  • Party Chex Mix is a traditional snack that is easy to make, and the whole family will love! Chex Mix, pretzels, nuts, and crackers are tossed in a delicious, savory spice coating. It is the perfect for snacking or to bring to a party!

    ✅Ingredients
    • 3 cups Corn Chex
    • 3 cups Rice Chex
    • 3 cups Wheat Chex
    • 1 cup mixed nuts
    • 1 cup cheese crackers
    • 1 cup melted butter
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 teaspoons Mexican hot sauce
    • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • ½ teaspoon sugar
    ✅Instructions
    1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2️⃣ In a large bowl, mix together the chex cereals, nuts, pretzels, and cheddar crackers.
    3️⃣ Melt the butter on the stovetop or in the microwave, and add in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, and sugar. Stir until all is well combined and all granulation has dissolved.
    4️⃣ Pour mixture over the cereal and carefully toss it to make sure all is evenly coated.
    5️⃣ Spread out onto a baking sheet evenly or use a roasting pan and bake the mix for 1 hour. Be sure to stir it every 15 minutes.
    6️⃣ Store in an airtight container and enjoy!

    My mother passed away a few years ago and every year she made my uncle Chex Mix. I think I'll keep up that tradition. Thank you for this recipe.

      An aunt of mine made this too. Sadly, she died 15 years ago. I always hoped that I could make it as good as hers! I am going to try this tomorrow!

    Also, every region of the United States pronounces Worcestershire sauce according to their regional dialect! So, all pronunciations are likely fine!

    This looks so yummy. I say the W sauce, there is a youtuber Smokin and Grilling with AB, who says that , it kinda stuck with me. Mr. Make it Happen saying is World in the World Sauce or something so really does not matter how you say it. You ladies are so amazing. xoxoxxo

    Are there instructions for the smoker? Pop it in the smoker after baking it in the oven or do the whole thing in the smoker using the same temperature as the oven instructions?

    I changed out the cheese crackers and wheat Chex for more pecan halves and pretzel sticks, upped the heat to 325 and just baked for 20 minutes in two pans. Tried it at 275 for an hour the first time, turning them every 15 minutes and they wound up just shy of almost burnt. I'll know here in a few minutes how they come out this time.

    Do you mean bake and then smoke it for a short time? or use the smoker instead for the entire baking time?

    Wuss-ter-shire sauce. Strung speedily together is sounds more like woosh-ter-sher. In Worcester, MA, the locals say, woo-stah. 😅

    I have a huge bottle of french's sauce and it had the pronunciation under the word. It read, "wus-te(r)-sher". I said it like u did too, and now it's hard to say it at all cause I keep getting the two pronunciations mixed up!

    In the south, we pronounce it woo-sha-shire, from what ive hears most call it. Pecans is the word I hear the most variants of. Some people say the right way to pronounce it is Pee-CANS. But to me, that doesnt sound southern at all. That sounds like the Boston way to pronounce it. Some call them pee-cons, but to me, the sputhern pronunciation is puh-cons

    In my house, and my IL's house it was said Wuss-ter-sure. I think my grandmother said it Wooster sauce, but she was an outlier. Nobody I've ever known (FWIW) has said Wor-ces/ches-ter-shire other than as a joke.

    I saw a video on the whole Worcestershire pronounciation recently. Tl;dr it's pronounced like 'worse-ter-sure". A combination of the English town Worcester and the suffix -shire (pronounced 'sure') like from New Hampshire

    I never buy Chex mix from the store it is way too salty for me. Make it at home I can control the salt.
