      @@HeidisGarage did you ever get your problem figured out I had the same thing happened to my 2008 f1000 turned out to be the chassis control unit

    • @HeidisGarage

      No, I think its the ecu unit. I've kinda set the project aside for a bit.

    Keep it up. You are determined. You will figure it out. Plz update us when u get it fixed as to what the issue was. Hopefully that stator u got ordered will fix it 🤞🏻

    Heidi Check the plug @ the ECU. Pull it out and smell it. If it smells burnt possible short between coil +/- .It happened to me.

      @HeidisGarage  2 года назад +1

      Checked the plug seems fine no burnt smell. I pulled my stator I think its fried! I just got a new one and I'm working on installing it right now! Hopefully it will resolve the issue! Thanks for the idea!

    Good luck. Lot's of mixed results with the voltage coming from the stator. Looked like only two wires were really getting anywhere near 10 volts.

    • @HeidisGarage
      @HeidisGarage  2 года назад

      Yeah, I'm ordering a new stator to try, I think that's my problem it doesn't make consistent voltage at all.

    My 06 crossfire died on a trail ride…. It was the tail light wire harness grounding out.

    • @HeidisGarage
      @HeidisGarage  2 года назад

      Yeah, I've unplugged the connector in the engine bay that goes to the tail lights and its still a no run.

    Great videos Heidi, i have a 09 crossfire 800 and I can’t get it to rev right. Bought new weights, springs everything stock and installed everything still won’t rev. It hits around 7200 and pretty much stays there might climb to 7400 flat out on a lake. Any ideas? Thanks

    • @HeidisGarage
      @HeidisGarage  Год назад

      That sounds like it could be your power valves. They are supposed to open right around that rpm and if they don't the computer won't let the rpms climb anymore. I suggest removing the power valves and cleaning them and adjusting the cable slack. Also inspect the power valve servo motor, it could be seized or burnt.

    Should I get a diamond drive sled or are they unreliable? Also whats the parts availability and pricing? Looking at an 06 m7 on the market. Is it a good sled in general or high cost to maintain?

    • @HeidisGarage
      @HeidisGarage  2 года назад

      I haven't had any issues with the diamond drive on my sled, they seem to be pretty reliable as long as you change the oil at least once a year. They do whine more than a chain case does when cruising down the trail. These are older sleds and tend to have more issues then newer ones but that's a given. From what I've experienced and learned so far with the one I have is that they seem to be prone to electrical issues, fuel delivery issues and clutching issues. Also they are known for cracking skid rails, I had complete skid failure on this sled the previous season. With them being as old as they are its a 50/50 if you'll end up with one that's good or one that's gonna need constant wrenching. Its a very fun sled when it runs good that for sure!

    What’s your fuel pressure at? I guess the 700s like 40-42 psi at the rail. Could be flooding out.

    • @HeidisGarage
      @HeidisGarage  2 года назад

      I have not checked it, I will tho! I think my stator burned out because I'm not getting good voltage on one of the coils.

      @williamkukhahn4966 Год назад +1

      @@HeidisGarage it does run I got ripped off I bought it for 1600 and it was buried under the snow. I live in the u.p up in Calumet. But the track and the skid is bad and it needs a bearing for the track drive on the break side. I only put 24 miles on it since I owned it. I ended up having a baby so I don't have the time nor the money to fix it I watched a lot of your videos I was going to fix it but nvr got to it. I would love to see it be fixed and used n not sitting.
