- List of 6 organizations in the UN that are providing paid internships. In this video, I go through the UN organizations one by one and discuss how much stipend they're paying. You can also get info of the required documents and eligibility which I explain at the end.

Really appreciate the content Sania, Just completed my FSC after doing O-levels but the only dream I ever had was to be a part of the UN even before I put my self in the rabit hole of becoming a doctor... Still a bit unsure as to which programmes I should go for when applying to a university but really glad you gave a very put-together preview!

Hey Sania! I have a question: is it easy to switch between the different organisations if the UN? Eg could i apply to a less competitive organisation but then switch into somewhere like UNICEF or the UNHCR later down the line?

I love and appreciate your content and I was originally considering applying to UNICEF, but you have motivated me so much that I'm now applying to the IAEA instead.
Q. The sentence "The duration of an internship is normally not less than three months and not more than one year" appeared in a newly published internship description. And the duration mentioned in the description is 12 months, therefore I wanted to know whether that meant that we could choose to complete an internship for only three months if we wanted to ?
No you cant choose. You can see the internship duration in the job posting

I think there should be some nutrition based programs in the refugees section of the UN

Hi. Is it possible for one to get a job in the UN or be able to apply for a job in the country their working in after the internship?
I don’t know what visa you require and how long you can stay there. It is difficult to get a job in the UN, you have to keep applying to jobs during your internship to get a chance. Or you can of course try to apply to jobs in different companies/organisations. But if you don’t speak German then there are less opportunities

You can apply until its been a year since you graduated. Ielts is not required.

No they will just pay you a stipend every month

Q: is the stipend/salary enough to cover living costs? Particularly as a person who is not native/ a resident in the country where they want to apply for the internship

People from all around the world apply so you need to have good communication skills, ms office skills, ability to work with diverse group of people

No IAEA doesnt allow remote internships

Even if you don't have a good GPA, you can make your profile look appealing by showing the skills you have/ any extracurricular activities you did

In the IAEA we have a department called MTIT so you can try applying there

I Don't have any work experience 😵
Interns are usually not required to have previous work experience

Because in the website they say that (candidates should have appropriate residence or immigration status in the country of assignment prior to the start of the internship assignment.)

Internships in the UN are not just for people from EU but from the whole world. If they need people from a specific country then it will be under the requirements section but mostly they are for people worldwide. Just apply to everything that interests you and don’t worry about visa

Yes you can look for internships in data analytics etc. I did one in HRIS in the IAEA

I would suggest coming for a masters as there are limited English taught bachelors' programs plus you cannot work more than 10h/week if you go for a bachelor's degree

IAEA usually has some internships in their laboratories so yes there should be internships of your interest, just keep looking at their website for new posting
