 jars when not opened...but because of them being marinated in oil and vinegar they could still be good for a long time after the expiration date

I was drooling over those peaches. I put up peach chutney today and am planning a pork roast for Sunday which will complement the chutney (not the other way around.) I was thinking that the coleslaw mix would make outstanding spring rolls with some wrappers from the store. Handmade spring rolls have a very short life in my house. I make sweet-pickled jalapenos that are a big hit, especially when I make Bahn-Mi sandwiches. You can also make "egg roll in a bowl" with some of that coleslaw mix. I can sent the recipe if you want me to.
    Great job today!
