If Bo isn't going to be allowed into the house then why not build him proper cat house? Maybe something like a rabbit hutch (but obviously not totally enclosed) with an upper sleeping compartment. And remember to use straw, blankets will hold the wet and cold but straw will absorb it. And please please get Bo neutered. This will deter Bo from roaming for miles looking for a mate, then there will be less unwanted kittens being born, plus this will stop Bo wanting to fight other cats, which this could lead to serious or even life limiting infections/diseases such as Feline aids and leukaemia ❤

The flowers that you transplanted are Daffodils, part of the Narcissus family. They are Spring flowers. If you leave them to die back after flowering, they will multiply and come back every year. WARNING: the bulbs are HIGHLY POISONOUS for dogs, so make sure your fur babies don't eat them!! But don't panic- they are otherwise harmless, and of course very pretty! Hope that was helpful for you?!😊

    • @rosie4696
      @rosie4696 3 месяца назад +10

I came here to say that! I don't want to scare them, but they're not that harmless as you think!
After eating daffodil bulbs, typical symptoms of poisoning occur. Smaller amounts may because retching, vomiting, diarrhoea, light-headedness, sweating, and drowsiness. After consumption of larger quantities, collapse and paralysis symptoms and even death follow.
      Better be safe than sorry

This rams home just how big the US is compared to the UK. That you can acquire a patch of land, put a house on it, develop that land and apparently not be overlooked by neighbours. Here in the UK, land for a dwelling with a modicum of isolation from neighbours isn't readily available, and if you intend building a house on it, is very expensive too.

Guys, great job with the seed planting, just remember to protect that table the seeds are sitting on from water damage, it *will* stain if you don't!
Grass seed is that colour for a couple of reasons, it's coated in anti fungal stuff and/or fertiliser, as well as being easier to see! Maybe a bit late but dont sow to heavily, you'll just waste seed.
Pumpkin needs *very* rich soil, get a ton of well rotted manure delivered and put your seedlings in that.
Lastly, and most importantly, if you are starting a garden, get, or make, a compost bin❤. Good luck

Those flowers are called daffodils. They are my birth flower in the sense that I was born in March (I just had a birthday). They were my mother's favourite flower and she told me that when she returned home with me, as a newborn from the hospital, they were in full bloom everywhere (at the time we lived on the edge of Sherwood forest). There are almost 27,000 daffodil (Narcissus) cultivars, which come in many different shapes and sizes. The UK grows more daffodil crops than any other country - about half of the world’s total. Atm there are several in bloom in my garden and I have a bunch sitting on my windowsill. I now feel there's a part of me in your new home. Btw: I'm loving watching your home coming together bit by bit! It's very rewarding to watch. 😍🥰♥

You should build a rockery with the soil and put rockery plants in it. Just a bit of advice……build the soil upto a couple of inches lower than the top of the pot, then the daffodils won’t be leggy next year. Rake the soil after planting the grass seed and methodically space the grass seeds out starting at one end and spread evenly backing up so you don’t stand where the seeds are, then water in.

Nice one on the seed planting! 👍 Might be a plan to get a spray bottle when you next go shopping, then you can just mist the planters and not over-water them.
Escapee bra wires are just the worst aren't they Anna? I've often sewn them back in until I could get to buy a new one, but yeah, the wires are awful when they start to escape and dig in either your arm-pit or the front of your boob!
And the Feline Distribution Association heard that your place has some good feline guardians, so they thought they would send you another one. ❤
Be careful! Daffodil bulbs are poisonous to dogs and could make Maggie really sick. There's a chance too that these transplanted daffodils might die off due to the shock to their roots of being moved (just to let you know). And I love your step-cow! 😍Mabel is a brilliant name for her.

As a matter of interest, if you didn’t already know, there is a way you can make the little tomato plants into hanging tomato plants so if you hang them from a bracket just outside your door you can help yourself when you like as you walk in or out.
All you do is is to make a hole in the bottom of a bucket or a plastic medium to large plant pot, when your seedlings are big enough make a card board collar (use relatively stick cardboard or even thin-ish hardboard) so it keeps the plant and roots in the bucket or pot. Plant one or two together down through the bottom so they dangle and hang the bucket or pot from the bracket outside the door. The little tomato plant tends to produce a lot of the little sods enough to dangle and be available to eat as you need. A little project for you have ago at
Oh don’t forget you can shred up any gash wood branches and spread it around your garden, it rots down pretty well so does cardboard boxes and wool style carpets, they all rot down to make compost to add to your garden, oh and don’t forget any farmers local to you with cows or horses the animal poo needs to be spread in the autumn (sorry fall) [Ok! Ok! When the the North American invaders left the UK and Europe the descriptive “The Fall” was being used in the UK to describe the Autumn but a while later we changed to Autumn so The Fall did originate in Britain.] Anyway my Dad when I was young always had a bucket and small hand shovel in the boot (sorry trunk) of his car so he could screech to a stop on the country roads to scoop up any of the horse manure for his garden.
    Cheers you two! Good Luck

Yet another great video from the boss and jt lol
You should watch green Acres farmstead on RUclips because they are great too!
If I could come out to you guys we would have tins of fun with cooking (I'm a retired chef) and doing DIY projects (as I'm a maker, and I have built sheds and decking, in the past) but I'd have to take a ton of painkillers just to get through the day doing these things, but it would be hela fun, or as jt says "it'll be fire 🔥 maybe you can do a duo video with Sam from green acres farmstead that'll be awesome 👌 keep the videos coming guys u make my day everytime I see a video posted!

Interesting that you said potato tomato because they are both in the same family (Solanaceae) as are bell peppers and Chili peppers. So apart from the corn they are all the same family! 😉

The other stray cats are probably being attracted by Bo's food being outside. If Bo isn't neutered, then he will fight any Tom cats that come into his territory.

My cat Gaia would give Bo some competition with purring volume. You can hear her purr over the sound of the boats engine.
You should name your cow Burger.

Primrose or Lulu for the cow, but I like Mabel also. When your daffodils finish flowering, fold over the leaves and fasten or cut off the tops to send all the nutrients back into the bulbs ready for next year. I think your next project JT is to dig over an allotment patch for Anna to create a vegetable garden. Good luck growing 😊😊

Let Bo in the house, its starting to upset me. Take him to the vet and get him dressed, then he will be more loyal than any dog, he will wipe out any mouse or rat that comes anywhere near the house, quicked fact, 10 downing street is famous for adopting stray cats, because cats stop any mouse that tries its luck. It's on youtube , react to it, 10 downing street cats
