Sky Screamer at Six Flags Great Adventure

- May 18th, 2012... Here is an on-ride video of the opening of the new Sky Screamer flying ride at Six Flags Great Adventure. It was a beautiful day out and I had the chance to preview the ride before it opened to the public on a season pass holders only event. Check it out, its a fun and thrilling new addition...

Honestly, I wasn't worried about the chains. When I went on, everything felt like it was together and in place. I loved it! Didn't scare me at all. :)
Its a great chain of parks... Never been to that one, but i bet its a great park..

I can't wait to go on this, it looks massive, I can tell because it towers over the ferris wheel and that ferris wheel is huge.
Your gonna definitely love this ride, its a great thrill being almost 100 feet taller than the ferris wheel. I also miss free fall. I wish if anything they would have replaced it with another drop ride, but hopefully we will have one of them soon too.

I haven't personally been on the windseeker, but from what ive seen, it def looks better. Would like to go on both though...
Ill probably head over there for atleast one day... Its always a lot of fun to go during Halloween...
My son actually made me go on this ride and he got impatient waiting in line. However I LOVED the view. I miss the boat ride that went up the hill and came back down, and on hot days you could just stand in the bridge and get SOAKED by the guge wave it made. Sigh

I agree. I was wondering myself how this ride was being held together by small chains like that. but i guess you would need all 6 of them to break at once for it to fall so i guess thats the thrill of it...
Unless you are afraid of heights, it isn't that scary. It just gives a really cool feeling of being suspended in the air over everything. The moment when you realize that you are looking down at the ferris wheel is fun.
I agree. Its a pretty crazy feeling being up there that high like that. I wonder what it will be like at the new one being built in Texas that will hit the 400 mark. Thats intense
This ride freaks me out. Haha It looks less safe than Windseeker since it has ordinary chains holding you up as you swing around. But I still want to get on this though. It looks really fun. :)

It's not that bad... I think it was a great addition... Now it's time for some more roller coasters
I agree, its really freaky how they just have you suspended 240 feet in the air with just a bunch of chains. but it is pretty smooth when you get up there, except for some wind... But you definitely have to try it to see for yourself.
the chain links freak me out! they are smaller than regular recreational swings' chain links! i was scared for my life! but it was fun ^___^

even if its 25 or 40, it still pretty freaky just dangling up there by chains spinning around.. I think they did a great job... It's pretty intense
yeah, its pretty funny when you go around and your lower then the ferris wheel and then when you come back around your higher than it... Its pretty fricken crazy..
Oh and my aunt brother and cousin looked like ants but i still loved it

yeah, i knew that the ride wasn't gonna just fall down, its pretty crazy though that its just held up with chains...

I went on this when i was 10 im 11 now but my 7 and 9 year old cousin went on it with me it want scary at all

Thursdays aren't usually to bad, Especially in June. You'll have your afternoon crowds of kids from schools. They move out by late afternoon and its usually very pleasant. Lines arent to bad. The lines move quick on most rides except for kingda ka. That moves slow. You should have a good day and the lines should move nice...
i was on the on in coney island the seat belts and chains were rusted thats what got be scared
Always scared those chains are going to break.
I don't think there is much. I believe the wind seekers go a little bit higher, more towards the 300 ft range, but i think they do just about the same exact thing... Just different names...

It won't be 400 ft up. The support structure will be 400 ft tall, however the seats will not go that high. It will still be very high, but not the 400 ft everyone thinks it will be.

its 25 mph not 40 it is a lie i hate this it is soooooooooooooo boring like a wast of park money...they need a new coaster
