Contouring palates don't seem to be made for those of us with fair (pale) skin, so these are my go-to products to use if you want this look, but are too light for the pre-made palates from the makeup brands.

Thank you so much for finding and demonstrating these particular products. As another very fair-complected woman, I also rely on matte eyeshadow and blush for light contouring, but I've yet to find a shade that looks truly natural. I'm definitely going to try the products you've suggested here, as they look great and appear to be just what I've been hoping to find!
I have freckles and pale skin like yours and this is really the best way I've found as well. I do use urban decay "naked" eyeshadow to contour and it seems to work best, so Im definitely picking that eyeshadow up at MAC

After looking forever, I found a great video on how to contour fair skin! I have wanted to try contouring for the longest time but didnt know how or what colors to use. I am going to look thru your videos and hopefully find more How To videos for red hair! Thanks!

Benefit Hoola bronzer is really good for fair skin too
Try draping. It's a way of contour that's more friendly to gingers because it's mainly used with blush pink colors which is a natural color to gingers and looks bomb.
Love it! I'm fair so it's easy for me to look muddy. I like the NARS "Olympia" contour duo for my fair skin too! :)

I also use a MAC blush called 'Baby don't go' , its almost the same colour as your MAC shadow for contouring/shading.

You said it perfectly when you talked about using a light hand when putting on your contour.. you want a shadow not a stripe!! So many ladies are walking around with stripes on their cheeks.. & it’s not cute! I’d much rather someone tell me I look nice then say my makeup looks good. You really mentioned some great shades for pale skin! Good video!

OMG!!! A fellow ginger, whose super fair and multicolored skin tone! I wish I had your eyebrows. As I’ve hit 50 my hair is (sob)getting darker, but it usually does in the winter. And my eyebrows although still there seem to have gone incognito.

I use a face setting powder that is slightly too dark. I have fair/pale skin and it works great for me. I will definitely try the eye shadow trick though!

I use my Urban Decay 'Naked Basics' palette and mix some of the cool browns that work pretty well, and my skin is maybe 3 shades lighter than paper. However, i enjoy sharp contour, the drama is what i go for. But you can still do a really natural look with it, so i would totally recommend that as well! :)

I know this video is on the older side but I have to tell you this has been so helpful to me and I know have the confidence to do my own makeup for my wedding!
You did a beautiful job and the colors are GREAT. I love the way you were creative in using the eyeshadow for contour color. Works perfect and you have many more options for colors. I would recommend a bit more blending on the eye makeup so it’s just a tad softer and the same for the under eye contour. You have to blend, use less, under eye concealer because it looks like it’s creasing just a bit. Thanks for the tutorial. I went from blonde to red and that changes things. 😊

Awwww Katie you're so sweet, thank you!!!! As far as the freckles, I just use foundation in my t-zone and blend it out so you can still see the freckles. Otherwise you have to use a TON of product to cover them and that's annoying.
I suppose that would be the better option. I've struggled with my freckles from 25 years and still going strong. Even went through a Michael Jackson phase where I tried to bleach them off of my face.

This really helped me thank you for this video. I've been using the wrong foundations for years . Always have dark circles. It's because I was getting the wrong colors . I always had a shade darker when I need the lighter kind because my skin is pale. It's the irish in me lol

Literally no lol. That's the most common combination for gingers.
The rarest combination is actually red hair with blue eyes.
Natural redheads are mostly green eyed or brown eyed actually. Blue eyed gingers are the rarest.
Redhead with blue eyes are more rear

hey great video i use the elf countour kit the lightest one and it works for me, i am also red headed and fair skinned.
Amazing contour color for fair skin! Totaly on point, not too orange or too gray. I am super pale too and nothing suits well for my skin tone. Helped a lot! For final, you dye your hair? If yes, wicth dye you use? I know you are naturally redhead but the color is gorgeous. Xoxo

Thank you for the contour advice, I will give the NYX one a try because I am hearing about it consistently. I am a blonde, fair skin and have had trouble with this.
However, I want to comment on your makeup look here - You looked so young and fresh with the initial eye makeup + bare minerals foundation. SO BEAUTIFUL! But as you added the rest of the products, you started looking older and older. You didn't need any of them! (Especially the sheer foundation with the full coverage concealer under eye- it gave a weird effect with part of your face looking young, fresh, freckles.. and then the under eye looking so full coverage)
What color is your hair considered!? I'm a medium auburn and I love how bright your hair is, it is simply gorgeous!
