especially if we get to have an ultimate version of the tail laser crossing/mounting into enrage phase - endsinger kind of? had that vibe (inb4 it's exaflares again)
Given the next Ultimate in 7.x (probably .1 or .2) will have to be the Storm of Blood (Ultimate) or SOB (God I love these acronyms) and is up in the air if and how it’ll include the story beats as a story ultimate, I do wonder how it’ll go. Zenos as a gate boss makes sense but they also love to use orchestral remixes as the final song, as shown by literally every other Ultimate. The question then becomes if they’ll pull what they did with Omega on us and give us a completely different Orchestral at the end. Though… I see that as very unlikely and that they’d probably just get the orchestrals for Song of Salt and Suffering or Triumph put in somewhere else.
i sort of doubt it will be the last phase, given how DK thordan and omega both used different themes in their last phase. this will likely be used in a phase where you fight shin before he turns into super god shinryu or something idk
@@danito20 guessing OP is referring to how Yotsuyu, Fordola, and even Zenos in the end all betrayed their own people in various ways. Yotsuyu did it out of spite, Fordola did it because she believed her treachery was for the best (both in terms of joining the Skulls and that time she killed her own friends), and Zenos did it because he's completely disconnected from other people (just like his dad wanted, though I'm certain Varis didn't intend for the monster he made to rip out the throat of the people and institutions that made him a monster) and only cared about his own ends. Kind of like how the other big theme in StB is that evil isn't innate in a person, it's a combination of choice and environments that make them like that.

I really, really hope that the devs unleash their creativity with this fight 😌 it is the epic climax of a large-scale conflict betweens nations, unlike anything we've seen story-wise in this game. It deserves the epicness, it deserves the love and care, and I can hardly wait to see its ultimate whenever it releases
Yeah. A few in game themes dont have lyrics. But as theres a chorus for the Eorzea Symphony performance, they created lyrics for it. They typically feature the main leitmotif of the expansion like Endcaller from the EW expansion
Most of the chanting in-game is choir synths, which are as I understand not particularly capable of making real words. That said it wouldn't surprise me if the lyrics in the orchestral/the primals versions of songs with the choir synths were always intended to exist and it's mostly a technical limitation.
@@Akamehameha He doesn't have a novel....unless you mean those "Tales from the X" things that SE puts up now and then? Yeah I don't read the "bonus" long website content or side books (short stuff like Urianger's old quotes, yes); if you need that to tell your story then you're doing your job wrong, I figure...either writing too big for an MMO to fit or you just suck at conveying points in a timely manner. Emet is everything Xenos is missing, and more threatening to boot. Zenos felt like some sort of discount no-backstory shortcut to a Sephiroth clone wannabe or something...like, he was almost acceptable [but forgettable] since we had better characters like Fordola and Yotsuyu or even Varis, but he should have just died in this battle. Having him return with literally no change in character and contributing nothing other than a platform to stand on to what I consider two other bad villain types in Endwalker...just...guh...why. Wasted the other primal there in the first trial, too; that was a bigger waste than Shinryu here.
This is gonna be amazing playing during the final phase of Shinryu Ultimate

@SILVERONIN They saving him for Endsinger ultimate probs, would make sense as that's Zenos final confrontation at the height of his power
We fight the Endsinger with him helping us then last 2 phases is him as Shinryu, him normally and probably one extra phase
It just occurred to me that storm blood has a huge cycle of betrayal underlying it.
Explain? I played storm blood but I might have not payed attention

Stormblood was such a good expansion. It definitely felt like the moment 14 started diving into darker storytelling.
Final Fantasy: The Horrors of War
I like how the french horn at 4:25 synchs with arenvald’s own horn, nice little touch.
also low-key looks like arenvald sees zenos dead and immediately starts jamming 😆

I can already imagine the enrage at 4:00 where everyone has to die one by one and it'll be amazing
Exactly what I thought when I heard that part
Wonderful editing, always a pleasure to hear this OST, thanks
maybe in the EW ultimate we will get to hear this masterpiece

this bout to be a lit ultimate, trust me I am from the future

Curious if SB MSQ will be 7.3’s Ult or ShB MSQ 👀
If it’s SB we’ll get to hear this treat of a song soon!

Wait, it was in ENGLISH the whole time? I thought it was like fake Latin
The orchestral version has english/latin lyrics, the regular in-game version does not to my knowledge

Amazing music, amazing primal...dirtied by a terribly-written villain.
Did you read his novel?
Nah Zenos sauced up goated
